Macys and PLCE. Merger???? Cheers. Never know.
DIDNT see the horses at new years parade
this is how the experts move the market @ Big ""M""
Macy's. Now there was a play that I missed from sub 10.
Retail got bid up very well this year.
mb
Getting a bit overbought
15.20 200 ma should be top
Gap to fill 13.50 to 12.50
Great couple days for all 3 above stocks!
Yeah I recently bought Kohls under $20 and sold for around 3 bucks trade. Kohls I watch with Macys and Nordstroms in the sector. Still think all 3 companies will survive.
Unfortunately Macy is now an overpriced flemarket. Whatever’s left of these dysfunctional department stores I think Kohls has done a decent job especially knowing how to target their customers.
Good luck with that anything is possible especially if the consumer comes back. Unfortunately holiday sales outlook is not strong.
Unfortunately Macy is on the road to bankruptcy. I shorted JC Penney around 2013 and stayed short - business model was not sustainable considering at the time the exponential growth of the online marketplaces during. And the results are in.
Thanks for asking. I have a few long term shares but have been also trading M and other retailers that appear to have support recently like JWN and KSS. I know the retail space well enough since I spent many years running my own retail business....and trade it often. But I wouldn't invest more than I already own.
$20? You still holding the BS? Going bankrupt after xmas.
And really nice patio furniture.
(Which I know first hand)
Its all about making $$$ .....!
I hold it long term looking for $20 or so.
Retail sucks....but M will be around
Was able to short more at good prices.
big ''M'' is suffering the interest rate woes
How's that working out for you today?? LOL!
Macy's owns ALOT of real estate as well. NOT the best retailer placing your bankruptcy bet on! Many of their owned buildings are in downtown cities.
But good luck!
Well its a good thing that Macy's uses QMCI.
Quotemedia has several big board companies as clients for market data and IR.
https://www.macysinc.com/investors/stock-data/quote
Folks can scroll down to the bottom of the page and clearly see the QMCI copyright.
quotemedia is probably saving Macy's a lot of money, so they can afford to provide The US with quality products and the annual parade that many Americans enjoy.
IMO and FWIW.
Macy's is now paying for that expensive balloon parade,----------------- some figurines had 100 persons holding it down, and times 25 is a lot of caSH OUT THE WINDOW
Out M this morn pre-market nice little trade but retail stocks I do not like right now. Also sold the KSS did not have GPS.
Have a nice day!
22,000,000 MACY shares trades--good thing too --up over 10 %
Macy Parade close to THNXGIVING AND BLACK FRIDAY
big ''M'' does like the sideways movement at 17 still a teenager
Lots of fluff on the Bling boards...Big M went up 2 %
no Kohls but like GME
M up over 6% today. Go M...and Go Ernie!
P.S. Hope you had/have some KSS
This chart looks identical to BBY . Interesting to see if they both tank further on er's this week
everybody that can read did the right thing
MACY will recover after interest rate hike
from to ---re; big M
22.00 down to 15.50---my new target
from to ---re; big M
22.00 down to 15.50---my new target
XMAS is over time to heal all investing wounds----- no staples please
Macy on a roll now---shoot the messengers...not me
BIG M dropped a bit so the nervous nellies took it down 2 bucks
have seen insiders load up to the point where a 12 for 16 rollback makes it seem like nothing happened
Ernie - you are talking about the Polaris Strategy
It's detailed in this release. I listed the bullet points from the article, but the actual article is worth a FULL read, hence the link.
It's a good thing, not a bad thing. (IMHO)
Also - Macy's home page is packed full of information on their stores under their investors tab.

'Macy's Stores closing in 2021: 45
Another beloved department store is attempting to salvage what earnings it can during the digital shopping era, which has felled dozens of once-dominant chains.
In January of last year, Macy’s announced it would slash a fifth of its stores and 2,000 employees over three years to improve productivity.
Chairman and CEO Jeff Gennette added in a second-quarter earnings call that he wants to experiment with smaller stores outside of big malls.
Twenty-nine of the 125 expected closures took place in 2020, according to CBS News. And CNBC recently divulged that Macy’s notified employees at around 45 of its stores that they will close by mid-2021
nice absolutely delighted here trading at $28.
Just like I said before Christmas gift.
M is going to give us another Christmas gift.
Nicely done
Yup. Exactly as I predicted the run-up. $23.19 at the moment.
My Macy's baby is back.
