Dunno if you or anyone on here is a Theater/Opera buff, but thought I'd pass this along. Someone in London posted on our General slack:

You've got the entire month of April at the very least.
Ohhh, that’s going to take some thought....
Give me a bit and I’ll get back with you.
Gimme a list of your top 8 movies and I'll make some suggestions for you.
Sadly, I think you’re right. He was pretty perfect for the part.
Since Anton Yelchin is dead. Might make it a tad tough for sequels
Not at all! Odd Thomas is a Dean Koontz character. No Hogwarts involved.

"Odd Thomas"???? Is he a friend of Harry Potter?
I’ll check it out.
On a side note, I kind of wish they would carry on with the Odd Thomas series. They’re great books and the movie was pretty good, too.
I know. And I still don't understand you.
I can’t fathom that we have known each other for 20 years!
I've known you for 20 years and still cannot fathom how you are the one person in the world who doesn't love The Princess Bride. He was definitely better as Inigo Montoya.
While I find Carrie Matheson very annoying,
Me too! Between her facial distortions and the click clacking of her shoes! Someone buy that girl a pair of sneakers!
One of the reasons I never liked The Princess Bride was because I didn’t like Mandy Patinkin but now I like him as Saul.
Miracle Workers has been an interesting concept. Each season is same cast with totally different timeline.
Some funny stuff.
We had fallen behind on Homeland, but now have had the time to catch up. While I find Carrie Matheson very annoying, the show had gotten a bit boring, but bounced back this season.
LOL I had some questions, for sure, but they didn’t detract from the enjoyability of the film.
Is she your boss? Are you required to suck up to her?
I saw so many flaws in that movie it was silly. Let me compile for you a list of much watch shows.
Finally got around to watching it last night. Wow is right! I knew it wasn’t going to be like either of the iterations of the show, but it was really good!
LOL....sad but true
I just saw that it was available yesterday and haven’t had a chance to watch it yet. The previews looked really interesting, though. I’ll probably check that out this evening!
Really? We saw it and thought it ridiculous.
Wow, just watched Invisible Man - an "on the edge of your seat" thriller. I have some memory of watching Invisible Man either on TV or a previous movie. This is nothing like my memories of those shows.
It's a smart, intense movie well worth seeing. I think we paid $20 to rent it on AMZN but there were 3 of us and it's still in theaters so we justified it. ha
If you get a chance to see it, I recommend it.
Provided Dispatches from Elsewhere doesn't turn into Twin Peaks, this show will be creatively unique. From the opening scene of the first episode you know it's going to be different.
I am happy with the after effects of the election. Market was tanking when it looked like Hilary was going to win. Day after the election the market has made a massive run. I would say this affects my life at the moment more than anything else.
Also happy for what Trump is doing (or undoing) for the military. Not happy he's wasting money on a mostly useless wall. Would have preferred to not see interest rates dropping further, but that's more a worldwide problem.
So in essence, I would say I'm happy with the result. I am most unhappy with how the Democrats and liberal have responded to it though. I am not happy that CEO's of companies have been threatened not to be on Trumps cabinet, forcing him to bring in the very people he opposed before the election.
Man, this is really becoming just another political board. We probably don't need another.
Are you watching "Dispatches from Elsewhere" that started last night?
Will either be totally oddball, or extremely creative. So far it's intriguing.
Are you happy with the result of the 2016 election?
0ver 50% of the voters picked the against Trump. What difference?
You'd prefer I vote for someone I don't want?
I just don't believe in non-voting or writing in a name.
LOL! Now that's just silly. In my State, ALL of the electoral votes went to Trump, so if I was non voting was also a vote for Trump in your mind....for that matter, my vote for …...geez, can't even bring myself to say it...Hilary {yecch} would also have been a vote for Trump.
Well, that was pretty much a vote for Trump anyway.
I never voted for Trump. I can't bring myself to vote for someone I don't believe in. Rather write in my own candidate and let the chips fall where they may.
but you don't like him enough to vote for him?
I would vote for whoever gets the Democratic nomination.
Did you like Trump when you voted for him?
Pete was looking out for the country and not himself when he dropped out. He will be back.
but you don't like him enough to vote for him? I see your buddy Pete dropped out this weekend. That's a shame. I liked him in debates.
When he was mayor of NY I thought he was arrogant.
Some things don’t change.
What I do like about him is he puts his money where his mouth is. He has put a lot of money into organizations for gun safety and control and also climate change.
So, as a New Yorker with your insight, what do you think of Bloomberg?
Ah! I forgot they were Irish! LOL! Yes, you can say that.
My peeps are much nicer though!
Are you talking Miracle Workers?
Your peeps. Irish folks (am I still allowed to say that?)
This is the 3rd season. Each season it's a different story but the main character is always in it.
I think you would like it.
Guessing you like Ray Donovan as it has all your peeps.
My peeps? Which peeps would that be?
I don't think Rob will allow it. Seems his logic is, if he's getting voted out, it's because he screwed up, not someone else. He does dominate the game.
Never heard of Sinners, but doesn't sound like my kind of show. I wish Grey's Anatomy would die already!
Guessing you like Ray Donovan as it has all your peeps. I think they've jumped too many sharks already.
I liked Big Bang very much and now Young Sheldon. I know one of the writers of the show and its kind of funny as she's always trying to research Texas in the 80's. Quite a few suggestions she has that Chuck Lorie shoots down. Like how they seem to travel from Dallas to their house so quickly and why there's a stinking milk cow at the beginning and there are mountains and plateaus in the background when they're supposed to be in East Texas.
I got bored with Billions as it's just so unrealistic.
I haven't found the time to watch Homeland yet this year, but have them saved. So many shows on DVR I need a binge week to catch up.

A board to review, talk about, recommend your favorite movies, tv shows - reality and otherwise, actors, music, books, food, anything you feel like chatting about.
We like to use the pickle system around here, but feel free to rate as you see fit.
If you like the system, it goes as such
0 - 1....you would probably want to recommend to derf
1.01 - 2....better wait for HBO
2.01 - 3....worth a rental, maybe even a trip to the picture show
3.01 - 3.99....pretty much a must see, either in the theater or DVD.
4....WOW
