Well, the stock is re-testing short term support levels at .84, so we'll see where this goes.
I guess if it breaks below it, my upside prediction will be moot.
Dang! That short must have hurt today. Gimme some more advice there junior.
Resistance currently $1.29.. Maybe by your 10th post you'll understand more.
Thank you, @USNavyResearch for the spotlight in your showcase! The #KARNO generator is a great fit for naval operations, offering a quiet, low-emission, and low-maintenance solution. https://t.co/5X6dMqvBKb

Sorry for your bag holdings son.
Its gets 2-3 post per day. Yet this is where you are on a trading day. Watching a dead stock. Meanwhile I have done 45 trades and came here for sh8ts and giggles see what morons do here.
Thumbs down, of course. You think I enjoy taking money from stupid people like yourself?
But I will do it none the same.
There is still room to short this. As social media is full of pumpers.
There is a Telegraph ( alleged) dedicated to shorting this and a couple others like it.
The key is to find bag holders and pumpers. Everyday investors pump this since IPO.
Buy back hype is perfect and ripe.

Perhaps, but they ARE buying them back. While 90% of the other penny stocks are raising their AS and dumping into the market.
Not defending the company. Just recognizing the good stuff from the bad.
Fred - No - The Company is buying back the same shares they sold you at the IPO.
They sold High and they are buying back LOW. Just like me.
No, the company is buying back shares.....so, unless you are saying they short their own stock.......
Not saying you've been wrong about everything...but not completely right either.
I am curious though, as a claimed shorter of stock....is there a share price you will not short below? I mean at some price it just can't be worth it, right?
Fred - A Share Buy-Back is called Short Covering !
This is exactly what I do. Sell High ... "Buy-Back" LOW !
Not the sign of a Healthy Company
Well, not entirely. The company is currently buying back shares.
WTM - looks like I was right here too.
Electric trucks should shake off setbacks in 2024
New models, infrastructure additions signal stronger electrification push

Relevant quotes:
"The Hyliion Hypertruck ERX natural gas-electric powertrain shown in Peterbilt Model 579 gliders disappeared from view late in 2023. The startup’s board of directors saw no path to profitability. Suppliers raised costs. Serious interest from fleets lacked for a more complex solution to zero-emission driving than a straight battery-electric."
"Hyliion pivoted to using Karno generator technology purchased from GE for stationary electric generation. It will be a story to watch in 2024. A recent test using untreated natural gas directly from the Permian Basin showed the generator could achieve heat levels need to generate electricity with an ultra-low emissions profile."
Hyliion one month chart. Looks pretty good to me.

https://ih.advfn.com/stock-market/NYSE/hyliion-HYLN/stock-news/92860344/hyliion-holdings-announces-20-million-stock-repur
Hyliion Holdings Corp. (NYSE: HYLN), a developer of sustainable electricity producing technology, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a stock repurchase program of up to $20 million of the Company’s issued and outstanding common stock, par value $0.001 per share.
“The initiation of a stock repurchase program underscores our confidence in the potential of KARNO’s innovative generator technology and in our ability to complete development and delivery of initial units next year,” stated Thomas Healy, Founder and CEO of Hyliion. “Our strong capital position affords us the opportunity to further enhance value for our shareholders, particularly at a time when we believe the market has yet to fully value the Company’s potential.”
Hyliion recently announced that it is winding down its powertrain operations while concentrating future efforts on development of the KARNO generator. The Company reported $324 million of cash and investments at the end of September 2023 and projected a year-end balance of approximately $285 million after completing most powertrain wind down activities. Hyliion expects to begin initial paid deployments of the KARNO generator in late 2024 and projects cash spending of approximately $40 million for the year.
Repurchases of shares of common stock under the stock repurchase program will be made in the open market and in accordance with applicable securities laws. The stock repurchase program does not obligate the Company to acquire any particular amount of common stock, and it may be suspended or terminated without notice at any time at the Company’s discretion.

FD, fair enough. Time will tell, as always.
I see it now as no different than all the other penny stocks that always tout they "plan to" do something in the future. Or they are "working on".....
I can't defend this company for claiming the same type of stuff that so many other penny stocks, I've called out, have done.
I'm ticked at myself for believing the story from this guy. Let him actually do something before I reward him with any further trust.
FD, to me the key point of the video is that he believes Hyliion recent change/pivot in business model from heavy duty transportation to energy by the acquisition of the Karno generator technology is a strategic move to benefit from the US Government subsidies in this area to the tune of $3 billion dollars. Following are the key quotes from the video:
"It is the policy of the United States to support modernization of the nation's electricity transmission and distribution system to maintain a reliable and secure electricity infrastructure that can meet future demand growth and to achieve each of the following which together characterize a smart grid. And if you look at section 7 it mentions deployment and integration of Peak shaving Technologies. Peak shaving is one of the items that the chief strategy officer mentions in Hyliion on investor day. Isn't that ironic, no it's not. The overview and this is going back to the smart grid from energy.gov, the federal funding amount is three billion with a B not million, billion dollars and the recipients include for-profit entities. I'm pretty sure that the board wants a chunk of that cash. To qualify Investments may include monitoring controlling and integrating distributed generation into grid operations."
"If you go back to the press release from Hyliion they successfully provided power to the electric grid and they also mentions it further demonstrates the generator's viability in distributed grid applications. Those two requirements match up with each other, they're trying to pair this with Federal funding for smart grid technology. You have Hyliion on the left with their linear heat generator, the chief strategy officers pitching Prime power Peak shaving, the US government has the department of energy under it and they have a grid Innovation program and they have $3 billion dollar of federal funding available."
"They're trying to position themselves to get some of this Federal grant money and in particular there's also mentioned that there's also loan opportunities so instead of diluting share price they can just get money from the US government through these specific programs to Infrastructure and Inflation Reduction (Act) (IRA) to keep Building Technology."
I'm also interested in content, but it needs to not motivate me to skip through the info.
The only thing I got from the video is that Cummins may buy them out one day.....which would be good by me.
I've always made money in CMI.
FD, not me. I speed watched the video by reading the slides, since that's what the presenter was mostly doing anyway. Agree on the presentation style, the content however, was interesting. I'm tend to be not too critical of presentation styles, as I'm a terrible presenter myself, I'm generally more interested in the content than style.
Man, was that you in the video???
That was impossible to watch for 13 minutes! I had to fast forward to the end, and I'm really interested in this!
Maybe, add in a little emotion to your videos? Maybe have a coffee mug and occasionally take a sip like Craig Ferguson does?
Something to break up the monotony. Anything to hold the viewers interest. Sock puppets?

I briefly talk about the Hyliion governance committee as outlined in their schedule 14(a) 2023 document. Then, I explore the linear heat generator and government smart grid rabbit-hole.
I'm pretty ticked at Thomas Healy. I took a flyer on the guy and have to wonder if he was selling me a bill of goods (where does that expression come from?)
I do see he gifted 200,000 shares and I'm hoping he gifted it to who I think he did.
Other than that, I'm still not convinced he's not just a money raiser.

FD, agree. The technical story sounds good, but investors want to hear about sales and profits.
Doesn't look to me like anyone is buying the story this morning. Not even any insider trading lately.
Not a good sign.
Hyliion’s KARNO™ Technology Successfully Tests on Unprocessed Permian Basin Gas
December 12 2023
https://ih.advfn.com/stock-market/NYSE/hyliion-HYLN/stock-news/92786465/hyliion-s-karno-technology-successfully-tests-on
Hyliion Holdings Corp. (NYSE: HYLN), a developer of sustainable electricity production technology, today announced that its KARNO generator technology has successfully been tested using untreated natural gas directly from the Permian Basin. This achievement highlights the KARNO generator’s innovative fuel-agnostic capability, and further demonstrates a significant step forward in the efficient utilization of natural resources.
This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20231212319531/en/
During a test of the KARNO reactor, the technology showcased the ability to effectively utilize raw, unprocessed field gas to achieve the necessary heat levels for electricity generation while maintaining an ultra-low emissions profile.
“This milestone is particularly noteworthy as it highlights the anticipated operation of the KARNO generator at oil and gas sites, without the prerequisite of purifying most gases,” said Thomas Healy, Founder and CEO of Hyliion. “One of our focus areas for early adoption is the oil and gas industry, as we see an ever-growing demand to reduce harmful flaring.”
Historically, oil and gas facilities will release or flare off excess or unusable gas; however, the KARNO generator is expected to offer the ability to utilize this gas to produce electricity. By converting this untreated gas into electricity, the KARNO generator can offer a dual benefit: significantly reducing emissions compared to standard flaring processes and generating a valuable revenue byproduct for the sites.
The KARNO generator is also expected to be used at oil and gas facilities to power the onsite equipment and replace the use of conventional generators. At many production facilities today, operators transport purified gas in to run the onsite generators. Instead, the KARNO system is expected to operate using the gas coming directly from the site, eliminating extra expenses and logistical complexities.

This kind'a ticks me off. I can handle the loss, but I met with the guy in person before investing and I'm typically a very good judge of character.
This is one among several stocks targeted in short discussion groups.
With all the buys recently, its ripe for another round of shorts.
But this is just one of a few on that list this weekend.
From 45.00 to .61 someone made money.
I didn't say this was in a great situation, I had a problem with your enjoyment of it.

FD, thanks for your feedback. I am interested in your posts, and since you have over 230 followers, apparently, so are many others.
Luckily, I'm still minimally invested in HYLN, 10 shares, just enough to maintain interest, waiting to see how things settle down before considering whether or not to buy more shares.
Fred says - "What I think is one of the few things of interest on IHUB." ... To you.
Well that just makes you stupid. What I think is one of the few things of interest on IHUB.
Apparently, pissing people off is your thing.
