L2 spreads on both are enormous...
jkingmidas0: Best of luck. My friend's relatives have lived around Nag's Head (the accent is on "Head") for generations--possibly going back to Virginia Dare's days. They claim to be descendants of the Roanake Colony. Think Croatans and Lumbees. After one of the storms in the 1990's, her cousin spent 100K replacing the sand on her property. Regardless, they have survived and prospered despite too many hurricanes to count.
littlejohn: She is supposed to hit the Outer Banks in about 26 hours, then gradually weaken to a Cat 2. I cannot see how the Outer Banks would weaken her because they are bascially sandbars.
welcome to my world
SINX...you want a real hurricane play...look at SINX...mobile water treatment for natural disasters...
totally new hurricane play..never pumped in prior hurricanes...it ran during the japan disaster...unknown by the masses..unpumped...
but if this gets bad along the east coast... they have a real product that might actually be needed...

CHDO last major Hurricane Season went to .23
Watch CHDO;"Eco-i-Lites have become very popular throughout the country as storm-prep items," said Reid Goldstein, President of Capstone Industries. "Through the use of technology, we have offered peace of mind during emergency situations, when it often becomes challenging to complete even ordinary tasks such as finding your way out of a room," continued Goldstein. "Because of the upcoming storm, retailers currently carrying Eco-i-Lite in the threatened area, expect a significant sell-through in the next few days," he concluded.
WEGI and PDGE - still have fond memories of 5 baggers....
Don't forget about ECCI and EEGI - so many oldies not even mentioned anymore. ADDL and HSOA are a couple others that come to mind. Ah, the good old days, lol.
State-by-state look at dangers, prep for Irene
http://news.yahoo.com/state-state-look-dangers-prep-irene-012629732.html
Irene may be entering an area for steadily increasing strength if the shear doesn't hamper it much...Past the islands and gliding like she is on ice now...
And how much effect can a 20 to 30 kt shear actually have on a fully developed, well constructed cane under other ideal conditions?...
Hot atmosphere, hot water, and still some inflow feeding moisture from the southeast...
Intensity growth above expectations for the next 36 hrs. shouldn't be surprising if it occurs...LJ

A CAT 4 is coming "soon"... jmo
RGMI and WEGI can merge to become the super cane company with their old assets...LJ
littlejohn: Fortunately the full moon was last weekend.
That is good for mitigating the tidal surge. If a CAT 3 hits land at high tide on a full moon, there can be flooding at least 80 miles away from the point of landfall--that is, vertically along the coast, not inland. Perhaps the distance is even greater than that. Making landing on a full moon at high tide is the worst case scenario for flooding. One thing to be grateful for.
Good point. I changed my attitude and so now, since everyone knows the hurricane is coming and have had ample warning, if a penny company wants to capitalize on the events, I will be there to make a pretty penny myself.
The most excitement in many years for the "Hurricane Stocks" lolzzz... and people in the way of Hurricanes have plenty of warning unlike earthquakes and tornados and the rest... so Hurricane stocks can be "pumped" with incoming "DOOM" if they like... since again, anyone in the way should have fair warning and just do what they need to do to stay safe...

Have you played Hurricane stocks before ?

Watch out for BUGS and NSMG, they can gap because of the this
Louisiana Declares a State of Emergency as Storm Builds in Gulf of Mexico
Read the Full Article http://bit.ly/aiWt96
A month ago, while I was doing my usual, end of the day search to find out what stock did some abnormal movements. I came a cross NSMG which had made upward move on a very low volume. I was wondering what made this stock to move up on no news and no volume. After farther research I found out that NSMG is a Hurricane stock which means companies that are directly associated with hurricane clean up damage assessment, stuff like that. I have done extensive DD on these stocks and I like to share them with you
Hurricane stocks such as BUGS and NSMG, are seasonal stock which during Hurricane season they move up extremely in some cases they could go as high as 5 to 10 folds. On March 15th, I went on and posted NSMG and BUGS on my watch list. Read it here http://bit.ly/aM4lJo
Then NSMG was at.007 and BUGS at .0010 , I hope some of you had bought them then.
Ever Since they have began making some good move, on increasing Volume. Before I go any farther I would like to respond to those whom think its kind of wrong to invest money in a stock in hops a huge Hurricane happens and makes you money. My respond is, thats not the case, and here is why
A-Hurricanes are going to happen whether anyone hopes for them or not.
B- Your investment is not tied to Hurricane it self. because you buy them cheap NOW and sell them BEFORE the Hurricane hits in, and then pray that no one gets hurt. you are buying these like any other stocks, buying them low and sell them high. For now these stocks have made their move but still affordable. This is strong accumulation period, people buying in bits and holding. Any news about formation of tropical storm within 100s of miles away from the land, can bring in thousands of investors to buy these stocks.and when everybody jumps in, eventually the price spikes. You’ll have too many chances to flip these stocks several time Starting from Jan till the end of October. There is almost no chance that one Hurrican won’t happen again this year. Unfortunately, on December 9th 2009Tropical Meteorology Project at Colorado State University forecasting this (“We foresee an above-average Atlantic basin tropical cyclone season in 2010 and anticipate an above-average probability of U.S. and Caribbean major hurricane landfall.”). Looking at past years, April is usually the month that the hurricane stocks really spike with the anticipation of the storm season. Most are still a great investment with and easy triple from the current levels with the threat of a hurricane. If you look at the charts you will find a lot of buying and not too many sells. I believe Hurricane stocks will move up from here on.
Hurricane Preparedness Week during 2010 will be held May 23rd through May 29th.
Atlantic hurricane season is from 1 June to 30 November. These event will bring more attention to these stocks and the PPS will go higher even before any Hurricane shows up.

Atlantic hurricane
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An Atlantic hurricane refers to a tropical cyclone that forms in the Atlantic Ocean usually in the Northern Hemisphere during the summer or autumn, with one-minute maximum sustained winds of at least 74 mph (64 knots, 33 m/s, 119 km/h).[1] When applied to hurricanes, “Atlantic” generally refers to the entire “Atlantic basin”, which includes the North Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.
Most Atlantic tropical storms and hurricanes form between June 1 and November 30. The United States National Hurricane Center monitors the basin and gives out reports, watches and warnings about tropical weather systems for the Atlantic Basin as one of the Regional Specialized Meteorological Centers for tropical cyclones as defined by the World Meteorological Organization.
Tropical disturbances that reach tropical storm intensity are named from a pre-determined list. On average, 10.1 named storms form each season, with an average of 5.9 becoming hurricanes and 2.5 becoming major hurricanes (Category 3 or greater). The climatological peak of activity is around September 10 every season
GV should see 40's by EOW - will be way too much talk about the eastern seaboard through until then. Such a damn shame WEGI couldn't come back to life. Maybe they can throw out a hype PR and pay off some of that default..lol
I added BM#81 lets see what Hurricane stocks hit the hardest!!
GV selling by people who may not have known what they own after an unrelated Canadian gold company pr may be about over...LJ
Incase anyone doesnt realize how serious this storm threat is - this is jeff masters (premier weather blogger) and what he said this morning in his update.
Back in 1938, long before satellites, radar, the hurricane hunters, and the modern weather forecasting system, the great New England hurricane of 1938 roared northwards into Long Island, New York at 60 mph, pushing a storm surge more than 15 feet high to the coast. Hundreds of Americans died in this greatest Northeast U.S. hurricane on record, the only Category 3 storm to hit the Northeast since the 1800s. Since 1938, there have been a number of significant hurricanes in the Northeast--the Great Atlantic hurricane of 1944, Hazel of 1954, Diane of 1955, Donna of 1960, Gloria of 1985, Bob of 1991, and Floyd of 1999--but none of these were as formidable as the great 1938 storm. Today, we have a hurricane over the Bahamas--Hurricane Irene--that threatens to be the Northeast's most dangerous storm since the 1938 hurricane. We've all been watching the computer models, which have been steadily moving their forecast tracks for Irene more to the east--first into Florida, then Georgia, then South Carolina, then North Carolina, then offshore of North Carolina--and it seemed that this storm would do what so many many storms have done in the past, brush the Outer Banks of North Carolina, then head out to sea. Irene will not do that. Irene will likely hit Eastern North Carolina, but the storm is going northwards after that, and may deliver an extremely destructive blow to the mid-Atlantic and New England states. I am most concerned about the storm surge danger to North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and the rest of the New England coast. Irene is capable of inundating portions of the coast under 10 - 15 feet of water, to the highest storm surge depths ever recorded. I strongly recommend that all residents of the mid-Atlantic and New England coast familiarize themselves with their storm surge risk. The best source of that information is the National Hurricane Center's Interactive Storm Surge Risk Map, which allows one to pick a particular Category hurricane and zoom in to see the height above ground level a worst-case storm surge may go. If you prefer static images, use wunderground's Storm Surge Inundation Maps. If these tools indicate you may be at risk, consult your local or state emergency management office to determine if you are in a hurricane evacuation zone. Mass evacuations of low-lying areas along the entire coast of New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia are at least 50% likely to be ordered by Saturday. The threat to the coasts of New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine is less certain, but evacuations may be ordered in those states, as well. Irene is an extremely dangerous storm for an area that has no experience with hurricanes, and I strongly urge you to evacuate from the coast if an evacuation is ordered by local officials. My area of greatest concern is the coast from Ocean City, Maryland, to Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is possible that this stretch of coast will receive a direct hit from a slow-moving Category 2 hurricane hitting during the highest tide of the month, bringing a 10 - 15 foot storm surge.
NSMG +84% -- BUGS +52% Breaking out ---
Look for the big move to come tomorrow after the nightly news pump of Hurricane Irene into the Northeast
Alright, I was wrong to knock this board a couple days ago. Hurricane is very real now and I'm sure many pennies will capitalize on any damage. Watching all these plays close.
BUGS .0032 NHOD starting to go now too - hurricane plays are a go into tomorrow
Up to 200 to 300 miles from the eye of a cat 3 storm will be seeing trees and residential power grids put under stress...
Large wind bands spanning out can have higher wind gusts than can be estimated...
Wind bands will be stressing trees with an opposite direction than they grow to survive against...
Hard to estimate storm surge from the wind band rotation until it is moving over any given area...

NSMG the king is back -- +100% again today and moving on impressive volume
Bought some VSR ($2.60) as a hurricane play
Besides having pretty decent FY year-to-date results, Virginia-based Versar just announced this contract...

With the hurricane bearing down on Virginia and the eastern seaboard, I'm guessing that "Versar’s experience in rapid mobilization of resources" will come into play in the next week or so...
littlejohn: Thank you. Good update. Irene is the size of the States of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina combined. She is big. She is going to smack the stuffing out of the Delmarva Coast, and everywhere else in her path. It will be interesting to she how she compares to Isabel. Probably she will be a lot worse.

NSMG UTing .0034 NHOD - definitely out preforming BUGS today.
Almost lookin like it wants the all important .004 break today going into tommorrows bigger move. Quite impressed today actually
littlejohn: When U have time, could you post a map showing the major tracks. Right now, it looks like the Delmarva Peninsula is in the line of fire. Thank you very much.
NSMG +20% BUGS +36% - next leg up beginning as Irene takes aim at Long Island.
Today might just be a decent setup day but tomorrow could get crazy as people load before the weekend
CHDO is a steal right now at .0075. Emergency lighting is one of their main product lines
Look what the CHDT Corp CFO says: "The Company will post record year-to-date revenues and profits at the close of Q3," said Gerry McClinton, CFO for CHDT Corp. "Our teams are working hard to sustain this momentum and the results validate their effort. These are tough times but exciting times for companies that are responsive to the changing demands of the retail marketplace," stated McClinton. CHDO
Yea, but I'm sure he's probably loading the bus as we speak, lol
