Hi STS, On VVUS was in that one before the good news, and exited about $11 shortly thereafter. In retro very glad so.
NPHC has noticed the XCHO PR, but XCHO has not. But I care about good news more than 1 day reaction, the PR will help.
Thanks for tips on other info
You may want to go check out Nole's Mole Hole, message #270, I just posted another roundup of small biotechs and some analysis by TheStreet.com -- one of the stocks caught my eye, OPK -- going to do some digging on that one.
And although their rating for ARNA is a strong sell, it continued it's runup from $5 on Friday today, HOD is $6.75 so far, ARNA Yahoo board sez it's short covering, which may be true. Almost 30% of the float is short! Yahoo 52 wk high is $6 (wrong), the last time it broke $6 was on a short spike in Feb '09, 5 yr high is $20 back in March 06.
But even if this latest move is partly due to bad news on VVUS fat pill (good for ARNA's drug), I'm having a hard time believing it's short covering -- where/when did they short it? The highest recent short level was back in May when the stock was trading at only $2.50! And the 10 day trading average volume has quadrupled above the 3 month average, plus with the daily volume so high it would only take 1 1/3 days for all of them to cover right now.
So I guess the question is what's really driving ARNA up? The old shorts have to be out by now (although new shorting may be taking place)....hmmm....whaddya think?

Biggest News for XCHO since 1stQ #s Link on National TV/Radio Ad Campaign
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/xenacare-holdings-announces-upcoming-television-and-radio-campaign-for-over-the-counter-pain-reliever-cobroxin-2010-07-26
It took them a while to finance such a big ad spend, but they have done it. JMHO they expected higher stock price in aftermath of their spectacular 1Q #s which is rational expectation then when stock went the other way it was harder to get the financing on terms they would like. Now that they have the ad campaign just about anyone that watches TV will see multiple Cobroxin ads. Like the national cable TV ad part, FOX, CNN, etc. etc. as that means all the country will see the ads.
Very good and important news. This will be the first big exposure for Cobroxin a new over the counter Pain Med he sell at very high profit margins.
Cheers
XenaCare Holdings Announces Upcoming Television and Radio Campaign for Over-the-Counter Pain Reliever, Cobroxin
BOCA RATON, FL, Jul 26, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- XenaCare Holdings, Inc. /quotes/comstock/11k!xcho (XCHO 0.21, +0.01, +4.50%) , a company specializing in the branding, marketing and retail distribution of consumer healthcare products, announced today its upcoming Cobroxin advertising campaign to begin on July 28, 2010. The campaign is designed to support the rapidly growing network of retailers carrying Cobroxin, an over-the-counter (OTC) pain reliever clinically proven to treat moderate to severe (Stage 2) chronic pain.
The advertising campaign, which is scheduled to begin on July 28, 2010, and run through December 2010, will consist of 2,515 television commercials in 60, 30 and 10 second spots appearing on major cable stations such as: CNN, Fox News, Food, Travel, ESPN, USA, Lifetime, CNBC, Comedy Central, AMC, History, Discovery, Fox Sports, Headline News (HLN), and Home and Garden. The commercials will also appear on the major power stations, NBC, CBS, and ABC, throughout Boston, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., Nashville, Baltimore, Buffalo and New York. A selection of the shows on these will include news programs, "Ellen," "Oprah," "Dr. Oz," "David Letterman," and "Good Morning America."
In addition to the planned television commercials, the campaign will also include radio 770 radio spots during drive-time hours in Tampa, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Houston.
"The timing of this campaign is important, as it comes when Cobroxin has full distribution across the United States," said Frank Rizzo, President of XenaCare. "We originally tested our television commercial on the Hallmark channel last month and in one week, it doubled our sales at several major retailers. With a total household reach of 100 million, we anticipate this campaign will be equally, if not more, successful in pulling Cobroxin sales through the current distribution chain," he added.
Cobroxin is the first over-the-counter (OTC) pain reliever clinically proven to treat moderate to severe (Stage 2) chronic pain. Many other Stage 2 drugs require prescriptions, including Tylenol 3, Percocet, and Vicodin. The drug is currently available as an oral spray for treating migraine headaches, neck aches, shoulder pain, cramps, lower back pain, and neuralgia and is also available as a topical gel for treating joint pain and pain associated with repetitive stress and arthritis.
Additional benefits to Cobroxin include:
-- All Natural
-- Non-Addictive
-- Non-Narcotic
-- Non-Opiate
-- Long Lasting

Yes, I had been in POZN before, but you brought up the subject again and did some chart analysis on it.
Thanks
You're welcome (I think
XCHO temp break of 50dma, 1st time since it was in .40s.
I had not watched it for last 1-2 hours and see buying has come in. Chart looking more positive now.
Yesterday less than 1,000 shares. Someone is buying and having a little trouble finding sellers, 67,000 so far.
MFI all the way up to 50 and MACD holding its cross up which is now weeks old.
Cheers
Welcome Kilrtomato,
Its my favorite too, but there are lots of opps in pain meds. A sector want to keep an eye on long term.
The stock barely traded today (XCHO) under 1,000 shrs, folks are awaiting news IR for sure.
Cheers
Hello, I am not too familiar with any other Pain/Meds as far as investing is concerned except Cobroxin, marketed by Xena Care (XCHO). I hope XCHO can get something of a breakout with the release of their next report. We will see and I look forward to any insights you can provide in this area. Thanks
POZN Does get nice gain, NPHC and XCHO on 50dma
On POZN the mkt bounce here of course helped, but teh MFI signal worked.
On NPHC and XCHO, any up move will break the 50dma, both right on it.
JAV just got acquired at huge profit for the investors, so off list now.
Hmmm good omen?

Totally that is the case here. Its about making money and sharing info not the conterproductive people bashing stuff that ruins the value of a board.
Podes is welcome, but s said am building the site first before flogging it.
Cheers
Hi Cardoc,
Am not flogging this Board at all at this point. Yes its a shame when a board goes downhill. Normally its about national politics, but in last few months have seen worst downhills ever in some boards, without it being about national politics. We will not allow that to happen here.
Heard today that Cobroxin ads are running in midwest from an investor there.
If you have research stuff, please post.
Thanks
p.s geodan, i know podes under a different name on a different board. he does do good DD but has a low tolerance for bashers and posters with there own adjenda. he finds alot of good info, may be nice to have here on agreement of this is a civil board.
who else is here? I'll be camping till Monday will check back then. hope to get some honest opinions of whats going on with xcho. i have pretty much stop caring after the yahoo board went downhill and the hub board going the same direction. i have a local meijer in my area moving 5 units a week but also 2 cvs not moving anything, seems to be a hit and miss. meijer is big here, i never step foot in a cvs or walgreens until searching for cobroxin. i go 1 state north to camp and same deal there, mejer is moving some but walgreens not so much. talk more monday, have a good weekend.

POZN up even in mkt crash today.
Just a little but is making the chart call look good for now
POZN has put in MFI buy signal, Chart
http://stockcharts.com/charts/gallery.html?s=pozn
That does not have MFI, but it got to 18 and is now 55, and on weekly to 2 now 23.
A drop below 20 then going above, is a pretty reliable buy signal in my experience. If not for the mkt risk, looks very good here chart wise. JohnWayne introduced me to stock, maybe he has value opinion on it.
