CEO Norman Tipton
Mr. Norman Tipton, Esq., has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Director of Trucept Inc.
For the past 10 years he has been Vice President and General Counsel of Trucept Inc.
Since 2007 Tipton has been an advisor to several publicly traded companies' boards. In 2013 he joined the Board of Directors of Trucept Inc.
He has previously held management positions at SAIC, a Fortune 500 company, and the San Diego Union-Tribune. Since 1995 he has lectured as adjunct faculty in law-related upper-division courses at SDSU. He attended San Diego State University, where he received his Master's Degree in Sociology and his Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. Tipton, a member of the California Bar, is a cum laude graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
Tipton, has a long record of assisting the boards of other companies, including Science Applications International Corp., a Fortune 500 firm that serves the U.S. government from its base in Virginia.
In addition to his business acumen, Tipton has extensive academic experience, teaching law at his alma mater, San Diego State University, for the past 20 years. In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s in sociology, Tipton graduate from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law with honors.
