Carl Icahn is hiring former GE executive to be CEO of Icahn Enterprises
IEP smoken!

Icahn Enterprises (NASDAQ:IEP) declares $2.00/share quarterly dividend, in line with previous.
Forward yield 11.94%

I don’t think they will be paying out any more dividends like they did in the past. $ENZN just recently updated their site to say that they are basically a mini SPAC:
About
Enzon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is positioned as a public company acquisition vehicle, where it can become an acquisition platform and more fully utilize its net operating loss carryforwards and enhance stockholder value.
I just wonder if Icahn has a company in mind yet. Shareholder meeting is on the 18th
Interesting....did I see ENZN pays a 12 cent dividend
FYI, Carl Icahn now owns 49% of ENZN .24 stock now after his recent purchase. There will be a shareholder meeting on Friday. Wondering what he is going to say and what if he has found a private company for ENZN to buy with its $48 million cash it has.
Could get interesting very quickly
Its official, Carl is moving to Miami March 31st

hope he changes from a K-1 to 1099
I'm a little concerned about the -3.14 quarter EPS reported last week.
I have been selling calls and puts as well as collecting the incredible Divy!

Should be the next divy announcement soon!
Been collecting IEP on dips...loving the $2 buck/share divvies...
On May 7, 2020, the Board of Directors of the general partner of Icahn Enterprises declared a quarterly distribution in the amount of $2.00 per depositary unit, which will be paid on or about June 25, 2020 to depositary unitholders of record at the close of business on May 19, 2020. Depositary unitholders will have until June 16, 2020 to make an election to receive either cash or additional depositary units; if a unitholder does not make an election, it will automatically be deemed to have elected to receive the distribution in cash. Depositary unitholders who elect to receive additional depositary units will receive units valued at the volume weighted average trading price of the units on NASDAQ during the 5 consecutive trading days ending June 23, 2020. No fractional depositary units will be issued pursuant to the distribution payment. Icahn Enterprises will make a cash payment in lieu of issuing fractional depositary units to any unitholders electing to receive depositary units. Any unitholders that would only be eligible to receive a fraction of a depositary unit based on the above calculation will receive a cash payment.

That quarterly dividend is as certain as the day is long. Love IEP because of that.
Icahn Enterprises (NASDAQ:IEP) declares $2.00/share quarterly dividend, in line with previous.
Forward yield 12.81%
Payable April 28; for shareholders of record March 20; ex-div March 19.
Got it. I have been watching for a good bottom to enter here as well. Waiting for funds...
No not at all, but you can swing it without taking the dividend. IEP usually swings $10.00 between quarterlies
Now that IEP is moving HQ from NY to FL for tax implications Im wondering if they'll drop the K-1 status, it would be much better for shareholders across the board.
Question is the $2 bucks per worth dealing with the K-1 at tax time?
Keep a eye on IEP, next divy isnt due until March 2020 but the sp has dropped nearly $10.00 bucks since the November dividend. Also in 2017 IEP raised its dividend from $1.50 to $1.75, In 2018 they raised again from $1.75 to $2.00, so now with moving HQ from NY to Florida and the private notes offering we may see another dividend raise from $2.00 to $2.25 in 2020.

All master limited partnerships use the K-1 reporting. Someone here posted about getting around the K-1's. I think it was maxgainz but not positive

IDK. IEP's dividend always looks strong but come Income Tax time we get taxed in a way where investors of the LLP share the tax responsibility on IEP which is passed down via the IRS K-1 Forms. Using this method investors are paying on gains. We are Limited Partners. We have to file K-1 forms. Depending on your exposure to IRS Taxes in some cases it really cuts into that 'perceived' gain.
-The S/P always drops between quarters, IEP has RAISED their quarterly dividend from $1.75 to $2.00, these cheapies are a Bargain, once the next dividend payout draws near the S/P will climb back into the $70.00's like it always does. Just a matter of time-

Well is it time to sell IEP and take the loss? Seems Carl is not moving to Miami and we all know. he is no spring chicken. How will IEP fare after Carl passes away?
I have been a longtime holder of IEP but with the price dropping along with the unknowns I am wondering if it is time to sell. He has pretty much told his employees that is HIS way or the Highway with severance.
I would like to hear others' opinions and rational on IEP.

getting close to the next divvy announcement! Can someone show me a better dividend of 2.00 dollars a share at this stock price than what Uncle Carl offers!
He is shorting the market big time and that worries me a little but, He is considered one of the top 10 investors of all time so I just go with the flow!
A former IEP CFO Kevin Wilson just joined a penny DGTW as their new CFO after raising IEP's income from 32 Million to 61 Million
I have a feeling the penny will become dollars under Wilsons guidance
Bamm there it is!

I think we are going to have to go out and buy some 80 dollar IEP Marching boots soon! What a juicy dividend! Nice...
from the conference call!
As you can see, IEP had a busy year generating significant earnings for our unit holders. The strong earnings and robust liquidity on our balance sheet led to our Board of Directors, increasing the quarterly cash dividend from $1.75 per unit, to $2 per unit or $7 per unit, to $8 per unit on an annualized basis.
$2.00 dollars a share dividend made 11 dollars a share in 2018 this is defiantly headed for higher ground! Nice job Uncle Carl!
Bunch of happy campers in the IEP campground. Up 3 dollars on the earnings and dividend hike news! Cha Ching...
