SIRIOS/PONTAX : First Rock Channelling Returns 821 g/t Silver Over 4.36 Meters
11/15/2006
MONTREAL, CANADA, Nov 15, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --
Directors of SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE: SOI) are pleased to report the first rock channel sampling results from the PONTAX property where grab samples grading up to 1,665 g/t silver were previously released on October 30. The recent channelling was completed to validate the silver-gold occurence. The PONTAX property is located in the surrounding area of the Goldcorp's Eleonore project, Opinaca Reservoir, James Bay, Quebec.
Three (3) rock sawing channel samples totaling a 10-meter length returned the following grades :
C1 : 821 g/t Ag; 1.31 g/t Au; 0.56% Pb and 0.18% Zn over 4.36 meters incl. 3,343 g/t Ag; 5.4 g/t Au; 2.3 % Pb and 0.6 % Zn over 1.04 m.
C2 : 116 g/t Ag; 0.16 g/t Au; 0.15% Pb, and 0.27% Zn over 2.73 meters incl. 358 g/t Ag; 0.6 g/t Au; 0.4 % Pb and 0.5% Zn over 0.72 m.
C3 : 18 g/t Ag over 2.88 m. located at the outer limit of the mineralized zone
These channel samples come from the discovery outcrop, taken crosswise across the mineralized zone and located 10 m apart. A fourth 2.2-meter sample was channeled to check the host rock composition outside the mineralized trend more than 200 m away from the other ones and yielded no significant values. Sample assaying was performed at Lab Expert, Rouyn-Noranda, by fire assay and atomic absorbtion. All samples were duplicated and are currently reassayed at ALS-Chemex, Val-d'Or. Industry standard quality controls were applied, including blank insert between each sample.
SIRIOS completed this October-November a second more extensive channel sampling campaign, stripping, line cutting and geophysical (induced polarization) survey over a 2 sq. kilometer area surrounding the silver-gold discovery. Twelve new rock-saw channel samples totaling a 128-meter length were completed on six different outcrops located more than 400 m away from the discovery outcrop and were sent out for assaying.
The geophysical survey outlined a continuous chargeability anomaly extending over more than two kilometers, and which is open on both sides along strike. It shows an exceptional very high chargeability response over a little more than one kilometer of strike length, in direct association with the silver bearing zone. The geophysical data suggests that the silver bearing zone is open on both sides along strike, has a several meter width and is itself hosted within a larger disseminated sulfide mineralization halo of tens of meters in size. The whole of the mineralized occurrences in the area are coincidental with this anomaly.
The silver zone is hosted within silicified felsic volcanic pyroclastics (lapillis tuff, block tuff) bearing chlorite, mica and tourmaline. The mineralized zone is formed by disseminated sulfides (pyrite, galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite) totalling less than 10% of the whole rock. This mineralization is associated to the pervasive alteration in the tuffs.
The exploration of the PONTAX property is carried out through a partnership with Dios Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE: DOS), a diamond explorer. Under the original 2005 agreement with DIOS, depending on the results, if the project is to focus specifically on gold or metals, SIRIOS has the option to buy back DIOS' share, by repaying in cash or shares (acquisition and exploration costs at book value) and vice versa, and DIOS keeps a 1% NSR on the claims transferred back to SIRIOS that can be bought back for 1,000,000 C$.
Field work is performed by the personnel of IOS Services Geoscientifiques Inc., Saguenay, Quebec, with the staff of SIRIOS, under the supervision of Rejean Girard, Geo., Qualified Person. Abitibi Geophysics Inc. of Val-d'Or, Quebec, carried out the 18,4 km line induced polarization and magnetometric survey.
The PONTAX property is located in James Bay, Quebec, some 350 km north of the town of Matagami along the paved road going to the town of Radisson. One hundred eighty new claims (pending) were added recently to this property totalling 1,680 claims covering more than 870 sq. kilometers. SIRIOS is actively exploring the Opinaca gold area, James Bay, Quebec.
This press release was prepared by Dominique Doucet, P. Eng., President of Sirios, Qualified Person, who made a third visit to the property last week.

Yup. Grab samples just means they've got mineralization. It doesn't mean its economic.
Needs further investigation...
I'm sure you already know this too, but I always ignore grab sample results because it's too easy for the geo to simply pick up the best rocks as he walks about the property -- show me some underground core with those assay values and then maybe I'll believe it

Beaufield Resources Inc.: 27.6 G/T Gold Assay Result from Opinaca
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 29, 2006) - Beaufield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BFD)
New surface sampling by Beaufield west of what was previously referred to as the Channel zone was conducted during the 2006 summer exploration program. Assays received from the program included gold values of 27.6 g/t, 9.7 g/t and 9.2g/t within a geological sequence which contains altered sediments, conglomerates and pegmatite dykes. Conglomerates with a strongly altered matrix elsewhere in the area returned gold values up to 6.0 g/t.
In addition, a new area within the previously identified Rusty zone was tested. Two samples yielded significant values of gold, cobalt and anomalous nickel. These were 3.4 g/t gold, 0.579% cobalt and 0.9 g/t gold, .207% cobalt. These will be further assayed for platinum group elements. Other samples taken in the vicinity of the Rusty zone assayed 9.9 g/t, 9.5 g/t, 5.6 g/t and 2.0 g/t gold.
Beaufield has received the results from approximately half of the samples sent for assay during the summer program. Within these assays several other zones of anomalous gold and arsenic have been identified. These will be further studied during the current field program. The summer program has been successful in defining geology of significant similarity to the adjacent Eleonore discovery. A drilling program to further define the Rusty zone target area will be undertaken in October, as previously mentioned in the September 21st press release. The samples were analyzed using a standard fire assay with Atomic Absorption.
Gold assays were performed at ALS Chemex Laboratories in Val d'Or using a standard Fire Assay with AA technique (Au-AA-23) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectroscopy (ME-ICP-41), on a 30-gram sub-sample.
This summary has been prepared by David Rivard, P. Geol, Project Manager for Opinaca and by Jens E. Hansen P. Eng, President of Beaufield Resources Inc., the Qualified Persons under section 43-101.

Beaufield Drilling Begins at Opinaca
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 28, 2006) - Beaufield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BFD) is pleased to announce that a minimum 2,000 metre diamond drill program has begun on its Opinaca property in the James Bay region of Quebec. The contract, which is helicopter supported, has been awarded to Chibougamau Diamond Drilling Inc., a company with considerable experience in the area.
The objective of this initial program is to evaluate certain anomalous gold, geological and geophysical targets located during the 2005 program. The Opinaca property covers approximately 55 square kilometres. The current work represents early stage exploration and covers a small portion of the highly prospective property. A geophysical survey of approximately 350 line kilometres is underway. This work will be followed up by a summer prospecting program.
Drilling will largely be focused on the Channel and South Pond zones in the sedimentary (greywacke and conglomerate) horizon where surface sampling yielded promising results during last summer's field campaign. It is anticipated that between 8 to 10 holes will be drilled in order to ascertain the geological profile of the prospective horizons. It is expected that the holes will vary in length between 150 metres and 400 metres, depending on their
It is anticipated that the entire process of drilling, core logging, assays and results compilation will take 8 weeks. Drill results will be made available to the public at this time.

d'Arianne adds 55 claims to Opinaca
2006-02-14 10:06 ET - News Release
Mr. Bernard Lapointe reports
D'ARIANNE ADDS 55 NEW CLAIMS TO OPINACA
d'Arianne Resources Inc. has acquired, by way of claim designation, 100 per cent of 55 new claims covering an area of 2,860 hectares. This new property is located on the east-north-east border of the company's currently owned Opinaca property, located south of the Opinaca reservoir. The approval by Quebec's Natural Resources Ministry is pending.
These claims were acquired in order to protect the east-north-east border of the property and are located in a geologically favourable environment for gold discovery. The environment of the Opinaca reservoir contains numerous mineralized showings despite the low level of previous exploration done in the area. In addition to these showings, the area includes the lac a l'Eau Claire deposit (Eastmain Resources: 990,000 ounces of gold; refer to Stockwatch news for Eastmain Resources Inc. dated March 3, 2005) and the Roberto-Eleonore discovery (Goldcorp/Virginia: resources not yet determined).
Works in progress
As previously announced, the management of d'Arianne started its 3,000-metre drilling program on the Opinaca property. More than 300 metres were completed so far.
The 3,000-metre program will focus on the Contact showing which returned very good gold results, up to 567 grams per tonne gold (Au) on surface, during two recent exploration programs completed in the summer and fall of 2005. The Opinaca property was previously explored at surface but has never been drilled before. The objective of this initial drilling phase is to test the potential at depth of the Contact zone as well as its lateral extensions.
Contact zone
The works done during the summer and fall of 2005 confirmed the presence of a 50-metre by 300-metre gold corridor. During the initial sampling program in July, 2005, 10 chosen samples from the Contact zone returned more than one g/t Au, with two samples grading 85.7 g/t Au and 567 g/t Au (see Stockwatch news dated Sept. 27, 2005).
During last fall's program, 60 channel samples extracted from the Contact zone (see Stockwatch news dated Oct. 27, 2005) confirmed the potential of this important gold structure. From the 60 samples recovered, seven values were higher than 10 g/t Au with two grading 38.13 g/t Au and 105.81 g/t Au, and 18 samples returned grades higher than five g/t Au. Fifteen channel samples from this same zone returned more than one g/t Au. All of these results originating from a group of quartz veins within a mineralized corridor 30 metres wide confirm an important gold presence in this geological context.
The continuing drilling will test the attitude of the veins at depth and their lateral extensions, as well as the average gold grades of these veins, located within this important alteration corridor.
Chino zone
The Chino zone is located 1.4 kilometres east of the Contact zone. Previous exploration completed in the 1990s showed interesting potential for gold in this area of the Opinaca property. On this zone, four gold-bearing veins were identified and partially channelled.
Channel sample results showed grades up to 7.94 g/t Au on four metres, including 24.69 g/t Au on one metre, 4.9 g/t Au on three metres, 5.81 g/t Au on nine metres, 5.5 g/t Au on 2.3 metres, 4.86 g/t Au on three metres as well as 10.66 g/t Au on 1.4 metres, while some chosen samples returned values of 6.75 g/t Au and 8.22 g/t Au (GM55492 and GM56347).
These showings reveal interesting gold potential and management is planning important mapping works as well as striping and channel sampling in the next spring in order to identify the best drilling targets on this other gold zone.
Renard zone
Located more than 2.5 kilometres southwest of the Contact zone, the Renard gold zone also holds interesting results. Chosen samples returned assays up to 6.38 g/t Au (GM56347). This third favourable gold zone will also be worked on in the spring to improve the understanding of the geological context.
Management is confident to identify additional showings on this property during future surface works.
The drilling campaign is done under the supervision of Bernard Lapointe, PhD, a National Instrument 43-101 qualified person, and assays will be performed at Laboratoire Expert Inc. of Rouyn-Noranda.

James Bay Project - Cheechoo and Sharks Properties
Virginia Gold Mines’ Éléonore gold discovery highlights the geological potential of Quebec's "Mid-North" area near James Bay, Quebec. Virginia (TSX : VIA) has reported a multitude of high-grade drill intersections of greater than 10 g/t gold over significant widths (3.3 to 16 metres true width) across more than 1.5 kilometres of lateral strike length and to a vertical depth of more then 630 metres. Virginia has also reported that the system shows a very good continuity at depth and it’s recently discovered “north extension” has yielded several high-grade intersections. Throughout the fall of 2005, Virginia intends to continue with the evaluation of the Roberto system with an extensive drilling and mechanical stripping program (source: www.virginia.qc.ca, May 18, 2005 and September 7, 2005).
Golden Valley Mines has become one of the principal claim holders in this new gold discovery area of James Bay, holding 1,004 claims covering 528 km² (322,664 hectares or 130,582 acres) in the region. Golden Valley Mines holds contiguous claim blocks on both the east and west sides of Virginia's Éléonore property that hosts the Roberto Zone discoveries. Additional staking has been completed in this area by Golden Valley Mines, resulting in 14 wholly owned (100%) properties in addition to two option/joint ventures. Also News Release (C-DOS) Dios Exploration Inc
Ms. Dominique Doucet of Sirios reports
SIRIOS RESOURCES INC. : SIGNIFICANT GOLD ANOMALIES FOUND ON PONTAX
Sirios Resources Inc. has outlined significant gold anomalies under the till sampling program carried out on the Pontax property. This property is held in partnership with Dios Exploration Inc. on a 50-50 basis. It is located in James Bay, Que., 350 kilometres north of Matagami along the paved road going to Radisson. It is also approximately 75 kilometres to the southwest of the Eleonore gold discovery of Virginia Gold Mines Inc.
On a total of 145 samples assayed, 37 (26 per cent) heavy mineral concentrates graded more than 10 parts per billion in gold including 19 (13 per cent) grading more than 100 parts per billion, with a maximum value of 820 parts per billion. Several gold anomalies are grouped and up-ice of lake sediment gold anomalies up to 43 parts per billion gold. In a regional context, such results, are qualified of very encouraging. The study of the glacial dispersion, and the till content is continuing and suggests a proximal source. The Eleonore and Elmer gold occurences are excluded as a source.
Following these results, 215 claims (pending) were added to properly cover some areas of interest. The property now totals 1,127 claims covering approximately 600 square kilometres.
The till sampling program was completed during the 2005 summer on the property where 146 samples were taken for diamond indicators picking and then assayed for 48 elements including gold. The collect and preparation of the samples were completed by IOS Services Geoscientifiques Inc. (IOS) of Chicoutimi and supervised by Patrice Villeneuve, Geo, qualified person under the National Instrument 43-101. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) assays were performed in ALS Chemex laboratories, Val d'Or, Que.
Under the agreement with Dios (see news issued in Stockwatch dated June 8, 2005), the process for kimberlite indicator minerals (diamond) is paid by Dios, while the cost incurred for the gold and the base metals assaying is paid by Sirios. Depending of the future results, if the project should focus specifically on gold, Sirios will have the option to buy back Dios's share, by repaying in cash or shares (acquisition and exploration costs) and vice versa.

2006-01-31 07:37 ET - News Release
Mr. Michel Lemay reports
STELLAR ENTERING IN OPINACA GOLD PLAY WITH STRATEGIC LAND POSITION
Stellar Pacific Ventures Inc. is acquiring 100-per-cent interest in the Opinaca gold property located in the James Bay region of Quebec. The company is earning its interest by issuing 500,000 of its share capital to two prospectors.
The property, which consists of nine map-designated claims totalling 471 hectares, is strategically located adjacent to the Virginia Eleonore's property, where several major gold zones have been discovered. The property is bordered to the north by Virginia and Beaufield Resources, to the southeast by Azimut Resources, to the south by Beaufield Resources and to the southwest by Virginia Resources.
The main interest of the property consists of its strategic location within a geological-geophysical setting similar to Virginia's Roberto deposit. According to Quebec government report ET2002-06, the property is underlain by sedimentary and felsic intrusive rock similar to those associated with the Roberto deposit. Furthermore, according to various company website, numerous gold showings and anomalies have already been discovered on neighbouring properties.
Azimut, Everton find new targets at Opinaca
2006-02-01 09:58 ET - News Release
Also News Release (C-EVR) Everton Resources Inc
Mr. Jean-Marc Lulin of Azimut reports
AZIMUT AND EVERTON IDENTIFY NEW GOLD TARGETS AT THE OPINACA PROJECT, JAMES BAY, QUEBEC
Azimut Exploration Inc. and Everton Resources Inc. have identified new gold targets on the Opinaca project (A, A-East, B and B-North blocks) following reception and interpretation of the latest results of the 2005 exploration campaign. The Opinaca project is located in the immediate vicinity of the Eleonore gold discovery.
Assays for 286 lake bottom sediment samples, which collectively cover the entire project, have defined six sectors with anomalous gold, silver, arsenic and antimony values. These elements are known as potential indicators of gold mineralization. All targets measure at least one kilometres in extent and are defined by samples from several different lakes. One sector likely represents the signature of the 1.7-kilometre gold-bearing trend discovered on the A block (press release of Nov. 11, 2005).
Analytical results for 26 till (glacial sediment) samples from the A block revealed gold values for three samples: 2.41 grams per tonne (g/t) Au, 0.18 g/t Au and 0.77 g/t Au. The till survey, approximately five km north of Eleonore, consists of two long test lines and one shorter central line (with four samples). The lines are oriented northwest-southeast and spaced two km apart with sampling at every 150 metres. The gold values were obtained along the western (2.41 g/t; 0.18 g/t) and eastern lines (0.77 g/t). The survey was conducted in the up-ice direction from Eleonore, and the anomalous samples thus suggest a gold-bearing source on the A block.
Follow-up work will be performed on these targets during the 2006 program.
The lake sediment samples were analyzed by ICP-MS and neutron activation (INAA) at Actlabs in Ancaster, Ont. The heavy mineral concentrates from till samples (about 10 kilograms each) were analyzed for gold by fire assay with ICP finish and for other elements using ICP-MS at ALS Chemex in Val d'Or, Que.
The Opinaca project (A, A-East, B and B-North blocks) consists of 616 claims (321 square kilometres). Everton has the option to acquire an interest of up to 65 per cent in the project. Everton is the operator.
This press release was revised by geologist Jean-Marc Lulin, acting as the company's qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
d'Arianne starts 3,000-metre drilling at Opinaca
2006-02-01 11:33 ET - News Release
Mr. Norman Forrest reports
D'ARIANNE RESOURCES STARTS 3,000 METERS OF DRILLING ON OPINACA
d'Arianne Resources Inc.'s drilling has started on the Opinaca property which is located south of the Opinaca reservoir at James Bay. The 3,000-metre program will focus on the Contact showing which returned very good gold results, up to 567 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) on surface, during two recent exploration programs completed in the summer and fall of 2005.

Located south of the Opinaca reservoir, the Opinaca property covers an area of 1,057 hectares and spreads east to west on five kilometres and on two kilometres to three kilometres north-south. It is located 50 kilometres east of road relay kilometre 381 on the James Bay road. The access to the Opinaca property is greatly improved with the newly constructed electrical power lines.
Opinaca reservoir
The environment of the Opinaca reservoir contains numerous mineralized showings despite the low level of previous exploration done in the area. In addition to these showings, the area includes the lac a l'Eau Claire deposit (Eastmain Resources: 990,000 ounces of gold; refer to Stockwatch news for Eastmain Resources Inc. dated March 3, 2005) and the Roberto-Eleonore discovery (Goldcorp/Virginia: resources not yet determined).
The recent acquisition in this area by Goldcorp, the existence of gold deposits, the rise in the price of gold and the presence of many other exploration companies suggest the emergence of a new mining camp.
It's in this very favourable context that the company is starting phase 1 of the drilling campaign on the Opinaca property, Contact zone.
The drilling campaign is done under the supervision of Bernard Lapointe, PhD, a National Instrument 43-101 qualified person, and assays will be performed at Laboratoire Expert Inc. of Rouyn-Noranda.
