There will always be opposition, and they will always spew the negative in that situation because the have an agenda. Same goes it with shorters of a stock ??

Looks like the street is not so enthusiastic about this announcement. A smaller plan means reduced production and reduced revenues. The PR also states that the environmental opposition groups have doubled down on their opposition to the project, regardless of the smaller plan angle, and are going to cause as much trouble as they can in efforts to stop the project.

All in all, regardless of how some may try to spin it to the positive, this was not a very good announcement from the company for moving the share price up to new levels. Trading today reflected that feeling. Its all about the share price, and the share price has stalled. If there are continued delays in an announcement of a financial partnership deal, the share price will slowly decline. If and when there is an announcement, it will depend on the exact terms of the partnership that will determine the direction of the share price.

I’m wiling to go out on a limb here and say the local fishing industry doesn’t like this plan
Even though pebble has eliminated the part of the mine that directly runs into the lake
And the fishing industry probably doesn’t believe that the modern technology will prevent mining issues

My guess is that they like it just the way it stands

They go together because of the way the state is structured, (Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act ). Back in 1971 Uncle Sam transferred land titles to twelve Alaska Native regional corporations and over 200 local village corporations. Those corporations became rich (Arctic Slope Regional corp) or third world poor (Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta) depending on where they sat geographically.
What does this have to do with Pebble? Well, unlike many destitute regions of Alaska, Bristol Bay corporation sits in the middle of the largest salmon fishery in the world (this years harvest was over 37 million sockeye valued at $209 million.) That little factoid is what is at the root of many of the issues facing Pebble. In other words, if Bristol bay was a third world economy the mine would be seen in more favorable light.

The locals need money, they have no tangible ways to earn said money without doing some type of resource extraction. In my opinion, the fishing INDUSTRY is what is driving the anti pebble campaign ,not the local Yupik dude. In other parts of Alaska the local population has been all over getting the resource out of the ground: North Slope Oil, RED DOG zinc, Donlan Gold etc, etc.
...and maybe the copper.

That is not Thiessen crying wolf in my opinion. The directors (and the company's counsel) are not so stupid to make statements like that if imminent partnership was not coming this quarter (because they'd open themselves to securities fraud lawsuit...).

Whoever wants to sit it out in hopes of buying in at a few cents lower than current price (which clearly is hovering around 1.70s in light of gold being down), will do so at the risk of the stock taking off any day! Huge risk when you know it's just a matter of time before the rocket is launched...

NAK has been dangling the partnership/re-partnership news since the Summer, Thiessen can only cry wolf so many times. If he had said something encouraging during the Denver Gold forum, dont you think the market makers who attended would be driving NAK into GREEN territory!!!? How long ago was NAK trading in the $1.90's? Watching the share price erode as it is is NOT a good sign coming from manangement.

With NO NEWS, NAK will base around $1.30 like Ive said all along. I called for the the $1.20's in the past and they have shown up. So I think $1.30 is a good place to re-start the fluff PR campaign. Its obvious that the CEO Thiessen doesnt give a crap about retail, and thats what lives on this board.

Rocky ride!?, Youre better off buying a stock paying dividends if youre really concerned for your grandkids. NAK is 4 years away from ever scooping out a bucket of soil. Thats a LONG time to wait to see if management is competent.

Anyone have the minutes from Thiessens presentation to the Denver Gold forum? He didnt say anythings spectacular to give investors the warm n fuzzies, a clear indication as to why the sp is going DOWN since then.

It's been up and down last couple weeks.2.40 and 2.06 spread..maybe settling at 2.20's??
You know more about stocks than I do for sure as I bought NDM on advice of a very sharp trader who watches 75 stocks daily.. I asked him for his best long play and NDM is it.
He told me it may be a rocky ride but that "NDM is a stock for my grandchildren"....what could I say after that?? Lol..i just bought some. Understand there is a risk ...i have little knowledge of what this company does.
