I took a break from the puter for some fresh air and dinner and you dig up all kinds of stuff!
Nice.
I don't even own this stock yet. I found it this weekend, liked it, and took over the board before finishing my dd.
I like the name of course ;) I recognized the brand, I liked the 52 week low with no/low volume, and I liked the share structure.
I'll probably start a position here this week.
So do you use Scott's Liquid Gold Tina?? LoL
Yes, I can see how diabetics would need different cosmetics....
I know wounds take forever to heal in diabetics. Must be some special ingredient in them.
Scott's Liquid Gold's wholly owned subsidiary, Neoteric Cosmetics, also manufactures and distributes Alpha Hydrox anti-wrinkle skin care and Neoteric Diabetic skin care - both highly respected product lines embraced by both medical professionals and consumers alike.
I think ca$h should also put these links in the ibox as well:

Hmmmmmmm

Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner & Preservative
Is This Product Worth Its Weight in Gold?
you want to keep your wood furniture, paneling, and woodwork looking its best, proper cleaning and wood care is essential. Over the weeks, months, and years, wood can become dusty, dirty, and it eventually dries out and loses its natural luster and beauty. Cleaning and polishing wood surfaces brings out the natural beauty of wood, and it improves the overall quality and appearance.
Scott’s Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner & Preservative has been around for many years, and this wood cleaner and preservative is still on store shelves today. How does Scott’s Liquid Gold compare to other wood cleaners and preservatives? Is Scott’s Liquid Gold as good as other popular wood cleaners and preservatives?
The following review provides valuable information on Scott’s Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner and Preservative. This information will help those looking for wood cleaner and preservatives decide if this product is right for their wood care needs.
Product Description
Scott’s Liquid Gold comes in a red, white, and gold aerosol can which is topped by a red plastic cap. The product name appears on a drop of gold. The can in my possession contains six ounces, and I purchased it at Dollar General for $2.00.
This wood cleaner and preservative has a pleasant scent. The scent reminds me of cherry-almond, and the fragrance is a unique characteristic of this product. No other wood cleaner or preservative is quite like Scott’s Liquid Gold.
Scott’s Liquid Gold claims to be a quick and easy all-in-one product for wood care. It says it is useful for hiding scratches as well as protecting and conditioning wood surfaces. This product is recommended for cabinets, picture frames, paneling, blinds, furniture, shutters, antiques, woodwork, and much more.
Instructions for Use
Scott’s Liquid Gold can be used on a weekly basis to keep furniture and other types of wood clean and free from dust. Simply apply the product sparingly to a clean dust cloth, and dust as usual.
To deep clean wood, spray the product on a clean dry rag, and liberally apply it to the surface of the wood. Use another clean dry rag to dry the wood. If you notice a dull film or a smeared surface, old wax and polish could be to blame. Simply spray the wood and allow it to sit on the wood surface for several hours. Wipe the wood with a clean dry rag, and any build-up should be gone.
Personal Experience
I discovered Scott’s Liquid Gold more than 20 years ago when I bought my first home. The living room was paneled, and the former owner said she deep cleaned it with Scott’s Liquid Gold every year. I found that Scott’s Liquid Gold was fantastic for cleaning and polishing paneling and all kinds of wood surfaces.
I currently use this product to clean and polish my kitchen cabinets and all of my wood furniture. It does a spectacular job, and I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting to bring out the beauty of their wood furniture, paneling, and other items. Scott’s liquid Gold is definitely worth its weight in gold, and I wouldn’t change a thing about this wonderful product

Product Review of Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner
The Best Wood Rejuvinator on the Market
By Curtis Carper, published Feb 13, 2008
Spring cleaning came early this year, cabin fever caused us to take a good look at the house. We realized there were a few things we could do to spruce the place up while the winter winds were blowing outside. The kitchen was the first place we looked in our quest to brighten up our living space.
Have you ever noticed that after a few years the natural wood cabinets in the kitchen start to look faded. They've lost their luster, and when you run your hands over the wood it feels dry and irritating to the touch. Wood, exposed to dry heat and sun light looses much of it's natural oils and moisture. This can lead to cracks and splits over time. Scott's Liquid Gold is a product that can rejuvenate those dingy cabinets and return the sheen that was original to them when they where first installed.
Bringing the kitchen back to it original luster was our chosen project for the day, beyond a good cleaning from top to bottom we needed a product to return that new look to the kitchen cabinets. They are oak, with a varnish finish and just look tired. Liquid Gold works over natural finishes such as varnish, lacquer, and shellac.
Scott's Liquid Gold was incorporated in 1954. They are an American manufacture who is proud to remain so. Their line of products include everything from air fresheners to stainless steel cleaner. They even make an anti-wrinkle skin care product.
Liquid Gold is a penetrating organic oil product, that restores and enhances wood's color, grain, and sheen. It sinks into the grain and returns the natural oils and moisture that was present in your wood cabinets and furniture when it was new. Removing any waxy buildup from other polishes, it even helps hides any nicks or scratches.
It can be used as a weekly cleaner, but it's power is dramatically noticeable when used on wood that has been sadly neglected. Immediately it will return to it's like new appearance.
This seemed like the product to meet our needs. Spraying a light mist over the doors, letting it sit for a minute or so, then wiping down the door with a clean rag. As simple as that, and the results were immediate. The scent was quite pleasant as well. In no time at all the kitchen was sparkling clean and looking new again.
Liquid Gold worked so well we immediately went through the whole house. In the living room, Grandpa's old oak rocker never looked so good. The antique floor model radio he brought with him when he moved in, looks like brand new. The oak mantel over the fireplace has regained its rich warm appearance. You could say the house has taken on a Norman Rockwell warmth to it.
Scott's Liquid Gold took care of our mid-winter blues, bringing our home back to it's original luster and warmth with very little effort and in no time at all.

OSHA RECOGNIZES SCOTT'S LIQUID GOLD IN DENVER FOR EXCELLENCE IN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH
US Fed News Service, Including US State News. Washington, D.C.: Apr 16, 2007.
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety & Health Administration issued the following press release:
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has recognized Scott's Liquid Gold in Denver, Colo., for an exemplary employee safety and health program. The company manufactures many products but is primarily known for a line of furniture polishes.
Scott's was designated a Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) "Star" site, the highest level of recognition that OSHA offers, during an April 13 ceremony at the company's plant. A "Star" site meets or exceeds a list of VPP safety and health elements, which far exceed minimum OSHA standards.
"The VPP 'Star' designation is evidence of the great dedication Scott's Liquid Gold has to maintaining workplace safety and employee health excellence," said Greg Baxter, OSHA's regional administrator in Denver. "The company serves as a shining example for workplaces throughout the region."
Brad Baptiste, OSHA's regional VPP manager, presented a flag and plaque to the Scott's Liquid Gold staff at the ceremony, adding, "Scott's employees have been actively involved as mentors in helping other workplaces to improve their safety and health programs, and OSHA applauds both their accomplishment and active leadership in the Denver community."
OSHA's VPP offers employers a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional safety programs by recognizing participants that successfully incorporate comprehensive safety and health programs into their total management systems. The VPP is open to deserving employers in any industry.
Requirements for application to the VPP, which now has more than 1,700 worksites across the country, include a high degree of management support and employee involvement, high-quality worksite hazard analysis, hazard prevention and control programs, and comprehensive safety and health training for all employees. Each of these elements must be effective and in operation for at least one year. Companies in the VPP have achieved average injury rates 50 percent lower than other companies in their respective industries.
For additional information on the VPP in OSHA's Region 8, which includes Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming, contact Brad Baptiste at (720) 264-6555.Contact: Rich Kulczewski, 303/844-1302.

Where can Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care be purchased?
Through this web site, as well as in the pharmacy or skin care section at many drug, discount and grocery stores – Please check out our store finder for specifics.
Do you have to be diabetic to use Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care?
NO. Products are safe and effective for use by anyone who suffers from severe dry skin.
What makes Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care different from other lotions or moisturizers?
Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care products are unique, patented products containing TriOxygenc®
What is TriOxygenc®?
TriOxygenc® is a plant derived fatty acid mixture, high in polyunsaturates. Through a patented process, significant quantities of oxygen bind to its structure and remain there until applied to the skin.
How does TriOxygenc® work?
Like the skin’s own natural lipids that carry oxygen, when TriOxygenc® is applied to the skin it temporarily mimics the skin’s natural lipids that help deliver oxygen to the skin. The oxygen in natural lipids helps to stimulate circulation and blood flow to the skin, helping speed the normal healing process.
Doesn’t the skin absorb plenty of oxygen since it is all around us?
Skin is a barrier. Only small amounts of oxygen are absorbed from the outside. Most of the oxygen absorbed by the skin is fed directly through the blood.
What are the benefits of TriOxygenc®?
TriOxygenc® has been clinically tested for over ten years. Studies have shown that its use helps to temporarily increase circulation by mimicking natural skin lipids that carry oxygen, speeding the normal healing process. It provides superior moisturization effects to protect and prevent dry, damaged skin.
Do Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care products cause any side effects or can they be harmful with long-term use?
NO. However, Diabetics should always consult with their physician before using any new products.
Will skin build up a tolerance to these products, making them ineffective over time?
NO. In fact, skin will show significant improvement and strengthen its natural defenses with daily, continued use.
Can Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care be used on the face and in combination with other products?
YES. These products provide excellent facial moisturization and protection. They can be used in combination with products such as AHA’s, Retinol, suncreens, etc. or applied under makeup or aftershave products. However, if your skin is prone to blemishes, the super-rich emollients may cause blemishes.
What is the difference between Advanced Healing Cream and Therapeutic Moisturizer Lotion?
Advanced Healing Cream provides maximum treatment for severely dry areas such as hands, fingertips, elbows, knees and feet. Daily use is recommended. Cream can be applied liberally as often as necessary.
Therapeutic Moisturizer Lotion with SPF 15 provides all-over body care for daily maintenance and protection. Treatment will keep skin soft and soothed, preventing dryness, roughness, chapping, itching and redness. Daily use is recommended. Lotion can be applied liberally as often as necessary. Reapply frequently during sun exposure.
Should Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care products be applied over deep or puncture wounds, infections or lacerations (torn, ragged wounds)?
NO.
What is the ingredient Dimethicone?
This Active Ingredient is a superior skin protectant that seals in the body’s natural moisture and protects the skin from moisture or oil loss.
Can pregnant or nursing women use Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care products?
There should be no problem. However, we always recommend that your physician be advised of all products you use.
Should persons with diabetes consult their physician prior to using Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care products?
Although there should be no problem, it is always wise to discuss all skin care choices with your physician.
At what age can a child with diabetes use Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care?
Although there are no known problems for use on children, Neoteric® Diabetic Skin Care is formulated for adult use. If your child is under the age of ten, you may wish to consult with your pediatrician.
Scott’s Liquid Gold Introduces Mold Control 500 for DIY Mold Remediation
10/06/2006
DENVER -- (BUSINESS WIRE) Scott's Liquid Gold Inc., a trusted name in the household products industry, announced the nationwide availability of its newest product, Mold Control 500.
Mold Control 500 is an EPA-approved consumer product available off-the-shelf for home mold removal in areas up to 500 square feet. With average costs for professional mold remediation ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, Mold Control 500 offers consumers an affordable, effective alternative. Mold Control 500 is retail priced at less than $30.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) calls mold "the greatest known health threat to the indoor environment today." Because mold thrives in moist environments, the effects of wet weather and humidity spur mold growth, as do plumbing leaks, leaky windows and roofs, and dripping air-conditioning. Additionally, owners of Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and boats face an even higher risk of mold infestation due to the construction and storage practices for these types of vehicles.
The formula for Mold Control 500 was initially developed for the United States military to neutralize biochemicals that might be used against the nation's troops. Unlike bleach and products that contain bleach, Mold Control 500 is safe to use on a variety of surfaces but potent enough to get to the root of the problem - the mold spores. In order to truly rid a home of mold, the spores must be removed and the moisture that feeds the mold addressed.
"Mold is an equal opportunity home invader," said Mark E. Goldstein, CEO of Scott's Liquid Gold Inc. "While areas with warm, humid climates have higher occurrences of mold, mold knows no geographic boundaries. Our product isn't for cleaning up mildew in showers – it's much bigger than that. Mold Control 500 enables homeowners to rid their homes of harmful mold growing in their walls, on their siding and under sinks without calling in an 'expert' for thousands of dollars."
Mold Control 500 is available at Home Depot, Walmart, Ace Hardware, True Value, Menard's and select Walgreen's locations. Mold Control 500 is also available for purchase online at http://www.moldcontrol500.com/

Sandia decon formulation, best known as an anthrax killer, takes on household mold
Product available in hardware stores as Scott’s Liquid Gold Mold Control 500
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A product based on a technology originally developed at Sandia National Laboratories is now available on the shelves of hardware stores across the country.
The product is Mold Control 500, distributed by Scott’s Liquid Gold of Denver and now available in Home Depot, Wal-Mart, True Value, Ace Hardware, and other home improvement stores. For around $30 a box, Scott’s Liquid Gold Mold Control 500 treats mildew- and mold-contaminated surface areas in the home, according to the package.
MC 500 is based on Sandia’s decontamination formulation (a.k.a. decon foam), developed for emergency cleanup of biological and chemical warfare agents following a terrorist attack. It is best known for its role in helping remediate anthrax-contaminated buildings in Washington, D.C., and New York in 2001.
Sandia is a National Nuclear Security Administration laboratory.
“This is pretty exciting,” says Sandia researcher Mark Tucker, who leads the Sandia team that has developed, improved, and tested the Sandia formulation over the last 10 years. “Mold remediation wasn’t what we set out to do, but the formulation is effective at killing most microorganisms, so it is good to find uses beyond our original intent — especially uses that may improve public health.”
The formulation kills fungi such as molds in much the same way it kills anthrax, says Tucker. Mold growths form films over their surfaces that, like the shells of anthrax spores, are difficult to penetrate. The formulation’s surfactants poke holes in the film, and its mild oxidizing components kill the fungal organisms. The formulation, when used as a foam, expands to fill space and thus gets into corners and other hard-to-reach places, and it sticks to walls and ceilings, giving the chemistry time to do its work.
Scott’s Liquid Gold has an arrangement with Modec, Inc., of Denver to sell Mold Control 500 in retail markets. Modec is one of two companies holding Sandia licenses to market and distribute products based on the Sandia formulation.
“Mold control is an up and coming issue,” says Modec President Brian Kalamanka. “We felt there was an excellent niche for this.”
Jeff Hinkle, Scott’s Liquid Gold senior vice president for marketing, says its recent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency approval allowed shipping to retail outlets to begin in the fall. Stores began stocking MC 500 in November, and the product is expected to reach thousands more stores this month, he says.
Development of the Sandia formulation began in 1997, funded initially by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Chemical and Biological National Security Program. It has earned two patents, and several more are pending.
In addition to helping clean up contaminated buildings following a series of mailings of anthrax powder to recipients in Washington, D.C., New York, and Florida in 2001, the Sandia foam also was staged in the Middle East in 2003 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and has played a role there in helping clean up hazardous chemical sites. Sandia’s two licensees, Modec Inc. and Intelagard Inc., have sold thousands of gallons of the formulation to municipal and state governments, the first responder community, and the U.S. military, among other users.
Tests at Sandia and Kansas State University in 2004 demonstrated the formulation’s effectiveness for killing the virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), suggesting its use also might blunt the spread of other viruses such as the Norwalk (cruise ship) virus, avian influenza (bird flu), and the common flu.
The formulation now is being discussed as a potential solution to at least a dozen problems, among them hospital sanitization, meth lab cleanup, mold remediation in commercial buildings, and cleaning out agricultural pesticide sprayers in an environmentally benign way.
