Depends upon how much you really want it. There are many times when you place a buy at the bid price and you don't get the fill. When you place a buy at the ask you are more likely to get filled. There are some times when even placing a buy at the ask doesn't work because the stock is in huge demand and the price keeps upticking - in that case, people who really want shares will place an order over the ask.
when placing a buy why would you pay asking price instead of bid price?
Any public company will have stock for sale on the market.
The market maker listed for SUNR is:
SUNR ,O ,SUNRISE SECURITIES CORP. ,NASDAQ TRADING ,212-421-9044
SUNR ,O ,SUNRISE SECURITIES CORP. ,NEW YORK, NY ,212-421-1616
If you think they are in some way related you can call those numbers and inquire.
I'm sorry ,I came across SUNR on a L2 last week and was wondering if it was apart of (SUNR)sun sports they talked about making (SUN Investment & Finance Inc) and was wondering if it was related

not quite sure what u r asking, but sunr mm is:
SUNR M Sunrise Securities Corp. NASDAQ TRADING 212-520-2969
Thanks I found then on other L2 also but no one can give me a answer..lol most likely it is just a coincident ? but if it is not it will be good for sunr
That is a "stock specific" question and not for this board. Try asking on the lken board where people who watch it might be able to answer it.
I'm wondering if sunr is new on the L2 for LKEN ? SUNR was getting into finance and am wondering if they are the same

or if it a coincidence for the SUNR ??
can any one find out ?
what exactly is equityfeed screener ??
I don't have that software but there must be some kind of perimeters you can set for < a certain price, picking the exchange, and volume incr of over a certain %.
Can anyone help me setting up equityfeed screener criterion for sub pennies... I want a screener that picks up sub pennies in accumulation (before the MOMO plays...)....
thanks in advance
Huh? What do you mean? Are you showing an ask price? Did you put a buy order in at the ask and not get filled? I'm not quite following you.
If I am interested in a stock, how do i know if there's even any stock available.
Thanks for your reply.
Looking for a web based Level II system. Does anyone know of one besides the one here? Unfortunately this site is blocked at work and I can't download any software programs.
I don't follow it but a lot of stocks drop right after the divy is paid.

C - what does a q designate at the end of a stock?
That is an Ihub-related question that you can post here (I have no idea how they calculate their most popular boards):
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=504
Just curious, I've been watching the Breakout Boards and was wondering what the criteria actually is to make the board. I see the % but what does it mean. Thanks
I mainly use my own perimeters. It all depends on what type of trades you are looking into. I am a bounce player so I have my nasdaq plays set at a drop of 15% or more. For the pink and otcbb's I set the % much higher. There are so many selections you can make - you have to decide for yourself what type of plays you are looking for - volume, % up, % down, new highs or new lows, etc.
do you use their predefined strategies or do you creat your own?? What "triggers" are the best to look for when trading penny stocks?
I see them now, thank you very much. The one place I didn't look.
If it isn't a public message you saved and you are referring to a private message saved, go to Mailbox and click on My Folders.
Click on Mailbox and underneath Private Message and Public Replies you should see Kept Public Messages
When you "keep" a post where can you go back and see these kept posts? I have searched all over and cannot find this.
I have a link in this post to it - check the tutorial out - basically it shows you exactly what it does:

I like etrade for the tools they provide. I use both them and choicetrade - choicetrade charges a few dollars less a trade ($5)- there are good and bad regarding both - that is why I use two different brokers. At one point I was using three different brokers - had Ameritrade too - but that got a bit hairy after awhile.
cintrix - are you happy with E-Trade for penny stocks? I have been using Scottrade but have been advised that E-Trade offers better pricing and more tools. Your thoughts? How does their Strategy Scanner work?
I'm now also. Thanks Not sure what was going on earlier
I am logged in without any problems.
Anybody use E-trade here? For some reason I can't get logged on this morning and just curious if anyone else is having problems
That is a lot of money for a trade. Aren't they supposed to be a low commission brokerage? Makes no sense unless the company isn't dtc eligible - did you call them and inquire?
Hello. New Here and at trading. Am currently using Trade King and wanted to by CXLT and they wanted $75.00 or more but I wouldn't know till processed. It is pink sheet. Who would charge just a standard fee? Thanks, Dave
thanks I just need to keep hearing that
Unfortunately we do not give stock specific advice on this board. I don't know anything about the company, but as with any penny stock, be very careful and don't drink the koolaide. I can tell you this. I trade penny stocks, I don't invest in them. Do they have potential of making money for people? Yes, but they also pose huge possibilities for potential loss. Even the ones with the huge runs eventually come back down.
I am brand new to pennies/pink sheets and have followed the message boards for EYSM. What I am hearing makes sense like the company is actually making profit etc,but just now am reading the welcome and what to do,what NOT to do and am SLOWLY realizing I may be about to fund someone's vacation. Can someone look at EYSM who doesn't have money in it,preferably a seasoned trader, and confirm they think I'm a newbie sucker,or this is one of the very few possible real things???
You may be right - I rarely dig back on old news because I am generally a very short term bounce player and I am only concerned with why the stock is down at the moment. BTW, you should be using Pro for their Strategy Scanner tool - it is invaluable.
Thanks for your help. I'm going to fire up my Market Trader Pro software, to see if it provides me with older "news". First I have to dig up the old password I was given, about 6 months ago. Thanks for the tip, though. I should be using that software anyway, just for the L2 it provides........Just got your most recent post.......True. Maybe it's just me, and I'm "dreaming" that I used to be able to read way way back into a company's news........I believe the "big" explaination for the changes I see, are that perhaps the stocks affected USED to be listed on OTCBB, and have had a change to OTCQB status. Maybe that is considered to be a "clean wipe" of a stocks history, and a "new start". That's the only explaination I can come up with.......Thanks again for your help.
Yeah but even MT isn't showing news from a long time ago.
I realize now that you stated Market Trader, not Marketwatch. My wrong......I use Fidelity's software for my "viewing" normally. Perhaps I should "reload" my Market Trader software, and fire it up, to see the "difference" in the news that it provides, for each ticker. Understand though, Market Trader is a "trading" software, and is a bit different than what I was mentioning, about the "rest of the world", as far as say common ticker info websites, like Yahoo, Marketwatch, Google, IHUB, etc.......
Ok, I see what you are saying. If you want archive pr's they are not there from years ago. Post it on the Q&A board and see what the reason is.
Yes. Marketwatch, like Pinksheets, has the historical charts for each, but the historical news only goes back to Dec 2010. It is even "shorter", on Pinksheets, going back to only Jan 2011. But for example on Marketwatch, I notice there is no older historical news for even ANY stock, including midcaps, etc.. The problem with Marketwatch is they don't seem to hold the historical older news, for any stock, beyond a few months.....I do know that the historical news, for the four tickers I mentioned, USED to have older historical news, everywhere I used to look, dating back for several years worth, even here on IHUB. Perhaps it is mostly a problem with IHUBs historical news, on these stocks that were affected by the Rule 15 thing. I simply used to be able to rely on referring to IHUBs news, for a given ticker, and that info seems "purged". I could show you examples of tickers that still have hundreds of news releases, dating back to 2009, but these would all be ones that weren't on the Rule 15 lists. I guess bottom line is, I can't seem to find historical news, for say those four I mentioned, dating back to the stocks starting year, anywhere. I used to be able to do that, before the Ruling thing, and read about a stocks "history", all the way back to the 1990s if I wanted to. I imagine the only way to find "older" info, would be on some "achival" news storage website, which I haven't been able to find. Maybe the "news purged" Rule 15 tickers, is something that somebody like IHUBs Erwin or Matt, are fully aware of the situation. I can only guess this, and maybe it's something they aren't "concerned" about, or it's way too much bother, to replace all the missing news for these tickers, here on IHUB. Perhaps I should ask them, over on that board, just to see if they are "aware" of it.
Rich, I just plugged EBIG, IFRS, VIVK, PHIE into Market Trader and I was able to bring up past information including Price History, Charts, and News.
Hi, sorry for the delay, in getting back to you. I'm glad you at least say that you've seen some "blanked out" ones. Everywhere else that I mention this problem, it seems like I get no responses. As if either it's uninteresting, or just doesn't matter to most people. I find it kind of odd, that no one sees it as a little "strange". As I said, the previous long term chart info and historical news has "vanished", on many tickers affected by the Rule 15 thing. And I realize it was a change, that just affected the MMs associated with the stocks involved. It's weird on some, as there will only be news from 2007, or 2009, etc.....On most, the PPS chart seems to begin abruptly, as of the "correction" date, after the Rule 15 compliance happened for each. Here's a small list of some I own: EBIG, IFRS, VIVK, PHIE. I've also browsed several others, that were on the OTCBB Rule 15 list, that also got affected, similarly........I wish somebody had a sane answer, like "just add a .PK to the ticker", or some simple "getaround". I haven't found a cure yet. For some of the affected tickers, Pinksheets still shows the historical PPS chart correctly, but the news is gone. I also see the same effects, on other popular ticker research type websites. Anybody else out there have any "clues"?
