Maverick Energy Group Announces a Profit of $252,481 for Fourth Quarter and of $547,998 in Annual Profits for Fiscal 2007
Fourth Quarter and Year-End Revenues Increase Over 500% From 2006
Maverick Energy Group, LTD (PINKSHEETS: MKGP) is pleased to announce operating results for both the fourth quarter and twelve-month fiscal year 2007, ending December 31st.
Maverick's revenues for the three-month period increased dramatically from $2,460,101 to $9,741,087 for the fourth quarter of 2007 over the same three-month period of 2006, representing an increase of over 500 percent in revenues in the fourth quarter year over year. Maverick's year-end revenues also increased more than 500 percent from $4,568,626 to $24,052,651. The company's fourth quarter revenue growth continued to be on par with the growth it experienced in the third quarter of 2007.
Maverick also reports that for the fourth quarter of 2007, the company's net profit was $252,481 and its net profit for the year was $547,998. This means that the company has reported net profits for two years in a row.
"As our fourth quarter report and annual numbers show, Maverick's revenues continue to climb. This is due largely to the increased activity and production within the Big Foot field in Texas. We are very pleased to announce that the limited liability company that jointly owns the Big Foot leases, Z2 LLC, in which Maverick holds approximately 11.5 percent interest, has finally reached full profitability. As we further build on the drilling program within the Big Foot field, the revenues we derive from the partnership's increasing profits should also grow accordingly. We believe that as the Z2 LLC leases in the Big Foot field continue to mature, the Z2 affiliation should yield strong oil and gas profits for Maverick for years to come. This should help the company to post desirable numbers for the foreseeable future," says Jim McCabe, CEO of Maverick Energy Group, LTD.
"Maverick's success has not only been in the areas of revenues and profits. Over the past year we have increased our available cash holdings by nearly $450,000. At the same time, we have been able to significantly improve our current asset to current debt ratio as well, taking it from approximately .8 to 1 to right at 1 to 1. Because of all of these factors, we believe that Maverick is well positioned to continue expanding all of our drilling programs. As predicted, Maverick turned the corner in 2007 and should continue rapidly advancing on its path to long-term success. We anticipate that as we continue to show increased revenues and strong profits quarter after quarter, it will become much easier to distinguish Maverick from the host of other junior oil and gas companies that may never be profitable for their shareholders. This kind of prolonged success should start attracting an increasing amount of attention from Wall Street. That is exactly what we would like to see for our very dedicated shareholders," continues McCabe.
so to put it in bigger picture, see their growth:

I expect them to make around 1 cent EPS in 08.

DJRT - thanks for the reminder...
looks like good buy here. will have to redo DD since haven't looked at in a while.
The PIPE financing looks OK for those kinds of deals - not bad and like that they clearly lay out what they plan to do with it.
Remember that always wished revenue was higher.
CPYE in hot sector...
quick look only shows balance sheet needs lots of help - company will likely keep using shares to finance. history of convertibles, appear to be lots of warrants. strong revenue growth though. will put on watch - thanks for the tip.
UHDI interesting...
and could be a big momentum play - but lots of dilution posible via this: http://xml.10kwizard.com/filing_raw.php?repo=tenk&ipage=5120226
and S-8 for 7 mil more shares - would put total shares out at around 107 mil - per quick look at it. Could already be out - wonder what transger agent says - any idea? if it's out - and this stock catching on - it's a great play IMO.

Thank you for your input on IAHL. Holding our breath while waiting on Finacial Verification. The CEO is Approachable and Believable. I know....sounds like 'Famous Last Words'. lol. giff- I thought CEUA did a R/S that sent the share price higher but it was not accounted for in the box. Maybe I'm wrong.

been neglecting the board but always looking. need to dd them a little more.
Updated.. does that look right?
OldPro, you need to update the CEUA in the port adn adjust for the reverse split LOL!
CGLD I found this post on yahoo . ......I havent had the time to DD it but it looks interesting.....Lets do a bit of bar napkin scribbling with what we know about CGLD.
In Qtr ended Oct31 they sold 9194 oz/au at an average price of $710 for net sales of $6,526,000. They posted net income of $1,747,000 or $0.01/share.
http://www.capitalgoldcorp.com/press-rel...
In the current Qtr they have sold 7200 oz at average $816 price/oz.
Let us forecast full Qtr production in a range from 10,200oz to 11,400oz and guess at selling price between $816 and $856/oz for the full quarter.
Cost of production probably increased but lets use the last quarter number of $239/oz.
http://www.capitalgoldcorp.com/press-rel...
Net sales for the current quarter should run between $8,323,200 and $9,758,400.
Last quarter net sales $6,526,000 minus $2,197,366(9194 x 239) minus the $2,581,634 ( all the other expenses) gave us the net $1,747,000.
Let us use the projected revenue numbers with the production costs from last quarter. I know that does not really work, but hell, this is the bullish case!
Low sale number $8,323,200 minus $2,437,800 ($10,200 x 239)
minus that $2,581,634 equals net income of $3,303,760 or $0.19/share.
High sale number $9,758,400 minus $2,724,600 ($11,400 x 239) minus that questionable $2,581,634 gives us $4,452,166 which divided by 174,243,626 equals $0.25/share.
$0.19 x 8 = $1.52
$0.25 x 20 = $5.00
Ok, that is the bullish case. A bit unrealistic perhaps.
Who cares to chime in with corrections or best guesses for production cost increases as well as changes in share count, administrative cost, taxes and the like?
teomax..honestly you get everywhere.. no worries I agree!!
anyway revenues and (recently) profits are growing, there was a seller who caused a drop a while back but since then we have seen an ascendding triangle in anticipation of the next earnings statement. wish i had more funds to add to be honest.
havent seen dilution for absolutely ages, which was minimal anyway and seemingly used wisely
small addition on my call, MKGP.PK
from their recent newsletter:
http://www.pinuppose.com/DrillBitsDec07.pdf
"Profit margin increase in 4th quarter allowed booking of percentage of profits for Maverick".
Last quater they had net income of 208,417.
I expect them to have revenues in 08 around 24$ milions and net income around 1.3$ milion - which should be 1 cent EPS.
Current Market Cap is 5.2$ milions
what da heck is effekt?
january-effekt ?
and some 2% insider buying,(maybe to keep the price up??)

Will add to da pick list... and give giff opinion...
AWNE never got off the ground...
and instead dug a hole for itself. Solar stocks have been skyrocketing and wind stocks, not so much. Wind is actually more cost effective, but solar has got the wind behind it - so to say. Maybe wind will take off in 2008 and AWNE with it. sold it for tax loss a few weeks back - may buy back in January.
adding SGUS and OISI to...
greater than .35 list. both worth a look IMO. feedback desired if anyone looks into.

I feel SYTE.OB will run in 2008.....
Historically it has proven easy to predict revenues and profits.
By summer, just using current %'s of COGS and SG&A.. You look closely.. forward EPS is likely to be in the $.025 to $.04 by 2nd Q.. a lock IMO...
Chart red comments assumes trade at $.12/share and forward EPS above
Thus I predict that SYTE will reach the $.20's in 2008.
between now and Jan. 2 have...
to pick a favorite or 2 and will likely buy into pretty big in early 2008. Have a stash of money that need to put to work. Taxes are going to hurt - but have excepted that as the price you pay when you make big profits - and it was a pretty good year.
that said - mulling over a few and plan to dive in deep. lots of work to do. Would appreciate others posting their favorites and why.
