Only the strong will survive long term in this sector. I believe we both hold a few of the survivors at this time.

MTLS NEWS:
FRANKFURT, Germany, Nov. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With the release of Magics20, Materialise NV (MTLS) continues their leadership in effectively bridging the gap between meaningful applications and Additive Manufacturing systems, further enabling the rise of certified end-part manufacturing. This latest version of their industry-leading data and build preparation software introduces a new user interface and supports all current file formats, including voxels and .3MF. With Magics20, the efficient use of existing and emerging AM technologies, metal AM systems in particular, has never been easier. Magics20, combined with Materialise's range of software solutions for AM that include an enterprise software solution (Streamics), a range of Build Processors, an Additive Manufacturing Control Platform (AMCP), and more, is a true software backbone for the AM industry.
Evidence of the power unleashed by Magics20 can be seen in the projects and demonstration material Materialise now has on display at formnext. Featured projects represent a range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, eyewear and more, with cases from Toyota, Adidas, Samsonite, Schunk, 328 Group, Hoet Design Studio and RS Print. Today also saw the announcement that Materialise's certified Factory for 3D Printing is now manufacturing end-use plastic parts for Airbus's A350 XWB. These projects and more show that with a highly-integrated software and hardware infrastructure, it is possible to deliver a product ready to meet the standards of even the most demanding of industries.
Materialise Founder and CEO, Fried Vancraen, had this to say about Magics20, "When I purchased my first stereolithography machine and started Materialise 25 years ago, the industry lacked the software needed to efficiently connect a design to a 3D Printer. In order to survive and thrive as a company, we needed to develop a solution that allowed us to meet customer demand for 3D printed prototypes, on time and as ordered. The resulting software worked so well that we brought it to the market as Magics. Over the years, Magics has helped lift the AM industry as a whole to new levels by optimizing data and build preparation for an expanding range of materials and technologies."
He continued, "Now, 25 years later, we face new challenges as our customers increasingly request 3D-printed, end-use parts that meet the demanding standards of their industries - and it is a challenge we have proven able to meet. And once again, Materialise is ready to raise the AM industry as a whole to new heights by granting access to a software backbone that enables certified manufacturing: Magics20."
With Magics20, Materialise continues to meet the needs of the AM industry, both today and for many years to come. The software is a powerful tool that connects vital components from design, to production and testing, thus enabling the quality, traceability and repeatability required to meet the demanding standards of industries such as aerospace, automotive, eyewear and many more.
New Magics software... new airbus account... certifications in high barrier end part manufacturing...wake up boys lol!
This has great long term potential years to come nice one to hold

Great news...and I love it is still under the radar. I wonder how this will all play out now that they will seem to have beat GE to the punch. Tons of subcontracts or a buyout coming imo.

It's like we can't lose. More attention, higher price... Current attention, cheap shares. I can't see GE building planes in Europe and NOT coming to MTLS. I checked the website a few days ago and saw them making lightweight seats for Toyota. It's slowly unraveling. Fun times ahead
I'm actually hoping for a recession so I can buy cheap for the next few years.

Good afternoon Steve. I missed your post. I think it would be a mistake to judge this company or any legitimate company in the 3D space by the number of postings here or on any social media. Let the companies that we believe in go through their growing pains and be confident and resolute in your original reasons for being a "long".
NO FEAR HERE---GLTU/A!
GE is one of my favorites also. Slimming down and getting in front of lots of growth.
Sigma is only a steal if it goes up from here. I like their odds but SGLB and ONVO already have all my to the moon money for now.
Sigma is still a steal but has much more time before the ball starts rolling there. I like Arcam as well but my entire portfolio is speculative lol so I am going the GE route for the dividends. Materialise is by far my favorite company though.

Materialise and Arcam Partner to Enable Seamless Integration between Software and Metal 3D Printer
Materialise Build Processor Is the De Facto Standard for Simplifying the 3D Printing Process
Leuven, Belgium – September 15, 2015. Materialise NV (NASDAQ: MTLS), a leading provider of Additive Manufacturing software and of sophisticated 3D Printing solutions in the medical and industrial markets, partnered together with Arcam, listed on NASDAQ Stockholm, to create the Arcam Build Processor, which will be launched and available for purchase in the following weeks.
In the story of 3D Printing, software plays a critical role. That is why Materialise partners with 3D printer manufacturers to create build processors that enable a seamless integration between software and printer. Similar to the way 2D printer drivers work, Materialise’s user-friendly build processors simplify the 3D printing workflow and give users more control over their 3D print.
Users of Arcam’s Electron Beam Melting (EBM) machines are mainly active in the orthopedic implant and aerospace industries. To reduce the weight of parts or to facilitate bone ingrowth for implants, complex designs such as porous, lattice and lightweight structures are created. These complex designs can easily be created in Materialise’s 3-maticSTL software. With the Build Processor, the user can avoid the large STL data stage by using a compact file format and slice-based operations. The unique Materialise slicing technology allows easy handling of these complex designs.
In addition, thanks to the two-way communication between the printer and the software, facilitated by Streamics, the Build Processor does not just tell the printer what to do, it can also pick up feedback from the printer, which enables the tracing and storage of data on specific jobs. This provides an unprecedented controlled 3D printing environment, helping meet the rigorous manufacturing requirements of, for example, the medical and aerospace sectors.
This Build Processor is one of many that Materialise has released and we are looking forward to future releases with other partners.

It's not about years for me. As long as there is progress in the industry and MTLS is in it and growing, I will stay. I kind of think of it like a quarter-back on a roster. So far I think this guy is more talented and reliable then the number two. When that changes, then he will either be replaced or share time with the former number 2. I have a certain amount allocated to non core money (speculative). The allocation within that varies on what I see as having the best chance to return the most. Arcam is another name that I consider having a good shot at something big. I am also in SGLB. More of a leap of faith than Arcam or MTLS but I got in early and like what they are doing. All have the potential to go to zero, but I like the upside on all.
Like I said, no hard timeline, just a bet on potential. When the potential is reached or gone, then I will sell.
You're definitely early... And if there's one thing I learned from bitcoin, it's that the infrastructure has to be setup first before adoption. Materialise seems to be the leader in a few areas and I like what they are doing with medical software. With today's Arcam news, my bet is they deals coming from GE or Airbus. This stock is highly overlooked... Would be nice if all these build processors have Printrite 3D!!!
What's your horizon on a play like this? Two years? Ten years?
GL
I've got the shares that I want. I hope I am in early. I am in no hurry. They seem to be making good progress. As long as they do that, I see no reason to get excited one way or the other. This is a long term story for me like most of my speculative money. 3d will take off and some will be rewarded greatly. Some will go away. I am betting that MTLS will be rewarded greatly based on their early position and ability to generate revenue from lots of sources and relationships. No hurry here for me.
I think it is time the belgium underdog mentality needs to stop. Communicate what you are doing. Talk, write, publish, show, discus, step up for god sake! Tell your employees to be active on social media. Ihub yahoo cnn . Come on, wake up!
Why is this board dead. Mtls has 1000 employees world wide. Nobody investing or paid in shares?
This stock is monitored by more people then you think. Transition to new industrial production is also a danger to ...
I don't why this stock struggles... I hope I am here before the party and not being arrogant...
Dont let the last poster get you. He goes short on all his stocks. And showes up after a rise.
Short play here
Chart says so
Happy Trading
Anybody have concrete news here for sharp decline and high volume?
No just wanted to use that money to help me build other positions that I knew would move first. Love Sigma but much lower price and I can still get back in around my avg ~.10. I can't afford as much MTLS as I want and need all I can in before any news comes. This company should start to pick up speed.
Why out of sglb? Doubts regarding co. Or impatient about gains? I see the same members pup up here.
I agree. I sold Sigma at a loss to add here and recoup. Don't want to get caught with my shorts down when financials release. Definitely keeping a close eye on both.
I'm glad to be here. Volatility is a true test of a committed long.
While I trade as I please, my core is long.

I guess there's not much to say with such confidence.... Of all my investments I know this will be show the best quarterly results. If not, ehh I will load on the way back to 8...hopefully.

Buying signals are starting to point positive. Hope this will gain new investors. Maybe this means people start to understand what is going on. Could be good news for sglb.
Eight days smh... I can't wait til payday... love this company!
I agree with your assessment of Sigma and there is added risk involved , but no way you own too much of Materialise. Their software sales alone justify every purchase you make. Great move on the BOD that should add value to an already great few months.
GL
I don't understand manipulation stockwise. As mm you want to built a great company with the feedback in rising value as a conformation. You walked the wright path. Maybe i am to naive. The results are more importand then ego.
I own too many shares of both, no shame here both companies will be worth much more 2-3 years from now as the AM industry is still an infant and most do not understand the difference between AM for production and 3D printing for consumers.
No faith lost with Sigma, if anything my faith has been restored with the previous run and future October conference, you should just be aware that the stock has been heavily manipulated and will be for quite some time until they get off of the OTC, ideally within the next 18 months.

I see bachers as a good sign. Hope the wise boardmembers of sglb understand, this is what happens when the pps drops before it goes up. Don't sell because of wave makers. Most of us are long. We should stick with our knowledge. Same as mtls. It takes time...not everybody understands the future. I thought people would gain understanding faster...doesn't mean we are wrong. Your thought?
