still trying to figure it out a bit, would have liked it to be simple like google maps just enter your address and your off. perhaps when market closes I can fool around with it more.
you'll like it..you probably might be able to
check out your neighborhood in Singapore...
hopefully, the birds eye button will let you see your
car in your driveway..lol..
:)
stopping by buddy check out the sat. imagery.
hmm..well GoogleEarth still has it's advantages with
measuring tools, you can tilt to show terrain features, etc.
and it will show you some places
pretty good where as Virtual Earth won't..
like Area 51...oh, yeah...I forgot..it doesn't exist..LOL..
I may, in the future, zoom in on some 'historical' places and and take screen shots and start me a scrapbook of sorts over on
my PhotoBucket..like the Alamo for example..
not to mention taking shots of various casinos, other places of interest, etc, i have been too..
and don't forget about your F11 button..
I zoomed in on like my dad's property etc., hit birds eye, then hit the F11 button and that does away with all the tool bar stuff up top of screen and give you a pretty much full screen..
THEN I take a screen shot..save to file..
then I upload that screenshot to Walmart Photo Department and have a 5X7 or 8X10 made and they turn out very good..
my elderly dad got a kick out of seeing his property from different angles and a 'birds' eye view...
(when you hit F11 button again everything, your toolbars and such come back to the way they were..)
I could spend hours with this...fascinating...
you can check out your neighborhood, or town or whatever..
here's a comparison of Hamilton Place in my neck of the woods..TN's largest Mall, 2 story, over 200 stores under one roof..
a GoogleEarth vs Virtual Earth shot..for example..
venice, italy // Boats underway and everything
That's exactly what I was thinking, we heard that government satellites could read news print from space years ago.
Now they can probably tell you what kind of paper it is.
Yes..it puts GoogleEarth to shame..
and they are fairly recent too..unlike years
behind like googleEarth..
just imagine what Big Brother can and/or could see
if they wanted too..
in real time..
wow..
Wow, unbelievably cool.
Pretty cool link Dave, the first thing I did was punch up my own house. I could see my car in the driveway and everything.
Pretty cool link-
Thanks again..kind of nice to view things from
different perspectives..
:)
Thanks..I'll give it a whirl..am eager to learn all
the buttons , controls..
Dave
Even more fun - click on Birds Eye View then hit the Rotate arrows...creates some cool views.
just click on this link and type in an address..
then click on 'birds eye'..wow..have fun!

Microsoft Virtual Earth is a cool tool...
Birds eye feature is rather very current,
rather super clear pictures unlike Google Earth..
Big Brother is watching us..LOL..
I may put screenshots over here of interesting places, etc.
Feel free to chime in..and/or contribute to the board..
:)
