Gotta be some kind of game in there somewhere -
Suspect you might be hearin' Bill Belichick sayin' "how 'bout dem damn Cowboys" in the near future..
No doubt that McCarthy will be a goner.
The weather in Western Park is so bad the Buffalo Bills on Sunday had to rescind their request for people to come help shovel out Highmark Stadium from under the snow blanket.
The team had offered people $20 an hour to help clear the snow. However, a travel ban is in effect and Bills told people who wanted to help to stay home.
Joe stepped in and did a great job---I think he was their 5th QB this year---but Father Time remains undefeated
Yep - Stroud is much more than a running QB that will burn himself out before he really learns how to play. Jordan Love, too.
Those pick-6s cost Flacco a lot of money . . . and credibility.
Yes. They were good.
If their defense makes the kinds of plays they did today, they're gonna be a tough out
Yes, he doesn't get rattled. Going to be interesting how far he can go.
Hasn't looked like a rookie and tonight looked every bit a veteran MVP type---cool as a cucumber
His skill sets are going to be fun to watch over the years.
....Stroud pickin' the Browns "D" apart as the Texan "D" pick-sixed Flacco apart

"The Ice Bowl," the NFC Championship game between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys in Lambeau Field on Dec. 31, 1967, was the coldest game in NFL history, registering at a blistering negative 13 degrees with wind chills of negative 48 degrees.
As of Saturday morning, the temperature for Saturday's kickoff between the Dolphins and Chiefs is forecast for negative 5 degrees with wind chill making it feel like negative 30 degrees, according to AccuWeather.
There's a "slight chance of snow" between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. leading into Saturday's contest, according to the National Weather Service. By Saturday night, there are winds of 16-20 mph expected, with gusts up to 29 mph. A wind chill warning is in effect until Tuesday.
How does overtime work in the NFL playoffs?
The format will be quite similar to what fans are accustomed to in the regular season, with two significant exceptions: both teams will have the chance to possess the ball and games cannot end in ties.
There will be a three-minute intermission after the end of regulation, leading to a mid-field coin toss exactly like the one at the start of games, in which the visiting team captain makes the call. The winning team can either choose to receive or kick the ball, opt to defend a certain goal post or defer the decision. Unlike the regular season, if the team that receives first scores a touchdown on its first possession, the game will continue and the second team will have the chance to possess the ball. If the game remains tied after the second team's possession ends, then sudden-death rules will apply, in which any score can win the game.
Is the Chiefs field heated?
Yes!
The Chiefs invested $2.2 million to install a heating system under their field in 2016.
The project took three years to complete as engineers installed thousands of feet of pipe in the sand below the playing surface. Those pipes are fed with heated water from the stadium's boiler room, warming the field.
The boiler room is under the bleachers near the player's entrance tunnel. It was installed in 2014. It connects to the pipes which are laid out nine inches apart at a depth of nine inches.
The grounds crew in Kansas City will have begun the heating process days ago. By game time, the temperature of the soil should be around 50 degrees.
So even though Arrowhead Stadium will be colder than a freezer, the field itself will be relatively toasty. That's good for the players who have to run, jump and fall on that surface. It's one less thing they have to worry about. And if it snows, there shouldn't be much issue with seeing the lines on the field, nothing's going to stick. At most, frost may form on the tip of the grass.
The Chiefs finished the regular season at 11-6. They're a 4.5-point favorite over the Dolphins, who certainly aren't as acclimatized to this kind of cold as KC's players. How much of an edge will that give Patrick Mahomes and company? We'll have to find out.
Steelers-Bills postponed to Monday afternoon due to winter storm
The Wild Card game between the Steelers and Bills scheduled for Sunday in Buffalo has been postponed until Monday.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the time and date of the game has been changed to 4:30 p.m. ET on January 15 due to the massive storm that is set to hit the city. The storm is expected to bring heavy snow, high winds, and frigid temperatures to the area.
A travel ban for all of Erie County is going to be in effect as of 9 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
It's the first time that weather has caused an NFL playoff game to be moved to a later date. A January 2017 playoff game between the Steelers and Chiefs was delayed from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. due to an ice storm.
Saturday night's game between the Dolphins and Chiefs in Kansas City is still set to move forward despite temperatures that are expected to dip below zero and feel even lower thanks to wind chill.
Yep, congrats to all the winners, and screw NBC Universal. (Greedy Bastards) They won't get my money.
the guy is right......I hope they get the lowest viewership ever for a game with this stunt......
The guy is right imo.
NFL are pigs it's never enough money.
I love this game like no other but there will be a point where I say enough.
all the other games that were Pay to watch were Replayed at midnight an 3 am on the Nfl channel. I just record it and watch it when i get up.......
Saturday night's game will be shown on Peacock after NBCUniversal won the rights last May. The game will be broadcast on the NBC affiliates in Kansas City and Miami, following the NFL's protocol for Thursday night games streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
Everyone else will have to pay for a Peacock subscription — plans start at $5.99 per month — to watch the game, and some fans are less than thrilled about the NFL putting a playoff game behind a paywall for the first time.
According to various reports, NBCUniversal paid $110 million for the rights to the game.
“I mean, the NFL, which prints money — that’s got more money than God — they gotta make another $110 million for that stupid Peacock game,” commentator Chris Russo said on ESPN's “First Take” program. “Oh my God, that drove me crazy! That is being a pig! That’s what that’s being.
"So, the poor person who’s 75 years of age, who’s followed the Chiefs since (Hank) Stram and Len Dawson, has gotta figure out on his remote where to get the stupid game and pay for the streaming service to see a playoff game!”

yea well, this has been the season of upsets
finished the season with 2 losses---else they'd be playin' this round in balmy Miami...
Poor Dolphins
The wind chill in Kansas City Saturday night is now expected to drop to -21 degrees, the National Weather Service says.
During the Dolphins-Chiefs game it won’t be as bad though!
The second half wind chill should only be -14 with a real temp of 4 degrees.
the wind will make this more ridiculous than KC---poor Dolphins LOL
this one sounds Brutal also.....
With the temperature expected to be below freezing, wind gusts of 50 miles per hour and possible light snow, the Steelers will lean heavily on their ground game against Buffalo
yep! The weather will probably increase the viewership with people not going because of it and buying a sub. instead. And others will pay to see the historic new "sub-zero bowl"
Nice pickin'---you were solid all season---there's a job waiting out there for ya---check out where your 179 wins puts you against the industry experts----

Same situation with the Amazon Prime members and the TNF and the recent Black Friday Football games. I have been a Prime member anyway so this came through as an added bonus. The early Prime TNF games were very hokey but things have gotten better.
I watch a ton of "futbol" so I've had Peacock for awhile---I'm free thru Sept 2024 from a Spectrum promo
