Laguna Blends Inc. - Health Canada Grants PRO369 Approval for 3 Additional Flavours

KELOWNA, BC / ACCESSWIRE / September 29, 2015 / Laguna Blends Inc. (the "Company" or "Laguna") (CNSX: LAG) is pleased to announce that it has received approval from Health Canada for three additional powdered flavours: PRO369 Chocolate Banana, Mixed Berry and Vanilla Caramel. On Sept. 22nd, 2015 Laguna announced that it had received approval for Pro369 Tropical Powder.

The Minister of Health has granted Laguna a product license along with a Natural Product Number ("NPN") for all four of the Pro369 Flavours. They are all listed under the same NPN.

Laguna intends to market the listed four powdered flavours of its unique hemp proteins through its planned affiliate network.

About the Health Canada approval: In order to obtain authorization to legally sell a natural health product in Canada, a product license application must be submitted to Health Canada. To obtain a license to sell a natural health product, applicants must give detailed information about the product to Health Canada, including: medicinal ingredients, source material, dosages, potency, non-medicinal ingredients and recommended use(s). The safety and efficacy of natural health products and their health claims must be supported by in-depth, scientific evidence so that consumers and Health Canada know the products are indeed safe and effective and to ensure benefits outweigh risks. Evidence may include clinical trial data or references to published studies, journals, pharmacopoeias and traditional resources. The type and amount of supporting evidence required depends on the proposed health claim of the product and its overall risks.

Once Health Canada has assessed a product and deemed it to be safe, effective and of high quality, they will then issue a product license along with an eight-digit NPN.

Pro369 - is a variety of unique 30g single serving ("on the go") hemp protein powder drink mixes which are available in various flavours. The hemp proteins are water soluble and can be directly mixed in water or added to almond, coconut or regular milk. In addition, the hemp protein can also be blended into a shake or smoothie. Laguna Blends Inc. Commences Manufacturing For Its Caffe Protein Coffee

An initial purchase order has been placed with Laguna's manufacturing partner PNP Pharmaceuticals, ("PNP") to deliver 16,667 boxes of Caffe to Laguna within the next 8-10 weeks. Each box contains 30 units of protein coffee. Laguna has provided a 50% deposit towards the initial purchase order.

Laguna spent over one year of research and development to invent a completely unique product. Laguna has achieved its goal of creating a delicious tasting, functional beverage that is served hot as an instant coffee. Chris Parry on Laguna Blends

Also in the omega trenches is new boy, Laguna Blends (CSE:LAG,Forum), which opened on the markets Wednesday and jumped 23.3% to $0.37. Those gains disappeared on slim trading Thursday but the MLM-distributed, celebrity-endorsed hemp protein coffee with a 30g shot and no hurtful aftertaste is one that I think has long term potential.
 
The coffee is good, and people on high protein diets will REALLY enjoy getting 30g of protein from their coffee, rather than having to down a protein shake. Every promoter in town has been trying to get in on this deal, and for good reason. I think it’s going to be a monster.

In fact, “Laguna: Monster” that’s what I wrote down on my ‘ongoing stories’ notepad today.

Canada's Laguna Blends (CSE:C.LAG, Forum) debuts on the public markets today, having RTOed into what was formerly Grenadier Resources (CSE:C.GAD, Forum) alongside an announcement that its primary product SKU has been approved by Health Canada as a Natural Health Product.

Stuart Gray, after giving effect to the share exchange transaction (RTO) involving Laguna Blends Inc. (formerly Grenadier Resource Corp.), has directly acquired 5.4 million common shares of the company and 3.95 million common share purchase warrants of the company. Each warrant entitles the offeror to purchase one additional share at a price of 27 cents until Dec. 31, 2019. The acquired securities represent 12.13 per cent of the company's issued and outstanding shares after the RTO on an undiluted basis, and 19.29 per cent on a diluted basis.

The acquired securities were acquired for investment purposes. The offeror may from time to time acquire additional securities of the company, dispose of some or all of the securities of the company or maintain his current securities position in the company.

The acquired securities were issued to the offeror on the basis of one share and one warrant for each common share and share purchase warrant of Laguna Blends (USA) Inc. (formerly Laguna Blends) (Laguna USA) formerly held by the offeror pursuant to the terms of the share exchange agreement between the company, Laguna USA and Laguna USA's shareholders. The acquired securities were acquired pursuant to applicable prospectus exemptions set out in National Instrument 45-106.

Laguna Blends is a hemp-based nutritional product, and network marketing company that will utilize their well established distribution base throughout North America.

The Minister of Health has granted Laguna a product license along with a Natural Product Number for its PRO369 Tropical Powder. This is one of the first hemp flavoured products approved for sale in Canada.

About the Health Canada approval: In order to obtain authorization to legally sell a natural health product in Canada, a product license application must be submitted to Health Canada. To obtain a license to sell a natural health product, applicants must give detailed information about the product to Health Canada, including: medicinal ingredients, source material, dosages, potency, non-medicinal ingredients and recommended use(s). The safety and efficacy of natural health products and their health claims must be supported by in-depth, scientific evidence so that consumers and Health Canada know the products are indeed safe and effective and to ensure benefits outweigh risks. Evidence may include clinical trial data or references to published studies, journals, pharmacopoeias and traditional resources.
