Approved? If you are looking for newly listed on the otc you go here each day - do it in the afternoon - and click on "view" to see any new listings:
http://www.otcbb.com/AllDailyList/
or u can try here:

Where can you find a list of newly approved companies listed on the OTC index? In other words, can you find them before they start trading or right as they have been approved? TIA
When you see the actual trade printed you will know if it was at the ask or bid by the price.
Gezz thanks. I thought it was showing buys at the ask and bid. Learning.
I think you have it set so that you are seeing all three. So they are showing you what the ask, bid, and the actual trades are. When I use time and sales (and I actually use it in Market Trader because I like it better) I only have it set to show the actual trades. So in Time/Sales in Pro go to that arrow on the right - it is a pull down menu and chose Settings. Under the Settings tab toggle Trades Only. This way when you want to see actual trades you can see the size, time, etc of the actual trades. I think that is what you are looking for. If you keep it where all three are showing, it will show the ask or bid every time it changes along with the trades. I personally don't need to see that so I just set it to "trades only".
I understand bid is when you buy at bid price, and ask is when you slap the ask in effort to raise the PPS, but what is a trade? I hope I don't sound too ignorant.
Understand items in a Time & Sales window You can use the Time & Sales window to view the activity of a selected security for a specified time period. The window displays the following information:
Symbol: The symbol of the security
Indicator: The type of event or transaction
* B = Bid
* A = Ask
* T = Trade
E*TRADE PRO L2 question:
I'm new at using L2 and I have lots of questions, but one at a time.
In the time and sales window under the indicator bar a Alfa character (A,B,and T)is displayed with the sale of a stock. I assume the A= ask, B= bid, but I’m not sure what T stands for.
Anything to help a fellow trader in the stock markets.
Just wait for an ipo announcement, I'm sure there will be one soon. Just wait for it so as you can have a stock market investment.
Glad you enjoyed the posts here in the forums. I hope you learn more from your stock market investments here!
To make life simpler if your buying shares, if you want something , buy it in ask. Stock market investment should make your life simpler.
Yes, these days, stock market investment execution is somewhat choppy compared to before.
hehehe ofcourse people go crazy for their stock market investments!
I think that sounds like an ihub technical problem - post your question here:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=504
after iread a message it dont show i read it
Thanks for the info.
Yes, that is why when a company releases news that they are going to be bought out at a higher price the pps goes nuts.
We can benefit since if the shares are to be bought is for majority control, the buyer is required to offer to buy also the shares of the minority investors as well.
Acquisition Question
How does an acquisition work for shareholders?
If I don't own any of the two companies stocks and read about an acquisition and want to buy the stock for the gain, would I be part of the agreement of the price to be purchased at?
The company being acquired stock price is $9.00 and the other company agreed to acquire all outstanding shares at $16.00.
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks
Thanks Cintrix!
Ok, I have two reasons I can give you.
For one thing, there actually was a problem with orders via market makers today. Etrade was having problems with all day where orders were sitting and they weren't getting execution confirmations. I spoke to them about it and they said it was a gliche that was not on their end. Now, I had no problem getting orders filled with choicetrade today.
The second reason I will offer is that you are using GTC. I have no idea how valid this is, but a good friend of mine who was a broker once told me to always use a day order over a GTC - that they fill faster. I remember him telling me "if you have to put the order in everyday, then do it over using a GTC" - I have never heard of anyone else offering this theory so take it for what it is worth.
Topic: Sell/Buy orders not being filled.
Can anyone provide an explanation for the following scenarios where my order is not being executed? It happens once in a while for me but I got extremely frustrated when it happened three times today. Please note I do not use AON orders.
1) RPTN: Was watching L2, saw shares go through at .0245 so I lowered the ask to .024 as I've been trying to close out my position. Saw 3720 shares printed at .024 but they weren't mine. Got mad so I lowered the ask to .0239 and the 30000 shares that printed at .0239 were not mine again! What gives? I saw L2 change seconds after I put in my sell order both times so I know I was first in.
2) WCRM: Had a GTC sell order at .295 since last week. This morning shares went through at .3 and .299. Once again, my order was not filled. *note I did not see L2 reflect my .295 sell but I often encounter this situation and the order will usually fill.
3) MBHIQ: Have been trying to accumulate shares at .0051 but no luck. I've had a GTC buy order for well over a week now, and 5,400 shares were sold at .005 today, below my price of .0051. *Again the mm did not show up on L2 at .0051 with my buy order
Would really appreciate an explanation. TIA.
Depends upon how much you really want it. There are many times when you place a buy at the bid price and you don't get the fill. When you place a buy at the ask you are more likely to get filled. There are some times when even placing a buy at the ask doesn't work because the stock is in huge demand and the price keeps upticking - in that case, people who really want shares will place an order over the ask.
when placing a buy why would you pay asking price instead of bid price?
Any public company will have stock for sale on the market.
The market maker listed for SUNR is:
SUNR ,O ,SUNRISE SECURITIES CORP. ,NASDAQ TRADING ,212-421-9044
SUNR ,O ,SUNRISE SECURITIES CORP. ,NEW YORK, NY ,212-421-1616
If you think they are in some way related you can call those numbers and inquire.
I'm sorry ,I came across SUNR on a L2 last week and was wondering if it was apart of (SUNR)sun sports they talked about making (SUN Investment & Finance Inc) and was wondering if it was related

not quite sure what u r asking, but sunr mm is:
SUNR M Sunrise Securities Corp. NASDAQ TRADING 212-520-2969
Thanks I found then on other L2 also but no one can give me a answer..lol most likely it is just a coincident ? but if it is not it will be good for sunr
That is a "stock specific" question and not for this board. Try asking on the lken board where people who watch it might be able to answer it.
I'm wondering if sunr is new on the L2 for LKEN ? SUNR was getting into finance and am wondering if they are the same

This expansion will require forming additional subsidiaries, including SUN Investment & Finance Inc

what exactly is equityfeed screener ??
I don't have that software but there must be some kind of perimeters you can set for < a certain price, picking the exchange, and volume incr of over a certain %.
Can anyone help me setting up equityfeed screener criterion for sub pennies... I want a screener that picks up sub pennies in accumulation (before the MOMO plays...)....
thanks in advance
Huh? What do you mean? Are you showing an ask price? Did you put a buy order in at the ask and not get filled? I'm not quite following you.
If I am interested in a stock, how do i know if there's even any stock available.
Thanks for your reply.
Looking for a web based Level II system. Does anyone know of one besides the one here? Unfortunately this site is blocked at work and I can't download any software programs.
I don't follow it but a lot of stocks drop right after the divy is paid.

C - what does a q designate at the end of a stock?
That is an Ihub-related question that you can post here (I have no idea how they calculate their most popular boards):
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=504
Just curious, I've been watching the Breakout Boards and was wondering what the criteria actually is to make the board. I see the % but what does it mean. Thanks
I mainly use my own perimeters. It all depends on what type of trades you are looking into. I am a bounce player so I have my nasdaq plays set at a drop of 15% or more. For the pink and otcbb's I set the % much higher. There are so many selections you can make - you have to decide for yourself what type of plays you are looking for - volume, % up, % down, new highs or new lows, etc.
do you use their predefined strategies or do you creat your own?? What "triggers" are the best to look for when trading penny stocks?
