7 Juices To Remove Uric Acid From Body And Relieve Gout Pain
Thanks for the report. There are probably dozens of ways to cure cancer with organic vegetable juices. If only people knew of the alternatives available to them. Recently I learned that many vegetables contain cannabinoids, not just cannabis. Thy all work best when consumed in their raw form and juicing is the best way to take them in concentrated form.

What Do Those Codes On Stickers Of Fruits And Some Veggies Mean?
Frank Lipman
http://www.drfranklipman.com/what-do-those-codes-on-stickers-of-fruits-and-some-veggies-mean/
Although they seem like a nuisance, the stickers or labels attached to fruit and some vegetables have more of a function than helping scan the price at the checkout stand. The PLU code, or price lookup number printed on the sticker, also tells you how the fruit was grown. By reading the PLU code, you can tell if the fruit was genetically modified, organically grown or produced with chemical fertilizers, fungicides, or herbicides.
Here are the basics of what you should know:
If there are only four numbers in the PLU, this means that the produce was grown conventionally or “traditionally” with the use of pesticides. The last four letters of the PLU code are simply what kind of vegetable or fruit. An example is that all bananas are labeled with the code of 4011.
If there are five numbers in the PLU code, and the number starts with “8”, this tells you that the item is a genetically modified fruit or vegetable. Genetically modified fruits and vegetables trump being organic. So, it is impossible to eat organic produce that are grown from genetically modified seeds. A genetically engineered (GE or GMO) banana would be: 84011
If there are five numbers in the PLU code, and the number starts with “9”, this tells you that the produce was grown organically and is not genetically modified. An organic banana would be: 94011
Incidentally, the adhesive used to attach the stickers is considered food-grade, but the stickers themselves aren’t edible.
And here is the full list from the Environmental Working Groups of fruits and vegetables with the least to most pesticides. When shopping, the most important produce to buy organic are those at the bottom of this list http://www.foodnews.org/fulllist.php .
I'm trying sumisu. I love to eat cauliflower leaves but I've never juiced them.
Great combination, Moxa. I use about the same.
I grow cauliflower leaves, very sweet tasting, and used them in my Omega juicer.
Stay healthy!
My daily breakfast consists of a combination of fresh carrot juice, beet juice, cucumber and/or celery juice, and a leafy green such as kale or swiss chard juice. The juicer I use is a Tribest Green Star Elite 5000.
8 Reasons Why Every Day You Need To Drink Carrot Juice

Totally agree!
My best tasting juice drink contains 2 large cauliflower leaves including stems, one apple and three carrots.
Ironically my cauliflower in my garden is very slowly growing this year and my neighbor took some cauliflower leaves and made us a juice drink. He also included ginger.
Cauliflower is the sweetest green taste in these combinations.
Sorry for this late response.

4 Funny Reasons People Hate Juicing
http://foodmatters.tv/articles-1/4-funny-reasons-people-hate-juicing
You can cure almost any disease, including cancer, with fresh vegetable and fruit juices. You can even juice fresh marijuana that contains many anti cancer compounds. Many grasses such as wheat and barley grass are effective as well. Ingesting cannabis in this way will not get you high but will attack diseased cells and normalize many bodily functions. Juice fasting has had an enormous impact on the progression of disease and more importantly on the regeneration of our health.

CARROT LEMONADE RECIPE
August 24, 2011
http://www.marcussamuelsson.com/recipe/carrot-lemonade-recipe
Thanks moxa. Here's a good article where the person took the temperature of the produce before and after juicing and compared the results from a few different types of juicers
http://www.discountjuicers.com/juicequality.html
The 3" chute is going to make a huge difference to me and as a result, my family will have more juice, more often.
from the tests, it appears the heat issue is insignificant. the oxidation issue I hope will be offset by the fact that the centrifigul juicer will get the juice done quicker and can be drank sooner after juicing, reducing the time it's just sitting..
who knows.. at least I'll be getting a lot more juice.
appreciate the thought, my friend
jawmoke,
You might want to look into the Champion juicer. I have one that I've used for the last 35 years and it's as good as new. It's a masticating type but yields more than the Omega. It's easy to clean too. What's important is that the juicer not form alot of heat in the process of extraction. Heat destroys enzymes and forms free radicals so the less friction that is created in the juicing process the better, the juice will be more nutritious.
John, we've owned the omega 8005 for a few years now. It's well made, not difficult to clean, and is still going strong. We decided on that one because from what I could read, the masticating type yielded the highest quality juice. And it could also handle wheat grass.
However, we don't use it as often as we should and I think that is mainly due to the pain in the rear it is to push leafy greens down the small diameter chute. And wheat grass... bought some seed, grew a seed starter tray full of it, juiced the whole thing and got about a shot glass of juice.
Recently my daughter was given a less expensive braun centrifigul juicer with a much larger diameter chute that I got to try. It was so much easier to feed produce down the wider chute and the yield did not seem any less than with the one we use.
I like eddie's recommendation on the Breville and we've been looking at them for a few days now. Some thoughts on the quality of juice. The nutrients begin to lose their value immediately after juicing and they say to drink it within about 15 mins of juicing. Well, it will take that long or longer to juice with the omega so the Breville will get the juice where it belongs quicker. I'm hoping that would somewhat offset the difference in quality. Besides, if it's a pain to use, you're not going to juice as often. Also, I like the Breville brand. We've got a toaster oven made by Breville (getting away from the microwave to reheat food) and it has been an excellent performer. We use the heck out of it. Produces much less heat than the oven and you don't have to radiate your food.
The omega does other things that the centrifical can't do, like making nut butter. We've never even tried that feature actually. For us and our preferences, we will be buying the wider chute breville brand juicer.
you can read the reviews on amazon
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_6?url=search-alias%3Dgarden&field-keywords=juicer&sprefix=juicer%2Caps%2C272#/ref=sr_st?bbn=1055398&keywords=juicer&qid=1346663423&rh=n%3A1055398%2Ck%3Ajuicer%2Cp_4%3ABreville&sort=reviewrank_authority
The elite is $300.. ouch.. this one is half the price but no doubt not as good quality. the reviews were not bad though. Think I'll take a chance on saving $150, hope I don't regret it.

Anyone on the board ever own one?
btw, going raw got my wife off of 5 medications and returned her blood/sugar and blood pressure levels to normal. We got serious about eating raw when the doctor told her she was still getting worse and he'd have to increase the doses of her toxic medications. screw those jerks

Yea, I felt tired this afternoon after a morning in the garden. I juiced two grapefruit and that woke me up. Washed the juicing parts immediately too.

No doubt there will be plenty of juicing adventures over here in the near future.
That will be a really useful story john. Please keep updating how things go. I figure starting is the hardest part.

Nice board Eddie! Kind of quiet over here. My wife and I have been looking into juicers for almost two weeks now. As of yesterday, we have purchased a book titled Becoming Raw, which is a reference book which also includes nutritional information, which most the rest we looked at don't have. We'll have to see what the recommended juicers you mentioned have to offer. We mostly want to juice/pulp the sprouts, with Kale, and some fruit so we can make sure we achieve the recommended amounts of leafy vegetable servings a day. It seems too many servings to think in terms of salads and eating fruit. Like you said earlier, we want to supplement, not replace, so a nice glass of juiced produce to go with dinner might work well. We were going to start off using one of our blenders, (we have two Osterizers) and see what is not working, to decide what we need to look into for what we want.
Kale...super healthy!~
Hello board, I see a lot of good folks here that I know from other places.
I am not real big on fruits but if I can find a vegetable juice I like I will report it.

Guide to Juicers
I added this link to an informative post on another board. The Norwalk juicer is recommended for Cancer therapy: it is two stage as it uses a hydraulic press for the pulp. Consumption of juice must be within 20 minutes as the enzymes die over time.
The Gerson Guide to Juicers
http://gerson.org/GersonTherapy/juicers.htm
Cancer cure by fresh vegetables and fruit. You lucky farmers out there. But us common folk can do this at home with just a juice machine and organic vegetables. If you know anyone with a compromised immune system suffering from Cancer, Type 2 diabetes, obesity, MS, high cholesterol, depression and a score of other infirmaries you should pass this information on.
I was attracted to this therapy because of my interest in practicing meditation to accesses my higher self. To do so I had to decalcify my pineal gland (the third eye) of fluoride and heavy metal neurotoxins. I am 67 years old and a "light smoker" ( I am not ready to give up that card yet ) and after nine months I do not have knee problems to climb 6 flights of stairs and do not have morning stiffness getting out of bed. In other words my health improved tremendously but my meditation has not improved a lick. Maybe I should start going to Church.

My ultimate goal in juicing was to improve my immune system. For a sickly person, it has achieved that end. Yes, I still occasionally get sick, but these occurrences are fewer and shorter in duration. In addition, I find that fresh juice provides me more energy.
I've been juicing for 19 years. It is an integral part of my lifestyle. Juice preparation requires the washing and cutting of fruits and vegetables. The scraps that do not make it into the juicer will end up in my compost pile. Eventually the compost returns to the earth to aid the growing of more vegetables for juicing, e.g., tomatoes, cucumbers and parsley.
Make no mistake, juicing requires a commitment, it is work, but the health benefits can be immeasurable. To aid you in assessing juicing, it is recommended that you read the following post titled "Juiciing: Your Key to Radiant Health, #msg-32950814.
Below is a booklist that has aided me in learning and making a firm commitment to juciing. From time to time, I get lazy and do not feel like juicing and then I refer to the books and the juice machines will be used.
By the way, I currently have three juicers. Also, I have given away 5 juicers for presents.
This board is intended for learning and discussing experiences with juicing.
Good luck,
sumisu
