Gold Fields Limited is a South African gold producer. The Company has mines in South Africa, Ghana, Australia, Venezuela and Peru. Gold Fields has an annual gold production of approximately 4.2 million ounces. It has ore reserves of 65 million ounces and mineral resources of 179 million ounces. Gold Fields' South African operations include the Driefontein Gold Mine, Kloof Gold Mine and Beatrix Gold Mine. Its international operations include Tarkwa Gold Mine, Damang Gold Mine, Choco 10 Gold Mine, St Ives Gold Mine, Agnew Gold Mine, Kisenge Project, Central Victoria Project, Arctic Platinum Project and Essakane Project. On February 28, 2006, it acquired Bolivar Gold Corp. In December 2006, the Company acquired Barrick Gold Corporation's indirectly held 50% interest in the South Deep gold mine and Barrick's rights under the joint venture agreement with Western Areas Limited in the Republic of South Africa.
