Totally agree, regardless of what we think might happen, nothing's a sure thing anymore in this sport. We'll just have to wait and see, I'm excited.
I try to post some picks when the full card comes out. I have to agree with you Newb on the Franklin vs Silva fight. Franklin looked horrible in the Okami fight and don't get me wrong Okami is a mad M*#(@er but Franklin should have showed some more offense. Silva is going to some out full speed and it's up to Franklin to see if he can handle the heat. Franklin might have a different game plan now knowing how strong Silva is in the clinch. I think that's what really took Frankling out of the first fight. Franklin thought he would be able to man handle Silva and got lost when he couldn't. It will be fun to see what happens and how Franklin goes about his game plan.
Ok now we need some predictions for the Silva Vs. Franklin fight!!! I've got Silva doing it again.
well said, agree 100%......
GOD I hope Jardine does not fight Wandy. I still think they will have Chuck fight him. Don't forget Wandy lost two in a row also. Although this fight has lost ALOT of luster from a year ago.
What a NIGHT!!!!Guess we all learn that in MMA anything is possible. I dont care what they say Forrest beating RUA was the biggest upset of the night. RUA looked aweful and I'm starting to believe that all the Pride guys are just on the JUICE. Once the get over here where it's refulated they can't hang. You can have all the natural ability in the world but if you can't go 3 rounds you will eventually get an ass whoopin.
Ya I love whenever Chuck loses so I was extremely happy. I have a newfound respect for Forrest as well. He may actually be a contender in the division. We'll see. So does Jardine fight Silva now??? Interesting. Pride fighters have not been fairing well in their transition to UFC.
Ya Mirko just isn't up to par in the UFC. When you think of it, he's not well rounded at all. He only relies on his left kick, which everyone and their mom knows is coming.
the way it seemed in that fight kongo was scared in the first probably due to his rep... but after the first he realized WTF he's not so bad.
When kongo beats you on the ground your ground game sucks ass because kongo isn't that great on the ground.
Ya I think it is. How can he possibly bounce back now. Nobody's scared or intimmidated by him any more. Sucks cause I loved the guy.
fights don't start till 9:00 anybody gonna be watching and on the boards at the same time.
Oh man that website you posted the link to is my new favorite. Thanks. Just watched the Sobral fight. Bloodiest I've seen I think. What a punk though.
I agree it was fun watching beebe escape out of all those sub attempts.....
can't wait for saturday
kongo v.s cro cop theres gonna be be some bombs dropped
ALL for FREE too!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks man I actually found it finally on another site. Great fight though.
Can't wait to see Rampage win on Sat. along with Mirko and Bispbing. It's gonna be good.
I saw them and Chase Beebe impressed the hell out of me! Rani Yahya is a stud in the ground and Chase showed alot of heart to not tap to that knee bar. For the Main Event I have know idea what the hell Crunkilton was thinking banging with McCullough. I would also like to see Stann fight someone with a little better stand up before I jump on the bandwagon. All in all a great night of fights!
Randy Couture vs Gabriel Gonzaga:
Sorry Newbie been on vacation here you go...

unbeleivable F&ckin Randy "Captain America" finished off GG with a broken arm

If sherk is found guilty and stripped it should be Joe Daddy V.s BJ Penn for lightweight title.
i can't believe we have to wait until December for the welterweight title fight what a waste. to much talent to lose that much time between title fights.
so who's next for Randy????
Arlovski
Nogoria
or if they sign Fedor it would be him.
i have a lot more respect for Roger Huerta after last night that was crazy $hit using the displays to hit your opponent......
Can't wait for him to fight the iceman. That's gonna be a great one.
one of my favorite knockouts

IFLI, BKMP, SSPE, CRLJ, PELE
Oh I'm gonna have to disagree with the Rampage Henderson fight. I'm a Rampage fan and I gotta go with him. It's gonna be a great fight none the less. I agree with Randy kickin ass. Here's a fight stock, I'm not invested in it or anything, I think a few guys on this board are though. Not sure.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=4625
Anyone got a list of fighting stocks??? Oh yeah i'll put money that Henderson destroys Rampage...And i'm going for Randy all the way...But overall there is no better fighter then Fedor...AKA The worlds greatest fighter of all times!
Now this is a true champion. Respect.

LOL! Let's just leave it at the champs as of now. I like 'em all. How long each of them holds the belt is the hard part to figure out. I'm betting we won't have a poster boy like Liddell again. Way too much competition and talent out there. Especially with Pride in the mix now. Exciting times ahead.
Oops. My bad. I was thinking of Tito.
lol liddel never fought silva......well randys gonna take him down unlike mirko so he has a better shot
Agreed you can't use that whole thing of henderson beat silva and silva beat jackson so henderson should beat jackson.
if you use the same thinking Tito Ortiz should have won against Liddell, since ....... Tito beat Silva and silva beat jackson and jackson beat liddell and liddel beat couture and couture beat belfort and belfort beat ortiz and otriz beat belfort abd liddel beat belfort who beat couture and couture beat ortiz and ortiz beat cote and cote lost to lutter soooooooo..... the conclusion is Travis Lutter should be champ..........
Oh come on now. You know that stuff don't matter. Liddell beat Silva right? We'll just have to see. Anything's possible in this sport.
K so who thinks Couture is gonna hold onto his belt here??? I for one will actually probably cry if he gets ko'd.
lmao....but henderson beat silva and silva beat jackson....
JACKSON!!! All the way baby. I love the guy. Mainly cause I'm not too partial to the iceman and Rampage has raped him twice now. Plus, Rampage is a funny man. Can't wait to watch it.....For free!
Jackson or Henderson? I'm with Henderson as long as hes not out of breath and we see the dan that beat up wanderlei silva at Pride.....shame Pride was bought out :(
COUTURE, LEADING MAN
As if training for his Aug. 25 UFC 74 title defense against Gabriel Gonzaga were not enough, UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture (15-8) has managed to solidify his second career as a thespian, landing a lead role in Universal Picture’s “The Scorpion King – The Akkadian,” a prequel to the 2002 blockbuster vehicle that launched former WWE superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s acting pursuits. Couture confirmed the development with UFCjunkie.com yesterday.
Couture, 44, will play the nemesis to three children - one the younger Scorpion King - all central characters in the film. Couture’s role will shoot for five weeks in South Africa beginning in October. The film is directed by Australian veteran Russell Malcahy, who most recently helmed “Resident Evil: Extinction,” starring Milla Jovovich, due out in September.
The role will mark Couture’s third major motion picture appearance. Last summer, he played a small role in Rob Schieider's prison comedy "big Stan," due out in April 2008. In June, the UFC Hall of Famer had a speaking role in David Mamet’s “Redbelt,” revolving around the honored art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
