Larry, was there any "plus one hundred" folks whose performance stood out during this boards brief life span? Just curious..:>)

I bet it was the one whose bookmarks declined dramatically. Aren't crowds wonderful?

I'm not convinced that it failed. It looks more like a confirmation of the bull/bear advisor polls. Bottoms happen when bears rule.

I, for one, use it as just one more arrow in my quiver. and read it now as net 3/7 short. which tends to reduce my long exposure

Larry, it seems that just about everyone I normally converse with about the markets has his own board now. As a result I spend a great deal of time flipping from board to board trying to find the people I like to compare ideas with. Because of this I don't have the time to spend participating in this board, so I have simply inserted a link to the MDA board, which is my iHub home.

If you want to track my views that's fine by me, but please make it clear that you are reporting your impression of my opinions, rather than the opinions themselves. I'm really not comfortable with the idea of anybody looking to me as some kind of guru and risking money on that basis -- however remote the chance of that happening may be.

I have changed my short term view on my thread header and expect the following.

Short term view: Looking at the charts tonight, we should get a 1 1/2 day rally from the open wed. it could go longer and further, but im not gonna count on it.

I dont expect spx 830 to be violated to the upside during the next day and a half or so.

i think this falls under wave as long term i am still bearish

My GUESS for Wednesday, 03/12/03 is sideways, with a red bias early and a greener bias later. It looks possible that I'll go into +2x Profunds tomorrow afternoon, but that's still speculative at this point. I have opex week up, with a probability of renewed down the following week, but a possibility of up. Right now I'd say about 2/3 down and 1/3 up are the possibilities for the week of the 24th.

My GUESS for Tuesday, 03/11/03 is up, but I'm not sure enough to bet $$ on it so I went flat in Profunds today. I may buy some BBH (biotech Exchange Traded Fund) just prior to the open tomorrow.

My GUESS for Wed & Thursday is down.

Friday depends on how much down we get between now and then. Beyond Friday -- well I guess we should rally up to Max Pain, but I am planning to go into the weekend FLAT as a PANCAKE. 100% greenbacks. I want to be able to sleep this weekend. {NG}

I expect up of about 15% above 1260 within 4-6 weeks, or 20% if we break to 1220. I will have to follow a clear move of my trend indicators wherever they go

I see down as the main direction of the market for a week or two, maybe a little longer, but no more than say 10 or 12 weeks. Then we should go up pretty big, with how big depending on lots of stuff like how fast we got down there, how the war in Iraq goes, the economy and stuff, etc. I'd put the next IT rally at somewhere between 100 and 750 NDX points.

3/8/03 The PLUS 100 Indicator now has two parts(Tide,Waves)
Tide=Main direction of market.Weeks.
Wave=Minor direction of market.Day or a few days.
