Stock Listing Update
First Gold is pleased to report that it is now listed on the OTCQX in the US under the stock symbol FGEXF. Consequently, the Company is now able to solicit US firms and send information to the US investor base.
Project Update - Lac Pivert/Rose Rare Metal Property
First Gold is drilling the project based on an open pit model. Unlike most spodumine-bearing dykes in the area, those on the Lac Pivert/Rose project lie parallel to surface, starting at 0 meters and dipping very slightly but steadily downward towards the north and the east.
InnovExplo was retained two months ago to complete a 43-101 property report and a resource estimate for the structures (mineralized zones).
Once it has received these reports, the first of which is due in September 2010 and the second in November 2010, the Company will order a pre-feasibility study and drill to expand this area of interest. It should be noted there are roads and power lines within a 1 km radius of the site.
New showings have been discovered 500 metres and up to 2.5 kilometres away from current project location. Sample grades of up to 4.6% Li2O aufmerksam have been received from the lab for these showings. First Gold will mobilize a drill within the next month (Singular!) to determine the potential of these new showings, test the Pivert showing and to try to build resources on other sectors of the property.
Project Update - San Javier Silver Property
First Gold is preparing a sampling program to begin in November 2010 to determine the location of the drilling campaign.
Results of random surface sampling at San Javier in 2009 yielded high silver values: 12,905 g/t or 376,4 oz/ton silveraufmerksam , 2,439 g/t or 71,2 oz/ton silver, 2,356 g/t or 68,7 oz/ton silver and 816 g/t or 23,8 oz/ton silver. In addition to the unusually high-grade silver and gold mineralization, the veins are also rich in base metals: copper, lead, zinc, tin and iron ore.
A recently-completed positive 43-101 report for the property confirmed that the project has strong exploration potential. Given the recent strength of silver prices, San Javier could grow to be another important asset for the Company. http://www.finanznachrichten.de/nachrichten-2010-09/17969457…

First Gold Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE: EFG) (OTCQX: FGEXF) (FRANKFURT: F12) is pleased to report the most recent drill results for the Lac Pivert/Rose project. The table below shows the results for holes LR-10-69 to LR-10-90, drilled to test the extension of the zones to the east. All the holes intersected mineralized zones over consistent thicknesses, and indicated that width and grade are increasing.
The drilling program is ongoing, with Hole LR-10-126 presently underway. Drilling continues to intersect the mineralized zones with sustained thickness.
A map showing the location of the holes is posted under Pivert/Rose Lithium Project in the Projects section of the Company's website, at www.firstgoldexploration.com.

All the samples were sent for analysis in sealed containers to the Chemex laboratory in Val-d'Or by employees of the Company. Chemex is the laboratory used for analysis of all samples from programs on the Lac Pivert/Rose property. The samples are weighed and identified prior to sample preparation. The samples are crushed to 70% minus 2 mm, then separation and pulverized to 85% passing 75 um. All samples are analyzed using ICP-MS, with full analysis for 47 elements.

The dikes intersected on First Gold's property contain spodumene and a large amount of lepidolite (with which the rubidium is associated). The various dikes intersected are open in all directions. This first hole is the first of nine holes to intersected the historical showing from surface down. The next eight holes also intersected the dikes mineralized in spodumene/lepidolite, including two new zones ranging in thickness from 3.6 to 13.5 metres (see press release dated December 19, 2009). A section, surface plan and photos of the mineralized dikes are posted on the Company's website at www.firstgoldexploration.com.
The Company expects to receive the results for the remaining holes in the coming weeks, at a rate of 2-3 holes per week.
The Pivert/Rose property lies less than 5 km from the Eastmain 1 hydroelectric facilities. Substantial infrastructure already exists. There is an access road to within 0.5 km of the two discoveries (Rose showing and the New showing) (see press release dated December 21, 2009) and a power line crosses the property less than 1 km from the showings.
Samples were sent for analysis in sealed containers to the Chemex laboratory in Val-d'Or by employees of the Company.
"This is a major discovery for the Company, and I thank all our shareholders for their support over the past two years," said Eric Leboeuf, President of First Gold. "As we have said before, 2010 will be First Gold's year."
ABOUT RUBIDIUM (1)
Rubidium principal application is in specialty glasses used in fibre-optic telecommunication systems. Rubidium's photoemissive properties have led to its use in night-vision devices, photoelectric cells, and photomultiplier tubes. There are several other uses for Rubidium.
Since Rubidium is not traded, no market price is available. However, in 2008, one company offered 1-gram ampoules of 99.75%-grade rubidium (metals basis) at $60.80 per gram, and the price for 100 grams of the same material was $1,168.00.

First Gold soars on rare metals
Richness of drill core drives shares up 113%
Peter Koven, Financial Post
Published: Saturday, January 23, 2010
TORONTO - In the mad rush to secure lithium and rare-metals deposits around the world, a new player has grabbed the spotlight.
Until yesterday, First Gold Exploration Inc. was a virtually unknown junior miner, one of many in Canada. That quickly changed after it revealed a discovery of high-grade lithium and other rare metals on its Pivert/ Rose property in northwestern Quebec.
The company posted photos of its drill core on its website yesterday, and the images drove investors into a temporary frenzy. Shares of First Gold jumped 113% to close at 68¢. At one point, they were up a startling 197%.
The response was surprising because drilling on this project is so preliminary that First Gold has not even released the official results yet; that will come next week.
It will be months before the company determines if it has a mineable deposit. But the pictures were enough to get people talking.
"When you see the core and it's lighting up your face, you know you've got something," said Eric Leboeuf, First Gold's chief executive.
The investor response was as strong as it was because rare metals have jumped into the spotlight in the past six months, particularly lithium.
Lithium demand is expected to explode in the coming decade because of its use in electric and hybrid vehicles. Automakers such as Toyota Motor Corp. are rushing to secure supply, and Canadian auto-parts giant Magna International Inc. has invested in a private lithium exploration company.
Besides lithium, the rare-metals group includes such tough-to-pronounce elements as cesium, beryllium, indium and niobium.
First Gold found high grades of several of these rare metals, but it is one in particular that is generating excitement: rubidium.
In a grab sample, the company reported it found a staggering 390 grams per tonne of rubidium, a little-known element that is used in electronics, energy and specialty glass.
That type of grade is all but unheard-of; total production of rubidium last year was only a handful of tonnes, largely from China.
"There's rubidium all across the world. But there's never enough to have main production of it. Our results are apeshit," Mr. Leboeuf said.
He bought the Pivert/Rose project last August from a private company in Val d'Or, Que., after learning about the lithium business from a colleague at Canada Lithium Corp. He knew almost nothing about rubidium before this discovery, but needless to say, he has spent the past few days reading up on it.
"It's a lithium project, but our [rubidium] byproduct is probably going to be worth 150 times more than the lithium. It's just crazy."
