This was a reply I wanted to say at the WMIH board but put it here as that board doesn't need any more 'drama' (LOL) I also ranted about being part of a broken system and blah, blah blah but edited that out. Thought I'd put it out there for any who are in the stock.

Anything is possible but I doubt that. I honestly think the 'tender offer' is complete BS. Just more hopeful wishing for those who haven't accepted that their investment will take AT LEAST two years to get some real value equal to a 'settlement' before the 'global understanding' in march 2010. One also needs to mentally be prepared to LOSE THEIR ENTIRE INVESTMENT!!!
Now will it please me to be wrong and hear a real tender offer? Of course I'd like to hear one but if I have any say, they won't get my 'core' shares but they can have my 'extras' that I flip. If it's all or nothing then I CAN WAIT and see. We'll be higher than 3 bucks after the 2nd merger if not the first. So why would I sell BEFORE events taking shape?!? Unless it's a really big offer, then I'd entertain the idea. Besides, I'm hoping for 2-3 bucks just from the lit. part and not my shares growth.
I don't expect any offer to come out until 4/16/12 as I still haven't gotten my DIMEQ new co shares and my H's I also put into new co run off notes or something like that. Until then they won't be able to accurately gauge how many shares of 'retail' need to be delt with.
So for the next few weeks I will 'play' if the MM's play and hopefully flip it enough times to 'freebie' a bigger 'core' I learned A LOT over the past 3 years and this way would have been the best way from the start. However I was so focused on being 'wronged/stolen' (pre-WM shareholder) that I allowed it to blind/bind me until I saw the games being played 3/12/10. Watching my account drop 110,000 in seconds made me the trader I am today, yet there are times I still allow my emotions to dictate/control my choices/trades or lack of.

EDIT: After reading this it really helps me to understand the ability to change and adapt. Especially when you can 'see' things differently be the situation right or wrong. Stubborn can have it's place but 'flexibility' has it's advantages too. I guess it's about 'what you want' and the imprint/impression you leave.

i have margin with all my brokers. just like etrade as they dont stop selling when things get dicey. tda and scotts do cut you off from buying more and zecco forget them. they were adding big time fees on stocks to sell, in the penny range, if they were on the outs with the powers that be.

i have found cheap isnt always the best. schwab, fidelity, etrade are pretty good.....and you usually can buy more when others say no. the nanny state brokers are always out trying to protect you. i dont need no stinkin badges.

I thought e-trade was 3.99/trade? Huh...I've got margin now with my TDA, so I'm reluctant to pull out more than I have to as I try to just use my money and their margin is there so I can buy and sell without waiting 3 days. I know there's a Scottstrade in santa Rosa don't know if there are any others but I'll look into it after taxes are paid and I've seen what's POP'ed and dropped. Thanks VC. Still haven't been in the Santa Cruz/ Montery area to check out that BBQ place but hopefully by this Summer.

zilla i have tda also, they cut me off...
too easily. then i go to etrade as they will sell till the cows come home. tda plays it too safe in my opinon. they will let you sell what they sold you, but, wont let you buy, many a time. then there is zecco which is same same. they are a different trip altogether.

thru thick and thin eturde has done me ok, and now i get trades at 7.99. was 9.99 but, they try to keep up with fidelity or schwab me thinks. i have schwab too

TDA tries to protect their clients when mass amounts of shares have been issued in a given security, bBy not allowing there clients to trade it right after the shares become free trading. After some time has passed they should allow you to purchase the security once again.

Also one thing to note is that sometimes these restrictions are only pertaining towards online orders, which can be worked around by calling tda directly and speaking with a broker.

There’s more to the TAG accounts than meets the eye. TAG: “Transaction Account Guarantee”



Superficial chatter says that you should just ask for your Dinar deposits to be placed in a no-interest bearing account. Then your funds will be insured with no upper limit. The FDIC will not be the insurer but because of the Dodd-Frank bill you will be insured fully through the end of this year – or maybe for the 12 months following the Re-valuation date.



But, Heads up:

Unless the bank has actually set up and is compliant with the TAG account instructions, you may be harmed in several ways.



None of my local banks had heard of the rules for becoming compliant with the Dodd-Frank instructions. I printed out copies of the instructions (13 pages) and handed it to the bank VPs which they cheerfully received, promising that their lawyers would read it and get ready to support TAG accounts.



There is a basis for this strange TAG requirement (or suggestion). It may help if you understand the basis for the Dodd-Frank Bill and the TAG account option.



Your Dinar payouts were and are supposed to be in gold or metals-backed currency. That’s especially true for Dinar holders because the Dinar you hold is backed by gold, oil, and minerals.



It’s fool-hardy to convert the world’s most valuable and stable currency into US dollars that sink in value almost every day. Dollars are announced to be DEVALUED another 40% within 30 to 60 days after the RV.



I mentioned Dinar as being stable. Yes. Monthly violence in all of Iraq is far less than that of single US cities like Washington DC or Los Angeles. TV news channels amplify and selectively choose what we are allowed to see or believe.



So where is the US currency that is metals based? New US Treasury bills are expected to be released to the public perhaps 30 or 60 days after the ReValue. At that time we will have options for converting our old greenback bills into the new Treasury bills. On the samples (far below) note that the Federal Reserve is not mentioned. The new bills will be issued from the US Treasury (we expect). The 99 year agreement between the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve ran out sometime in January 2012 (it is claimed).



IF YOU DEPOSIT YOUR CONVERTED FUNDS INTO A VALID TAG ACCOUNT:

- Your funds will be assumed to be of US Treasury Bill value later, when and if the new Treasury bills are issued. (metals backed just like the Dinar - good)

- You will have full and immediate access to your funds to buy big items or properties – no rationing, no delays on withdrawals. (good)

- You funds will be insured with no upper limit for the next 9 or 12 months in the event of bank failures, closures, holidays.

- You must not gain any interest on the account (Mandatory Requirement) because banks can only pay interest using current debt-based fiat unstable old US currency.

- You cannot take funds from any other source and deposit them into your TAG account. (Maybe DONG payouts are ok – not sure.)



So if you thought you could just deposit Dinar payouts into any old checking account that bears no interest, then you haven’t looked through the compliance standards that the bank has to fulfill in getting ready to give you a TAG account. See the link further below.



The legal rules a bank must follow are quite dense and heavy. Details galore. The bank must even have a small sign of a certain size on the wall in the lobby stating with certain words that they provide TAG account services.



Most of you probably envision cashing in at a bank, then wiring some funds from there to other local banks or credit unions. These secondary receiving banks will have to have legitimate TAG accounts if you want the TAG benefits. Upon receiving the incoming bank wire, the bank will have to ask about your source of funds. Your receipt from your original dinar conversion event will be needed in this situation.



So what happens if you just ignore the TAG option. Maybe you were only going to cash in one 25,000 Dinar note. At the rumored rate of $12.36 that single note will produce a deposit of $309,000 – which is just a little over the $250,000 normal FDIC insurance.



Is that anything to worry about? (What? Me worry?)



WORRY DEFINED:

Later when we all line up at banks to trade in our crumpled greenbacks to get our fresh Metals-based US Treasury notes, we have hints, rumors, and whispers that there will be a 40% to 60% loss of greenback value for everyone around the world that holds greenbacks. US dollars will be devalued – announced and not a theory.



When the new Treasury bills are issued,

You will possibly trade in $100 old bills and receive back $60 in new Treasury bills. (40% devaluation of US dollars) Or,

You will possibly trade in $100 old bills and receive back $40 in new Treasury bills. (60% devaluation of US dollars).



IF your Dinar deposits are NOT PLACED IN A TAG ACCOUNT, your old $1 million greenback dollars will be converted (in the bank) to $600,000 Treasury Bills (for example) at the 40% devaluation rate – when the new bills are released.



IS THIS SCARY EXAMPLE CLEAR? You cashed in top-value DINAR which was already gold-based, and through negligence (in this example) you lost 40% of your value because you didn’t mandate that your bank set up a TAG account to receive it.



We have been kept in the dark about many things, but Congress saw this situation about to arise. For once, in your favor, the Dodd-Frank bill designed a method by which your Dinar (and possibly Dong) deposits would be treated AS ACTUAL METALS-BASED CURRENCY even though the new Treasury bills won’t be issued until a few months after the RV event. These TAG accounts (if you see the sense of using them) give the US Treasury up to a year to get their Treasury bills distributed.



To appreciate the complexity of the RV happening in 195 nations, consider that the dollar devaluation will affect all those nations WHOSE CURRENCIES ARE ALSO BEING reassigned based on the productivity of each nation.



Summary: To avoid unnecessary diminishment of 40% or more of your funds when the world soon converts to the new US Treasury bills, consider printing out a few copies of the Dodd-Frank instructions and hand carrying a copy to your local bankers who may be unaware.



I found it useful to talk with bank administrators, stating that you are a Dinar holder, and that even though the local bank is not expected to convert your dinar, you intend to wire sizeable funds into your local account AND THAT IT NEEDS TO COME IN TO A Transaction Account Guarantee (TAG) ACCOUNT which must conform with the printed instructions at this government link.



Here’s the official government link for the Dodd-Frank PDF document that defines the bank policies required:

The whole document comprises the rules that a bank must do – actions they take. When they do, they can put a sign in the lobby saying that they comply and provide TAG accounts.

If they fail in fulfilling the 13 page rules book, the deposits you thought were TAG deposits would get devalued just like any old greenback account.

I failed to mention that the real purpose is to prevent any greenback dollars from being mixed in with your Dinar dollars. That’s why a normal checking account doesn’t help. You might have a few dollars in your checking account, and then would dump a million in on top of it. (Many people will do this.)

If so, that whole account will get devalued when the treasury bills come out. Even a penny of interest might poison that checking account. And if it’s a valid TAG account, then by definition no interest will creep into it.

With a valid TAG account, nothing but Dinar (and maybe Dong) funds can be held. So, later when Treasury bills come out, your TAG account will hold its value.

You don’t have to read or understand the 13 page document. Bank lawyers will interpret it to the banks.

Summary: The whole thing defines the unique aspects of the TAG account which your bank may or may not faithfully implement. Some may refuse. Better to learn about it now.

Just wanted to give a heads up on two stocks I own that did major DIPS at EOD on friday. FTWR which was listed up until recently and chose to miss debt payment of 1.3 mil yet had 23 mil in cash...Don't know why it dipped but if no BK when we open tuesday, it may be worth watching. I had made money on FTWR flipping it and buying back and was 'out' when the free fall happened 20% in a few min...I've got 8K @ .16 and will add if no BK news. it had been stiltting between .20-.22 for weeks since delisting so something may be up or maybe a chart play...Looks like it hit .12 yet I didn't see it...
The other stock I just bought a small taste to 'watch' @ .88 under 1200 shares it's CPIC and it's dividend has been suspendend but was .25 per quarter which is higher than the stock price now. WOW if they ever fix what's wrong and with only 7 million shares.... It dropped almost 25% to .70 and was over 5 bucks until recently and just under 25 for 52 week high!!! Still doing my DD (LOL) don't know why either fell but last time FTWR fell at the close like that it went to .15 from mid 20's opened that next Monday in .17's and ran for just under 100% for the day.
Both plays are RISKY and possible BK's I really have no idea but thought I'd share for those who like to find CRUSHED stocks like me.

I just look at it and think about what's happening in the world and with the market that day. I only sold today because the DOW was gaining strength yet TVIX was holding over 20 well and I felt it would go below 18 if the markets didn't head down but it has touched barely below 16 on the past two pullbacks in the AH after hours but I usually jumped on before that as it can open 2 bucks up or down. It's an exciting play that is trading with HUGE volume. Almost 38 mil today with only 31.3 million shares according to my TDA. We've had more volume in two weeks than the 6 months before that I'd bet. I don't have triggers as much as I watch how much % it's moved and realize there are a lot of peeps daytrading it. Also do the opposite of Stock Split when they buy get ready to sell when they sell get ready to buy. (LOL) It's sad to see someone on the wrong side of most of those trades. At least they are learning and not going 'all in' in the first purchase. Good luck PAK

I did catch some of the action:) lowest tvix purchase 14.58, I've been looking for a top for the last couple of weeks.. last week noticed that $TRAN started getting weaker comp to the SPY; TVIX started getting stronger comp to SPY.

And E and I have been waiting patiently... lol Monday could be interesting though, we could either get good 'Greek' news in which case better tvix prices for you OR we could gap up again.. we'll see. Really, though even if any positive news comes from Europe, rallies should be faded now,, my feeling is that the mkt is just ready to pullback. IMO
