LVCP: GiraSolar Secures Contract Estimated at $65m and Approves Forward Stock Split

DEVENTER, NETHERLANDS--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 16, 2006 -- GiraSolar BV (Other OTC:LVCP.PK - News) today announced that it has secured a four-year supply contract for critical components allowing the company to sell an additional $16.5 million of GiraSolar branded modules based on current pricing in each of the next four years.

Wieland Koornstra, Chief Executive Officer, said, "Despite the worldwide silicon supply crisis we are continuously increasing the flow of material through our company. We expect that this additional contract will enable our company to market almost 4MWp per year of additional GiraSolar brand module. The contract is for 15.45 MWp over the next four years. This volume contract is not only putting a firm foundation under our company activities for the next several years, but also covers the critical period for which the silicon supply crisis is expected to last. Further ongoing and successfully progressing negotiations with strategic industry partners will likely add even more volume, strengthening our base of operations and increasing opportunities for strong growth, with a focus on developing our position in the USA."

This contract with a major European cell manufacturer represents an anticipated total revenue value of approximately $65 million for the company over the contract period which extends from Q4 2006 into Q4 2010 and should enable the group to market almost 4MWp per year extra of its own GiraSolar brand of modules. The total revenue of $65M represents yearly revenue of approximately 16.5M$ per year for a period of 4 consecutive years starting in October 2006.

"Demand has been larger than we can supply for quite a while. We hope to reduce this unfulfilled volume in absolute terms, though demand is increasing faster than supply. Many new contract proposals received from clients cover multi MWp material requests until December 2007 or even December 2008. Coal, abundant and cheap, makes up 56 percent of electric power generation in the United States, which has 250 years of coal reserves. With the help of generous tax incentives, the government is pushing for the use of more clean coal.

The major clean coal technology is gasification, specifically the Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) plant, which converts coal into a syngas that produces hydrogen and steam while sequestering the CO2. The prototype plant, FutureGen, combines turbines and solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) to produce electric power. Large power plant developers such as GE and Bechtel are the primary developers. However, there are a number of technologies that will make up next generation gasification plants. FuelCell Energy (NasdaqNM:FCEL - News) has just been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy for an award of an $85 million project over 10 years, subject to final negotiation of a contract, to produce 100-MW solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system for use in a gasification plant. The project aims to convert coal into grid electrical power while capturing 90 percent of carbon dioxide emissions and achieving a 50% overall efficiency, up from 35% today.

Steve Eschbach, director of investor relations of FuelCell Energy expects commercial prototypes could be introduced in about seven years, following a similar commercialization timeline as its Direct FuelCell® power plant, which was in the market within 10 years of its development program with the DOE.

LVCP: Legend Investment Secures 6 Million Dollar Contract and Company to Change Name to GiraSolar Inc.

DEVENTER, THE NETHERLANDS--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 10, 2006 -- GiraSolar BV (Other OTC:LVCP.PK - News) today announced that it secured a supply contract for delivery of solar modules and balance of system in Spain. The estimated gross revenue from this contract is approximately 5,000,000 Euros or approximately $ 6,000,000 USD.

The signed order, for which significant pre-payments have been received and shipping of first deliveries has commenced, is not only important in terms of revenue, but is also strategically important to the Company. In addition to the sale of the solar modules, the contract includes balance of system components, further strengthening GiraSolar's position in the Spanish market in general and the BOS market specifically.

Due to this additional multi-million dollar contract and the recently announced ingots contract, the Company is revising its revenue projections for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2006. Revenues for fiscal 05/06 are now projected to exceed $22 million.
