Fingers crossed the BK scenario described in this link can be somewhat applied to Intelsat shareholder's current predicament. I understand that the debts are indeed higher than the company's asset value. BUT, we all know Tepper's push for Chap11 was more strategic than anything else. https://assets.empirefinancialresearch.com/static/this-embattled-stock-is-a-potential-nine-bagger-in-waiting-3264.html
Couldn't agree more. Lots of upside still yet to be tapped. From the low of .13 to a potential HIGH bounce in the dollar range. The news is accelerated at this point. Should stay in the trader eye. Big stakes and Market Makers will keep this ticker active over the next coming months as news breaks for Intelsat.
LET'S GO INTEQ!
Thanks, took a position today. Let's see how it rolls out. Shorted heavily for sure.
15 Billion in debt
therefore nothing left here, was going to load up until I saw that.

Tepper still in and so is Cyrus with big position. It could be like American Airlines. Stock won't be cancelled if Debt exchanged for equity...Risky play, that's for sure. Have 50% loss here.
Great posts on INTEQ. Do you still think it's a screaming buy at 0.20s now?
Thanks for your inputs.
Had issues getting my buys to go through on the reg TD app, had to jump over to thinkorswim, but got my orders filled at .201 and .205.
Fingers crossed for some good old fashioned otc MM pump n dumps! :D

The Company (Intelsat) expects that holders of shares of the Company’s common stock could experience a significant or complete loss on their investment, depending on the outcome of the Chapter 11 Cases.
I changed to INTEQ, bankruptcy. Delisted to the OTC:
https://otce.finra.org/otce/dailyList?viewType=Additions
The new symbol, as of tomorrow at the open.
No. Intelsat is being delisted by NYSE soon. It does not affect this stock at all. However due to Intelsat BK filing and court filings etc. this ticker wont recover not even past 1.00 pps . May be violatile due to extra large spectulative and guesses about possible improving its outlooks. Not sure. Just saying ... Very difficult to decide whether to buy or avoid large amount of shares on this stock.
$I : GM dude............ i added some here
Great price at $0.44
GO $I
Good morning MM
This looks interesting..
$I : David Tepper gonna do something here.... now $0.44
I wouldn't miss up on this opportunity.
Watching this one and $KALG today
GO $I
You're correct. I just checked and they did indeed sell enough shares to get under 4.9%
That may well be an old buy.
They filed recently a sale to get under 4.9% reporting requirement.
Would be very surprised if this was a new buy.
Appaloosa Management buys 7M shares of Intelsat; https://seekingalpha.com/news/3575343-appaloosa-management-buys-twitter-exits-caesars-cuts-facebook
to everyone : the judge can get his palms greased with a mid 6 figure backroom briefcase full of cash (sorta speak) in order to wipe out hundreds of millions of equity holder value, and quite possibly a backroom stake in the newly emerged company. Tell me why my “conspiracy theories” are wrong...
Aweee, how cute.
“It was a burden on us, and it wasn’t allowing us to invest in as much of the innovation and new things that we have wanted to over the years.”
Delisting to OTC, how is there not a trading stop?
Have shareholders ever survived a bankruptcy?
One other point, their BK motions were approved by the court within two days of filing. Are we in ancient Rome?
This one is interesting. https://cases.stretto.com/public/X070/10255/PLEADINGS/1025505152080000000194.pdf
Hopefully your vibe is correct.
It's also possible that they are just keeping the drum beating so they can actually get rid of the shares they already purchased.
Exactly! David Tepper's MO in WaMu was he loaded up on the Preferred Shares of WaMu, not just the Bonds and same thing was done by TPG which is the BIggest Holder of ALL WaMu Equity flavors -supposedly they were 'cancelled' in the 'BK' but actually the underlying were 'Safe Harbored'.. So now, whover in WamU are holding the 'worthless' Flavors of WaMu actually still have a claim on Assets out of the BK.
Same MO by Appaloosa & even more pro-actively by Cyrus here.. They in fact 'loaded up' on the 'Convertible Bonds' in addition to the Commons...they did t for a reason....
Time to accumulate shares...

That's odd because I got a different vibe from the most recent 13D filing from 5/14/20 and it looks like they are trying to protect shareholder value. Exact wording from the 13D filing ;
"In addition, the Reporting Persons may engage in discussions with other current or prospective shareholders, industry analysts, existing or potential strategic partners or competitors, investment and financing professionals, sources of credit and other third parties regarding a variety of matters relating to the Issuer, which may include, among other things, the Issuer's business, management, capital structure and allocation, corporate governance, Board composition and strategic alternatives and direction, and may take other steps seeking to bring about changes to increase shareholder value as well as pursue other plans or proposals that relate to or could result in any of the matters set forth in subsections (a) through (j) of Item 4 of Schedule 13D."
After seeing the 13d filing, the addition of a large bond purchase by Cyrus is definitely screaming to me that Tepper is fighting for the bonds and unlikely for the common shares.
The bible says that all things happening in secret will be revealed, I loathe the thought of being in the room when the secrets of wall street come to light. Not saying mine aren't bad, but dang.
Definitely bring yourself up to speed if you have any $$ on the line with this stock. Appoloossa, Tepper's "house," owns enough shares to make a difference in which way this company goes. Right now, I feel he's pushing for chapter 11 in order to restructure debt as well as force the FCC's hand. But, I'm not sure where that leaves us. Intelsat could indeed be delisted and drop into trading OTC. But there are other massive companies worth more than Intelsat trading there (think Fannie and Freddie) so that doesn't bother me as much as possibly having our shares cancelled as part of the chapter 11 strategy. If they try that mess, I'm afraid I'll be spending even more money in legal fees in an effort to protect my investment. Gonna need to be very watchful on the developments from this point forward because Tepper can make things happen while protecting his interests... and flushing ours.

Are you friggin high, or a multiple personality. My very first comment was that Tepper was behind the bankruptcy and you came back with some bull about my thinking he wanted to zero out his shares... which is a far cry from Tepper wanting Intelsat to go Chapter 11 for multiple reasons. Now you're agreeing with me that Tepper was behind the bankruptcy? I'm done with this thread. You're absolutely ridiculous. Doesn't matter that we're both shareholders and on the same side, you seem to wanna disagree to just disgree... then agree without agreeing. Like I said, friggin ridiculous.
Who said 'Tepper didn't Push for this"?? That's exactly the Point.. "Tepper Pushed for this" and That's EXACTLY why It is a Screaming By here.. . You still don't get it...

The only reason I have been here is because the fall back always seemed to be that the FCC calls for a timely action. Ajit Pai can't have that without some government interference now. Even that ability is called into question when precedent of BK proceedings like this is in play. There are so many bonds that there are hundreds of people just waiting in the wings to slow this down.
FCC emergency meeting anyone?
