A complete table of drill results from the La Josefina project can be obtained at www.huntmountain.com/pdf/LJresults.pdf and within the project Technical Report on the Company’s website. The drill hole numbers associated with this press release are SVN-D08-052, -123, -124, -126, -128, -130, -133, -134, -136, -137, -138, -139, -140, -141, -143, -151.
Recent drilling has focused on defining the extent of precious and base metal mineralization along the Veta Sur target which is located to the south and east of the Veta Amanda vein system within the broader Veta Norte zone. Veta Sur remains open down dip and along strike to the southeast, and results from the latest holes show an increase in both the grade and thickness of the mineralization as the vein is tested along the oreshoot’s plunge. Step-out drilling is currently being conducted beyond the surface outcrops where the mineralized structure runs beneath shallow colluvium.
“We are extremely pleased by these latest assays from the Veta Sur target,” said Danilo Silva, President of Cerro Cazador S.A., the Company’s wholly owned Argentine subsidiary. “As the results from our year-long efforts at La Josefina continue to pour in, we are beginning to see the development of a significant precious metal occurrence. The continuity of high-grade gold-silver mineralization, coupled with outstanding base metal values, provides us with additional options as we analyze potential mining methods and prepare for the next phase of drilling. These values will obviously have a very positive impact on our resource calculation efforts.”
The La Josefina Gold-Silver Project is located in the north-central portion of Santa Cruz Province in Patagonia’s highly prospective Deseado Massif and comprises an area of over 52,770 hectares. The property encompasses multiple precious metal occurrences within a 10 km-long hydrothermal alteration belt that is 1-3 km wide. The region hosts numerous precious metal mines in production and deposits under development. HuntMountain entered into a partnership agreement with Fomicruz S.E., the provincial mining company, to earn a 91% interest upon completion of a positive feasibility study.
Certified sample preparation, gold and silver fire assay, and 28 element ICP analysis were carried out by ALS Chemex in Mendoza, Argentina and La Serena, Chile. HuntMountain takes detailed digital photos of the entire core before it is cut by saw to half core which is assayed at ALS Chemex's La Serena laboratory. As part of quality assurance, quality control (QA/QC), HuntMountain has incorporated a detailed program of systematically introducing certified standards, blanks and duplicates into the sample stream. Half-core samples are being retained on site for verification and reference purposes.
The qualified person who has reviewed this news release is James F. Ebisch, M.Sc. Geology. He is a Registered Professional Geologist in the state of Oregon (G #928). The intervals of mineralization reported are not true widths. Based upon the angle of intersection of the drill hole and the vein projection, the Company’s geological staff estimates that intervals are approximately eighty percent of true width.
HuntMountain Resources Ltd. is a U.S.-based junior exploration company engaged in acquiring, exploring and developing precious and base metals properties throughout North and South America. The Company currently controls and operates projects in Santa Cruz, Argentina; Chihuahua, Mexico; Nevada, USA; and Quebec, Canada.

Must close 4 million in equity financing first. Wonder if Tim Hunt will do it himself again, or open it to the public? Probably add over 10 million to the OS. Guess I should probably just email IR and ask! Then I will answer myself here! lol Guess I should be used to talking to myself by now.......lol
Guess we are lucky to be self funded (kinda) by The Hunt family and foundation. No pesky bank to deal with. Just keep those results coming! Sure wish I knew if they were that good or not, lol. Oh well, as good a place to park my money as any I guess....

“The latest assay results are highly encouraging, and we have accelerated our exploration program to continue drilling through the winter,” said Matt Hughes, HuntMountain Executive Vice President & COO. “We now have two core drill rigs operating twenty-four hours a day with one tasked for general exploration and the other on resource definition. Exploration is running at full speed and will lead to a steady stream of assay results through the season. Our goal is to delineate a resource before year end and enter the pre-feasibility stage eighteen months ahead of schedule. HuntMountain’s commitment to La Josefina is rock solid.”
Drilling is producing approximately 3,000 meters of core per month, or 100 meters per day. Out of over 110 holes, 95 have been logged and 74 have been split, sampled, and shipped for assay. The Company anticipates receiving and releasing a considerable amount of additional assay results in the coming weeks. The La Josefina camp has been significantly upgraded to provide adequate cold weather shelter for the equipment and crew. Core processing facilities have been improved in addition to the dormitory, kitchen and restroom facilities that support over 40 workers on site.
Certified sample preparation, gold and silver fire assay, and 28 element ICP analysis was carried out by ALS Chemex in Mendoza, Argentina and La Serena, Chile. See Press Release 08-03 and Press Release 08-06 at www.huntmountain.com for earlier reported assay results.
The La Josefina gold-silver property is an advanced-stage exploration project consisting of a 528 square-kilometer area located near the center of the Deseado Massif region of Patagonia in northern Santa Cruz province, Argentina. The property encompasses a zone of epithermal alteration and mineralization one to three kilometers wide and more than ten kilometers in length. Within this area, more than 15 kilometers of precious-metal bearing veins have been identified. The Deseado Massif encompasses an emerging epithermal mineral province with abundant precious metal occurrences. The region currently hosts three producing mines, several deposits being readied for production, and a growing number of additional projects in advanced stages of exploration.

(a) Gold equivalent grade was calculated by dividing the silver assay result by 52 and adding it to the gold value. Troy ounces/metric ton was calculated by dividing grams by 31.1 and rounding to 2 decimal places. Interval calculations are based on a weighted average using a 1.00 g/t cutoff value.
(b) Assays were previously reported using equivalent grades calculated with an outdated gold-silver ratio

Dog-eat-dog in the world of mining execs I guess. Hecla has announced the appointment of James Sabala as Executive VP. Gets 280k per, restricted stock, options, etc, blah blah blah. Guess I don't blame him, but I sure hope we can make him regret it!! No commute to Spokane, CDE and HL are both headquartered in Coeur D Alene. Huntmountain is in the Spokane Valley about 20 miles or so away.
OT-Slojab. Sorry to hear the back is taking so long to heal. Maybe Spring (when it gets here) will cure it. I still am a freebie here, but always love hearing from ya! Have a good weekend!
Thank You Spooky! Any input you have will be appreciated!
Actually just one day, if any. lol He was supposed to start on the 24th, then this pr on the 25th. What's up with that?? I did email the Co., but no reply yet. Hitting the high today on just 4k shares makes me think it was probably Mr. Hunt himself buying. He does buy quite a bit on the open market and maybe felt that communicated an "all is well"?? I don't know, but am still hopeful. Hope all is well with you. Still frikkin snowing here. But, I do have some hearty plants that are trying to grow anyway.
SHAZAM! Just 20 days at the helm!
HuntMountain Resources Appoints Tim Hunt as President
SPOKANE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
The Board of Directors of HuntMountain Resources Ltd. (OTCBB:HNTM) has appointed Mr. Tim Hunt to resume the position of company President. Jim Sabala is leaving to pursue other employment opportunities.
Close yesterday .75. 2 on the bid at .80 now. Lowest ask is .85 then onto the .90's. A dollar can't be far away here. A pr would be nice, but doubt they will put one out until new President is offically in next week. Still nice to have a bright spot in this market.
Well.....since Feb. 22 buying has outpaced selling 2 to 1 and we have gained .25 in share price! Very cool! Toying with the ytd high and hoping to make new ones!
What I really like is Mr. Sabala's experience with the American and Canadian markets! Mondays's 8-K about the domicile change should be the last requirement for the TSX, I think. So, hopefully we hear about that soon, and some more drilling reports. I also like to see the MM Pena on the bid. Not to long ago, they were bidding under .50. Local MM, strong on mining.
Yes, it must be that darn update, since I still get stymied trying to cut and paste at times. Someday I will just try and delete it. Hope all is well with you!
LOL. Is that thing update still giving you fits?
Oh well. Just post the link, I guess. At least, everyone else'll be able to watch it.
See the pr today introducing the new President? That leaves Tim as just Chairman.
ALSO.....looks like the sp may be about to break into all-time high territory! I hope I kick myself for not getting into this with you! Good luck! ( ;
Thanks Slojab! I will have to figure out why I cannot recieve yhe video. Probably that stupid windows update I accepted.
Nice video to put in Ibox from The Korelin Economics Report featuring Hardy and Hughes, Hugs.

About Us
A New Company
HuntMountain Resources is a U.S.-based junior exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of precious metal properties throughout North and South America.
Unprecedented U.S. trade deficits, record energy prices, the potential demise of the U.S. dollar, and growing anticipation of inflationary pressures have contributed to a new public interest in precious metals. Numerous junior exploration companies have taken advantage of the consequent movement of capital into the resource markets, but few, if any of these groups can boast of the strength and professional experience offered by the HuntMountain management team.
Well-financed and globally-connected, HuntMountain Resources seeks to distinguish itself from the junior exploration crowd and increase shareholder value through patience, perseverance, and prudent management of investor capital.
A Legacy of Success
The HuntMountain Resources team is comprised of individuals who are no strangers to success. From building an 900-employee manufacturing firm to securing ownership of a $4 billion silver-copper deposit to discovering and evaluating world-class mineral deposits, the depth of HuntMountain’s leadership should inspire confidence throughout the broader investment community.
HuntMountain’s management is committed to realizing the success attained in its previous endeavors and weathering the storms of the volatile precious metals and commodities cycles. Good companies are found, but great companies are made.
A Philosophy of Value
Shareholder value is increased by adopting a comprehensive strategy and focusing resources to achieve identified goals and objectives. HuntMountain Resources believes its value is enhanced by results from the ground rather than hype from the market. Precious metal exploration is not for the faint of heart, and only those companies focused on consistent performance and long-term results can turn possibilities into success.
HuntMountain’s value-based approach to mineral exploration will result in long-term success for the company and a reputation of integrity in the marketplace. We hope you share our philosophy and invite you to explore the opportunities available with HuntMountain Resources.

Aye Cap'm.....it is still thinly traded. We won't see much hype from the company either. They don't need to fund themselves by CD. But the bid has gone to .60, ask still at .68, so maybe some volume today. As for news here, we should hear about the Toronto exchange soon. Personally I would like amex, but what the hay!
Moron of the day: me.
I had HNTM when it was MMLC and sold because it was such a light trader and I got bored with it.
Good luck shareholders.
Ohhh, now I feel bad. ) :
"Okee Dokee, just me, myself and I."
Okee Dokee, just me, myself and I. But, stop by anytime bud!
Sorry, just you, hugs! I've got enough "good stocks" on my plate! Gotta leave room for dessert! lol
Besides, first-stage gold mining stocks have never been good to me. ) :
Ok, for the rest of the world........why are you interested in Hunt Mountain? Me...well I am from the North West and am semi-familiar with Huntwood Industries (seperate major holding of the pair). Only what I read, but Tim Hunt and his wife Resa seem like honest, smart folk who work hard. Their cabinet biz in Spokane seems to prosper. We have an impressive board. Sadly we lost Randall Hardy to tblc, but still have stellar management imo. As demonstrated, Tim Hunt is willing and able to finance the company if needed, imo. Between he and his wife, they own over 3/4 of the company. Most likely any raise in the OS (dilution) will be controlled by them. The Argentina holdings seem to bear decent returns. I hope my heart doesn't get broken by them, but I feel this is a great long term hold!
Whoo Hoo! Me and you baby! Or should I just say me?????? I didn't think you owned this. May be a mistake not following it, at least! But Good Lord, I have given you the heads up on some real dogs, for sure! But also could be a board just to chitter chat for a bit before the world is aware of hntm. Congrats tho, on the first post on the hntm board!! Gotta love my Slobaby!!
