In July 2001 I was hired to compile data divergence tables for the ES. A bulletin board acquaintance hired me who lived in Dallas. I have been watching and researching the ES and NQ ever since.

I adored the Russell 2000 until it went to ICE and many learned tricks quit working.

statistical fact: when a solid trend is in place for either of the above markets (during regular market hours) it frequently retracts at 4:09 Eastern. In other words, if long or short near the regular close, 4:09 Eastern usually offers the best exit.

Beginning November 24, and for only a few days, my superwilly45 template signals will be shared realtime. It is a 4 and 5 minute chart of the ES (s&p500 emini) producing 2 to 5 trades each morning during 7am eastern till noon eastern and typically finishes with 80% gains per day per contract. Sought risk reward is 3.25:1. It is automated using TradeStation Easy Language code through the TradeStation interface. The mathemetics incorporated will not operate as effectively in lower volume vehicles.

New automated template has me long ES 1876.75 Babysitting this thing for a few days

my stops were never hit. Once a 10 point target is hit I have a market order to go flat. A secondary signal is often found where the position is doubled in contract quantity and the later has a new 10 point target. I had one of those on my 3:50 Eastern short - got 20 points outta that one.

The stops use a 5 minute trailing valley stop..... usually of a 2 print close low with a print .50 beyond

Sounds like the moving stop helped out a lot. Do you usually use rolling stops when placing orders?

My day has been decent. I made a trade through cocoa and I'm waiting on Oct. feeder cattle to move back up to 221.225. I sold those 10 year notes I was trying to short at 125'150 just a little while ago and wheat is looking good to short again.

No. I went long 3883.00 with a 10 point target to go flat at 3893.00. I got 3892.50. A subsequent short came a few minutes later which is against my rules of not trading near the regular hours open.

This last tumble was much the same: Using a 4 minute chart I went long at 3876.25 and went flat at 3886.25. About 5 minutes later the next tumble occurred. A moving stop had me out about the half way mark of those gains. Lucky some today. I was not aware of any news around 1:30 Eastern.

My day has been superb. I hope yours has been as well.

Did this little tumble catch you off guard on the long side for your /NQ contracts? The 10 year T-notes are in a great spot to short again. Already covered at 10:30 and ready to reload soon.

I was short at 125'110 covered at 125'040 and trying to reload at 125'150 right now. I like these 10 year notes.

Commonly flips at 9:51 but 9:44 wins today. Larry Williams says to avoid all trades 20 minutes either side of the regular open. Today Williams was right. I got a few points but not worth the wear on the mind and heart. LOL
