The NEPA process culminates in the BLM’s Record of Decision (ROD), which represents the Department of Interior’s final decision on Ioneer’s application for an approved Plan of Operations. An approved Plan will allow the Company to commence construction of the Rhyolite Ridge Project. The Company’s current best estimate is that a ROD would be received in 1Q 2024.
To optimize the revised Plan and allow for mining to commence at the southern limits of the deposit, Ioneer will undertake further drilling activity at the southern extension of the ore body as soon as a positive ROD is received. The Company intends to complete the drilling, optimize the mine plan and update capital and operating cost estimates before making a Final Investment Decision (FID). This work is underway, with the exception of the drilling program. The 24-month construction estimate remains unchanged, with first production expected in 2026.

ioneer (ASX: INR) managing director Bernard Rowe joins Small Caps to discuss the company’s development plans for its Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron project in Nevada.
Rhyolite Ridge is the only known lithium-boron project in the US and the region’s most advanced lithium asset.
The company is awaiting final approvals to begin construction and, finally, production where Rhyolite Ridge will generate around 22,000tpa of lithium hydroxide and 174,400tpa of boric acid to meet mounting demand.

The results from @BloombergNEF's 2022 lithium-ion battery price survey are out. In 2022, observed lithium-ion battery pack prices increased for the first time to an average of $151/kWh. This is a 7% increase from last year in real terms, the first one since we have been tracking the market in 2010.
Some key takeaways:
?? What happened: After more than a decade of declines, rising raw material and battery component prices pushed battery prices up. The upward cost pressure on batteries outpaced the higher adoption of lower cost chemistries like lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and the impact was felt in the industry.
?? Reaching $100/kWh: This mark is often cited as the benchmark for when EVs hit price parity with conventional vehicles. The higher battery prices in 2022 are set to delay the point at which pack prices reach $100/kWh by two years, from 2024 to 2026.
?? What's next: BloombergNEF expects battery prices to stay at similar levels next year, further defying historical trends. Battery prices are expected to start dropping again in 2024, when lithium prices ease and more extraction and refining capacity comes online.

#Litihum production will commence by the middle of 2025 with an estimated mine life of 26 years, and the opportunity to extend and expand.
We'll be producing enough lithium carbonate and boric acid per year, on average, to create over 400k #EV a year while creating jobs and supporting a US-sustainable infrastructure. #NevadaMining #Lithium
I think boron will be higher priced than where it is now, when production starts..
what the market cap will be, in a couple of years when they are about to be producing the two products.
