Nice job on integrating and remembering our profile name in digichat!

Maybe the return page after sending a private message can also have a banner on it.

iBox
When I return to a discussion board, I want to get right to the posts. Scrolling down to get past the iBox I've already seen is a bit of a nuisance.
Possible changes:
1. Default to iBox not being displayed, with a link giving access to it ("What this board is about"). Possibly allow a member preference, set in profile, about display of iBox.
2. Keep track somewhere of boards a user has been to. Only display iBox on first visit. (still a good idea to have it available via hyperlink)
Bernard,
THe only problem with the embedded issue is screen size. We will have to determine later what is the avg screen size and set the appropriate measurements.
Right now, it serves its purpose, but I do like the embedded stuff better....
Chris,
Links now open a new window, per your request.
The old messages won't open new ones, but anything NEW posted in messages or iBoxes will now open a new window.
FM
The Live! chat feature should be embedded into the page. It's very often that users will use the Live! page to load other links, as a result, the chat will be shut down, and this cause a lot of hassel to restart it. JMHO. As far as I know this is the V2.0 "bug", because they want to make digichat to run smoothly in most platforms. However, V1.5 can have the chat window open and you can still use the login page to load other stuffs.
For the advertisement links, I think I've mentioned it, they don't open up in a new window... you know the rest.

I agree, Chris.
I sent it to Gman a few days ago and it's on his list.

Matt,
I just noticed something, when I click on a link here it dosne open another page. I happen to like it when another page opens, that way I can look around the link and just close the window to get back where I was before.

You will see the messaging numbers and in reply to stuff is not etched out to my perfection. When it's near - perfect or perfect, Fatt Matt sytle, then it will show up as RESOLVED.
As far as Search..come on now, Jordan..you know that's the only way I would have it. I'm a DD/Research freak...search engines that are convienent and powerful are like blood to me.
Where's my steak? Heeee ya boy! Get me some BEEF!

I would like a way to save and file public and private messages....sent AND received. For later reference if needed.....oh the voice of past experience coming to haunt me! LOL
Probably in the works I suspect....just suggesting.
:^D
or maybe I just don't understand what I am seeing....hmmmmmmm...that COULD be it!
:^D
uh....number the posts on the thread....all I see is the post # being replied to....but what good is that if you can't easily see the # of each post on the thread.
hehehehehe
The ability to search from any page kinda like on SI would be nice....flexibility is the key to transparency.
<vbg>
btw...love ya phatty!
I'm saving pennies for your steak.....if my penny stocks keep moving the way they have that is all I will have!!!
hum... when I hit the reply button, the following page doesn't include the poster's name of the previous message (just the main message body)... maybe you should include that, since sometimes, people like to put the poster's name as the topic of the reply message...
Or... did I overlook again? ROTF.

Steve,
Regarding the # of posts on the thread, that sholud have been fixed, but I see where it isn't. I caught it a few nights ago. It makes it show public and private in the count...
Good eye!
FM
Latest Post - Change this to only include Public Messages. The way it is now, user may think something isn't working when the time on the last post he sees doesn't match the time of the latest post. Anguish and e-mail to support could result.
Suggestion - On home page where the items are marked Resolved, please include date resolved. That will enable users to zero in on what changed since last visit.
Yes sir, you are correct.
When the Gman (the web guy) integrates the spell-check, there will be a preview page before posting. We will also add an HTML tag to allow posting of financial tables, etc.
Our spell-check program is going to be quite interesting. Not like any other site out there. Ye shall see!
"slicker than teddy bear poop". - PappaJohn
I like that line ;)
We will be widening our BETA user-base and allow more people to come in this week. An update/link will be on the homepage so that you can let your friends in and especially people you think will set up boards for particular stocks.
IHS
Sheriff dude, I assume preview pane is coming.
I am guessing that would be part of the spell-checker. An aid to posting tables would be to have composition pane, preview pane, and the posted pane all the same width so you can accurately see how it will come out. RB can turn tables into a minor disaster with their composition and preview panes being different widths than the final post pane. If it looks hunky-dory in composition, it should look the same in preview and/or post.
'tis interesting to follow the build progress of this site. Looks like it will be "slicker than teddy bear poop".
Matt,
If you sent me a private message, its not coming up in my mailbox. Though that would explain the counter saying "1" even though mailbox appears empty.
Steve
Steve,
See if it all works the way you requested. We liked your ideas.
MB
I'll send you a PM to test it out.
We are working on some modifications to come soon that take you directly back to the board, instead of making you click on the link.
There is a small coding problem in ASP (which is the format our site is in) that we have to figure out.
This is on our list though.
As far as a spelling-checker, we plan to have something like this up and going after our private placement (which is when we will move to our own, in-house servers).
Good suggestions though.
IHS
P.S. Gman, I need my Sheriff's Office set up
Navigating through Categories
Please look into installing a Tree View. This would make it easier to see what's in a category without calling up a new web page (in turn making it easier on iHub's server).
All boards in a category would be hidden on the page where the categories are listed, and displayed if the "+" next to the category was clicked. "+" would then change to "-", and clicking on "-" would compress the list again.
I e-mailed a sample to Matt, not sure he got it in one piece.
I might be a little demanding but I would like to see a spell check, not just the one that says its spelled wrong, if I knew how to spell it in the first place I wouldnt have spelled it wrong to begin with, but one that give me some options on how to spell the words that arnt right. I understand that option would take up alot of space on your server, so I could be dreaming. I also would like to sugest that it automaticly takes me back to the board after I post, the less clicking I have to do the better. Anyways, its just my 2 cents,
Happy Trading,
Chris B
2) Why not ditch the confirm page? For instance, if I'm in mailbox and have two private messages, and remove one of them, I'd like to stay in mailbox and see the message gone. And many thanks for not asking "Are you sure you want to remove this message?"!
One missed BOLD function -
When you click on a Catgegory..for example, click on OTC --> once you click on a specific group, the top navigation isn't in BOLD.
I think the file is Boards.asp , but I'm not touching it this time
Fm
Suggestions on Private Messages -
1) Get rid of Replies part @ bottom.
2) Make it AUTO-GO-BACK to whereever you came from...---> show confirm page, then auto go back.
3) Put 2nd REMOVE link inside when reading the message - makes it way way easier.
That's all I can think of right now!

Yeah, I just found out about 10 minutes ago that the Testament was due toommoorow..I'm wingin' it too

Looks good bro
Its been a rough weekend around here. Trying to do the Testament without reading. My girl that I was talking about is having a problem with one of my boys.
BUT,
I checked the Next/Previous buttons last night. They are working good. I just noticed that you can click on Beta Bugs/Suggestions or More Problems at the top instead of pressing back or Disussions. This is new isn't it?
But I'm still big pimpin,

In the "where am I at bar"
I changed, per my email, various things.
But I see that hub_cats.asp might need to be reduced in font size as well....??
Looks very impressive though..
Beigle, whatcha think of new changes?
Johnny, get back to classs. Gman has plenty to do

Why doesn't Investor's Hub appear on the bottom of the screen?
I'm talking about the different button's at the bottom that take you to different windows.

maybe it will look better like this:

Matt-very small thing but,
on the log-in page the username and password are not lined up correctly. It's not off by much though. It looks like:
Username

Just a little something to give you guys something to do.

Steve,
You should see the board you category you requested via email pop up tonight.
I want to stay away from Religion, because of just how touchy it is. Yes, politics is rough, but Religion and get really greasy in an open, public discussion...
FM
Let's change "iHub Lounge" to "The Lounge"
I do'nt want to wear out the iHub "logo/word" and plus, it mvoes it to the bottom...
FM
Suggestion for iHub Lounge -
A Religion board might be useful (there's already one for Politics, what's a little more controversy?!)
I wouldn't be inclined to use it, but it's a good place to direct those that feel the need to post their religious beliefs on whatever board they happen to be at.
Yes, there are like 2 I think....
You can add some if you like. But if you arne't going to "manage" them, then don't.
FM
Are there any boards in the Canadian, OTC, and Listed Stocks categories yet?

Gary:
Let's add one more category....
<Level 1> iHub Lounge
<Level 2> Sports Talk
Politics
Television
Humor/Jokes
<Level 3> (they pick)

Yo! Gman!
You used the first list!
The second list was revised, 1 or 2 was taken out and another 2 added......
You know me, I can't get anything right on the first try.

Any idea when it will be available to edit the iBOX? It's not really a big deal but I would just like to know? And, what is the next thing you are working on? If you talk to Matt tell pimp daddy said hi
You can't edit the iBox just yet. When the capibility is functioning, the Chairman will have an option no one else sees on the page next to the iBox. Then it will be straight forward from there.
G.
How do you edit the iBOX?
I forgot to put something in the UVEW iBOX.
Limit threads to viewing the last 45 messages.
Categories (so I can remember)
We will be breaking the site down into 3 levels -
OTCs, Listed, Clubs,( and one more ) (level 1)
Categories (such as Computers, Web/Info, Portals, etc) (level 2)
Actualy discussions (DELL, MSFT, YHOO) Level 3
Level 3 is the level @ which people can create threads...
FM
P.S. I really didn't like your little bracket system for text features in the beginning, but you converted me. Much easier.
And no shift key involved! WAHOO
ADS -
Still trying to get the ads straight.
I am dropping that bottom one. It is annoying and it slows the site down tremendously for us folks with bandwith as big as a piece of hair.
I'll edit it and let you know.
