I'm right there with you - It's been a terrible 3 years in a row for me in the market.
Lets go Brandon!!
I'm feeling like it. I definitely know how to pick em.
This is not good news!
Lucid being removed from the NASDAQ!
Is this the beginning of the end??
I hope you're right about the RS, it's a concern for sure for me.
As for the product, I tend to agree with you that the product is second to none, but I do think they are moving slowly - maybe too slowly - in bringing new product to market. They have the Air and have made ... I don't even know, how many variants of it so far? It's done to death at this point. It's phenomenal in several ways, but is simply not a product for the mass market. Instead of spending resources and time on that, they really should be pushing to get Gravity to market as soon as possible and then the Model after that which was / is supposed to be positioned as a mass market volume model. With all the competition coming online, they need to move with urgency in order to become established in the market, known, and create revenue.
I'm excited for Gravity and I think it has real potential to do well for them - Look at the R1S and what that's done for Rivian - the need is there for 6+ passenger seating, storage, head, leg, hip room and utility - all packaged up in a sleek, modern design. The R1S is a very tempting package even with the high price tag.
Don't see a RS coming. Most likely the Saudi's make some plays to put a huge dent into Elon's dominance of the market. The Lucid is already being routed as more reliable, so that is a good start. A lot of companies get an imperfect product to market, make their money, and deal with the known issues as customers complain. Not an ethical way to do business, but it is profitable. I see Lucid operating under a business model that we haven't seen in a while, as they strive to perfect the product before releasing it to customers.
My thoughts too. Long term I see this being a great play, but I'm in at too high a SP now and need to average down in case I need to get out before an RS could happen.
Buy the dips is a good plan on this one.
If this hits .50 I'm going to take a very serious, hard look, at just how much I should leverage myself to get as many as I can. By 2030 I'll be literally retired if it plays out the way I hope.
Lucid Group, Inc. $LCID Total Debt (mrq) $2.41B. $.50 coming

Or has a CEO that is more focused on a social media shit platform than anything else.
That's an interesting perspective to bring into the mix - and I hope that it results in a company culture which has an emphasis on quality and value. I agree with you regarding Islam and frankly would prefer they not be partnered with such, but the reality is that without the PIF there would not be a viable company and with the transition from an oil-based economy to more of a diversified economy, it's better for us to be trading partners in the big picture.
Tesla is going to go the way of the Dodo because of Musk's inability to keep his mouth shut. He had rock star status because he happened to have a vision for products that liberals wanted, and he had the work ethic of a capitalist to make that vision come to life. But that's the problem, he's not a liberal, he's a visionary and does not share politics with that crowd even though he seems so intelligent it doesn't seem he's figured any of this out yet. In the meantime Tesla is becoming more and more irrelevant because of him.
That doesn't translate into dollars for Lucid though - they are targeting the high end market while Tesla is slashing prices and going for volume production, not to mention the competition that is moving into the market such as BYD, KIA, and numerous others. Lucid needs to accelerate the growth plan, and bring in the Model Y competitor ASAP, the Gravity is a beautiful car for sure - but technology or no, the market is hungry for the $30k 6 person SUV and if there was a viable option besides the Model Y they wouldn't be able to make them fast enough.
Just jumping in on this conversation.... not to haggle with anyone.. good to see you KMC-1!!
I don't necessarily agree with the Muslin faith on so many levels including the treatment of women, but I can admit they are exceptional with their talent and their taste for perfection. I'm reminded of the old Lexus Slogan of "pursuit of perfection" and today Lexus isn't really that mind set unfortunately - they've made it and they have their reputation to hang their coat on!! However if the Saudi's with very deep pockets and a taste for perfection will carry this car company to next level. I've entertained these sheiks(?) with their expensive taste in homes, cars and watches over the last 7 years on YouTube and these guys are next level yet not reckless, if that makes sense??... Just have to look at Dubai.... That city was built by Arabs... and is absolutely an engineering marvel!! And here Elon Musk is bent on living on Mars.... He hands down built Tesla but he is running it off a cliff.. the interior in the cars is generic and reminds me of a mindless culture of the future cars on SciFi movies. He's lost touch!
But back to the Arab world... these guys have a passion for the best... and the team at Lucid is incredible!! Richard Rawlings and down!!! They have built the best car in the world!! Lucid Sapphire! Yes it costs 250k (high? nah... when you consider who is entering the EV game - literally everyone!! including which is genius for the asking price because any drops will curry favor for the next group to stretch their pocket books a bit to acquire!! And currently at 250K it appeals to the Ferrari, Bugatti, Porsche, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, Hennesey, and not least but last is Koenigsegg motors crowd who can spend an easy 7 figures for cars.... So technology vs. usability makes this an absolute gem! Why not capitulate on the higher price early models to make it more desired!!
Just watched a video by Savagegeese on the Lucid Air Sapphire which goes through the heritage of this concept/idea of the vehicle.... and these guys (Arabs) have been in it since the beginning!!
They will need to make a useable model maybe SUV to appeal to the general public but they have the technology to make it happen now... hands down the best auto manufacturer in the world right now in my opinion and can't wait to see what happens now!! Reputable car review spokesman said in a recent video that the technology is the best out there even trumping Mercedes.... Mercedes holds more patents than any other car manufacturer!! That is saying something IMO...
here is a link to the video I'm watching today....
I'm hopeful that will be a step in the right direction. The Saudi's have the money - hopefully they will buy skilled labor and recognize the quality of the product MUST BE world class. If they come into it with some caveman mindset and crappy work ethic they will drag the entire brand reputation into the gutter. I am concerned about that to be honest. It's a lot for Lucid management to take on in the middle of inventing new models, building multiple factories, establishing all the supply chains needed to efficiently ship product to global locations and then meet all the quality standards using a workforce without a history of manufacturing.
If they do it right though, I agree with you that it will open up huge potential revenue - Muslims buying from Muslims is a HUGE selling point because that is a cornerstone of the religion. That said the Saudi's are not exactly the most popular sect of the religion and they may get the cold shoulder so I am curious to see how it all works out. In truth, I really wish Lucid would have just kept to the path they were on and built out the Casa Grande plants until they had several models and real revenue, but then they probably wouldn't have been able to secure the funding.
I’m hoping they can start getting other companies to use their technology. The range they can get is pretty amazing. If I was to ever get an electric car, I don’t need the fastest one. I’d be looking at range. I don’t know why they have to build the fastest. That just makes it more expensive. If people can’t afford it, they won’t buy it.
I think we won't see any significant difference until the Saudi plant starts rolling out cars all over the middle east. Then we will see record revenue numbers.
Yeah the competition is growing for sure, but Lucid has solid financial backing, a fantastic product and a solid business plan. So much of the negative comments about Lucid are coming from people who just can't afford the Air (and probably Gravity too) and just like to get on the Internet and whine/bash anything or anyone who they don't agree with. People who are actually in the market for an upscale vehicle see the value. That said, Lucid's next model should be introduced fairly soon and that is supposed to be the Model Y competitor which should put Lucid onto the map as a volume manufacturer. Here's hoping the succession plan for Peter R. is solidly in place because to execute this plan over the next 10 years they will need someone who understands the vision Peter has and really understands the value proposition in the differentiation they have created.
It's going to be tough for Lucid in this market now that Cadillac just announced a lower model Lyriq to go with it's other model Celestiq. Volvo also has it's Polestar 3 coming out. I'm not as optimistic, but I am hopeful that this will finally make Lucid a profitable venture.
Really looks awesome, I'm excited for more details. I'm curious about the actual starting price, and expected deliveries. This could very well take over a huge chunk of market from Model X and Model Y if they execute it well, Well done Lucid. 🍺
Picked a few up for averaging down…. Let’s see how loooooooow can we go!
Buy order is in at $0.20. Sell the dead cat bounce to $1.00, then out before bankruptcy.
2 entire years of a falling knife - ouch
That's not very nice. 🤣
I'm at a point that I hope Rawlinson gets kicked to the curb. This POS makes a fortune while the shareholders here get screwed.
Now we’re talking! If we hit 2s I won’t fall out of my chair.
Just heard, trade agreements are being signed between Saudi and other rich Middle East countries, one agreemnet being pushed is for those countries to buy Lucid vehicles being produced in Saudi!!!!
I would never short at these leves, also I would never sell. Lucid EVs are selling in the Middle East rich gulf countries , Lucid doesn't have to just depend on US EV sales unlike Tesal/Rivian/Ford/GM. That is a big plus. I suspect Gulf sales will be nore than US sales.
Why I think this company will eventually put Tesla to dust. Especially when you have a CEO more concerned about his now failing dead social media platform.
Come on $3s!!!
I have my add target and feel confident it will happen once it breaks below $4.... NO it is not $4
If your shares are in a margin account put them up for sale at $100.00+. If your shares are for sale they can't be shorted by the house.
With those earning numbers and deliveries we may hit $3 before end of the year. Gravity will be amazing but won’t deliver for another year and won’t sell in big numbers anyway due to the price. This has quite a bit of room to fall before it gets better.
The window for averaging down is closing. Maybe sometime in Spring it will dip again, but with Gravity about to be introduced and pre-orders starting this is about to pop. I was hoping for 3s, but I may need to swallow my pride and grab some here while I can.

Has anyone heard lately what the upcoming new technology will be to keep these batteries from catching fire in these EVs? Just was curious. I'll be investing in LUCID in the next couple of days.
Look at the trend line - tells a story.
