Henry Sanderson China’s Ganfeng Lithium has signed a supply agreement with Korea’s LG Chem to supply 47,600 tonnes of the battery material.
Shenzhen-listed Ganfeng, one of China’s largest lithium producers, will provide lithium hydroxide from January 2019 until the end of 2022, it said in a statement.
The deal is the latest sign of battery makers securing raw materials to meet rising demand for electric cars.
