Was not something that I was real interested in. I would imagine the former CFO would be able to tell you or point you in the right direction. The rep at Media 100 was instructed to ask all callers with questions regarding the prior public company to call him directly:
Steve Shea (508) 259-6280
Thanks for that bit of info- Have you by chance found out who has control of the shell?
So what did you find out Siix? Well?
SIIX :) With all due respect, that release is all over the place. And at the top of each one there is no MDEA stock symbol because it is no longer related to the MDEA publicly trading company. And at the bottom of each one, you'll see it identify itself as a division of Boris FX, if you then follow through on the DD you'll find the purchase by Boris FX from Optibase, and then quite naturally the Optibase acquisition of Media 100 assets via chapter 11 bankruptcy action.
Document research will show:
--Jun 2004: Optibase purchased Media 100 assets via a bankruptcy court. These assets became the majority of Optibase's digital non-linear product line operations.
--Sep 2005: Optibase sells certain patent rights of Media 100 to Acoustic Technologies LLC
--Sep 2005: Optibase then sold its digital non-linear product line operations (in essence Media 100) to Artel software Corp (Boris FX). The sale included all services, warranty and maintenance obligations. Under the terms of the agreement Boris FX is obligated to pay royalties from future sales of products and services up to $2 million. Optibase agreed to make its manufacturing facilities available to Boris FX though Dec 2007 (same town location for Media 100 [MDEA] pre-bankruptcy). In addition, Boris FX purchases Media 100 HD boards from Optibase through Sep 2007.
So technically, Artel Software Corp (Boris FX) could attempt to go public if it wanted to, however, I called the Media 100 "unit" and spoke to a very nice sales representative who has been a part of the Media 100 "intellectual property" going back prior to MDEA's chapter 11 petition. He stated:
--Media 100's intellectual property is part of Boris FX
--Boris FX has no currents ties to Optibase as they satisfied all purchase obligations related to the Media 100 purchase
--Boris FX has no plans to go "public"
--Questions regarding MDEA should be addressed to former MDEA CFO Steve Shea (508) 259-6280
There is no evidence to support MDEA as an r/m candidate-- sorry :(
Its appears that media 100 is now a private company operating under Optibase ltd (nasdaq company) and Boris FX, (private company).. thats why i think the press release is on the web site only.
Did you ask about the shell stock and what their plans might be for it?
I have sent one out too.. I have also called several times..
Nice "Press Contact" eh?
Best luck i have had so far was with the president of Opitbase ltd, he told me they acquired all media 100 assets...but could not say for 100% sure the shell was not part of the deal... He gave me an email to the optibase CEO who is currently in Isreal and said he should have info on the MDEA Shell. Still waiting for a reply.
I just sent email to Janice regarding the PRs on the market place. If I get a response, i will update here.
that means its undervalued here, most people dont get their news by going to co. website, they get it elsewhere like yahoo, ihub, wire or other websites.
i still think we are going north!
very undervalued here...imo
Great question.. From what i can tell so far is that optibase had acquired Media 100, now media 100 is operating under them and Boris FX

Doing more digging to get a definitive answer on were the shell (MDEA) fits in with all of this.
nice work SIIX. i have one question: how come the company is not releasing the PR on wire? I see many good news on their website but not on the market. With some updates from the company will create more interest imo. Anyone can help the company on this? ^^
WOW..ever think of going to the media 100 web site?? ..plenty of news:

Not yet, but Its looking like a loss.. :(
did you sell today for loss? if so DANG...
It's getting hit at the close.
Agree to Disagree. My DD is solid and I like MDEA here plenty
What boat? There is no boat..
This was nothing more than a pump.. Unless the pump can stay alive a bit longer you will be stuck..Mark this post..
I lost on this pump, and yes it was my fault for buying...
Then you're right with the rest of us.....just a little more vocal about your concerns. No worries....this baby moves so easily....any news concerning the R/M and we rocket my friend IMO.
I am holding and hoping....
I'm adding here with MDEA and will continue to accumulate. You are missing the Boat here IMO
Julius : Aspin is nice except too many places have health food. Took me a couple hours to find a place in summer that sold a plain hamburger.
they are all chit if you loose money.. this is 5 penny's away from being a great play
I don't pm people with chit.... This convo is over... You live and you learn Momo.. I learned... Trust no one but yourself here... Hard lesson, but I shall move on knowing a little more than I did yesterday.... eom~
you go MOMO~ Amen.
just go away loser LOL
TikiGal, do you think you got conned into buying this stock? We've all been there. From now on I'm buying only dormant shell stocks that are coming To life...BEFORE the Cornell's, NITES, shorting, dilution and all associated stinkiness happens :)
Amen to that. Im down on this play right now but its only my fault.
Amazing how you can come to a board and trash a stock that you are currently holding, and all you can do is bit#h and complain. I am sure that will do wonders for bringing in volume.
I have never done that…nor will I ever.
A couple of weeks ago I bought 50 mil shares of cbay cause I noticed the volume on it, but quickly wrote it up as a bad move when my trade didn’t even budge the ask…I thought it was gonna be a tax write off but quickly turned into a 5 bagger.
No one knows what will happen day to day around here with all the manipulation…by the company, traders, market makers, promos, news, rumors etc. There is no way to know what is going to happen from day to day.
I get like 100 pm’s a day with traders telling me about a play…some go and some don’t, but I don’t go back to the trader or stock board and talk chit. I am responsible for my trade, and I could care a less what is happening with the stock...if I like the chart I will be a buyer and accept responsibility for my trade.
I am still holding over 300k shares of mdea at higher prices and I can’t sell cause I don’t want to flat out crush the bid. Instead I wait patiently for the play to develop and make a move higher, I don’t sit on the board and trash the stock.
We can’t win them all, but no one had a complaint when I alerted players with ENZH, RNVO, SLVO, SMXT and SCYA that all ran well over 10 bags, just to name a few this summer…
I had traders pm and thank me for the plays and inform me that they have quit their job and now daytrade fulltime...thanks to the great plays we have brought to the board.
We can’t win em all but we try our best…
heiny heiny ha. Heineken
Swift justice. I hope thats not in your bedroom....
heiny heiny ho?
Here is your present.. Stick your head under the blade, so I can show you how it works...... LOL
You have any Marani vodka?
I was late to the party here waiting to see what was going on. I got in at .02 probably a good thing from what I'm hearing here
Anybody want a drink???? I'm having a case of Smirnoff and a small 7-UP........
I don't have all the answers Tiki..wish i did. All i can say is look at some others plays like this.... TLTK- lots of bag holders in that from the original run..cough cough. Anyhow.. low and behold a few weeks later..and theres now a confirmed merger and its on the way back up. Im not saying that will be the case here, but im not giving up just yet..
Well my first buy on this was .035 so I thought it was going higher, even though the chart said consolidation was needed/likely. So I averaged down, I feel it will run again soon.....
I live in Aspen and was going to sell my car and buy a motorcycle to buy a stock - good thing i didn't. the stock tanked and winter is near!
Are you a relentless pumper who stretches the truth to earn a penny? If you answered yes to these questions well welcome to my list and yeah you will get a present, but I highly doubt you will like it....
