This innovative process provides a quantum leap in expanding the commercial potential of the Energy from Waste market. The Gasification system can utilize the by-products (having heat value) of processing industries as a fuel to produce heat and/or electrical energy. In addition gases such as hydrogen and methane can be synthesized. At half of the price of competitors. Genoray can synthesize coal into methane at near in-ground cost. Current technology allows for production of 400 million BTU of methane per hour from coal through Genoray’s Fluidized Bed Gasification technology. The impact would be to reduce half the production of CO2 through the burning of cleaner fuels. Genoray can synthesize coal into hydrogen at approximately one-third current costs. The estimated size of the public sector cleanup market grows daily and is now in excess of $150 billion. This includes thousands of toxic waste sites. Estimates to clean up the private sector now exceed $50 billion. (Pollution Engineering) Genoray’s systems can be utilized to turn waste into energy thereby substantially reducing landfill disposal. The smallest gasifier is our model 1.5 which has an output capacity of 1,500,000 BTU (1.58 GigaJoules) per hour. Most biomass materials and municipal wastes can be used as a fuel. Coal, petroleum coke, heavy oils, plastics and tires can also be used. These fuels should not exceed 50 percent moisture or 20% ash. The solid fuels would have to be shredded (sized) to no larger than a nominal 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) before feeding into the gasifier. Larger gasifiers can take larger pieces. Then, there is our model 3 with combustor. This unit has an output of 3,000,000 BTU per hour. The difference is that the reactor vessel of the model 1.5 is smaller in diametre. SUMMARY OF INVESTMENT POTENTIAL 1. What is Gasification? Gasification is a chemical and heat process used to convert a solid material such as coal, biomass and any carbonaceous material into a gas for use as a fuel. 2. What are Gasifiers? Gasifiers are devices used for converting solid fuel into gaseous fuel. In biomass systems, the process is also referred to as pyrolitic distillation 3. What are Fluidized Bed Gasifiers? In the fluidized bed gasifier, a granular sand-like material is fluidized by the upward passage of air from a porous plate structure below the sand bed and preheated to 1200oF. The size of the “sand” particles is chosen such that the passage of air through the bed moves and agitates the “sand bed” giving it a fluid like character. The bed resembles a rapidly boiling pot of water. The boiling action assures good mixing of the fuel and air. The bed also acts a very efficient “thermal flywheel” smoothing out variations in the fuel supply heat values. 4. What do Fluidized Bed Gasifiers Create? This innovative process provides a quantum leap in expanding the commercial potential of the Energy from Waste market. The Gasification system can utilize the by-products (having heat value) of processing industries as a fuel to produce heat and/or electrical energy. In addition gases such as hydrogen and methane can be synthesized. 5. Who are our competitors? The following companies provide gasifiers of similar technologies for similar target markets. Lurgi, Germany; Foster Wheeler (Outokumpu), Finland; FERCO (Battelle), USA; Energy Products of Idaho (EPI), USA 6. How does Genoray’s systems compare to our competitors? Genoray’s gasifier system is half of the price of competitors. Genoray offers skid mounted and portable units, competitors only offer permanent installations. Genoray offers lease terms. Genoray’s systems because of their portability are adaptable to downstream changing requirements. Shorter after tax payout. Using satellite and modems, monitoring, adjusting and troubleshooting the systems can be done from Genoray’s offices to most anywhere in the world. Genoray’s modular systems can be integrated with 3rd party energy recovery equipment to generate process steam and/or electricity. Fabrication and assembly of modular units allow for subcontracting of the systems without loss of trade secrets. 7. What is the market potential for methane production? Genoray can synthesize coal into methane at near in-ground cost. Current technology allows for production of 400 million BTU of methane per hour from coal through Genoray’s Fluidized Bed Gasification technology. The impact would reduce North America’s reliance on imported petroleum products. The impact would also be to reduce by half the production of CO2 through the burning of cleaner fuels. 8. What is the market potential for hydrogen production? Genoray can synthesize coal into hydrogen at approximately one-third current costs. Major automotive manufacturers’ investment in fuel cell technology is reliant on an inexpensive source of hydrogen fuel. Genoray can now provide the required hydrogen at a marketable price. 9. What is the market potential for turning waste into energy? The estimated size of the public sector cleanup market grows daily and is now in excess of $150 billion. This includes thousands of toxic waste sites. Estimates to clean up the private sector now exceed $50 billion. (Pollution Engineering) Co-generation is now responsible for approximately 5% of the USA energy production. This is expected to grow to over 15% over the next few years. 40% of North Americans now live in urban areas and now produce the most garbage per capita of any civilization known to man. Last year waste management was one of the fastest growing industries in North America. Genoray’s systems can be utilized to turn waste into energy thereby substantially reducing landfill disposal.
