I don't think many people here think it is actually going to $2 but there is a bounce to happen.. soon. sure long run we're (probably) screwed but short term we're looking good
Maybe you should repeat this post.
Seems people didn't hear you
They think this is going to $2
Really?
Ch11 will bring $2 a share?
That's hilarious!
Educate yourself I little more about what happens to a company during ch 11
Bunch of misleading bs at the end of that post
Will be adding more tomorrow, cannot wait
You see it all time with stocks going through the delisting process. Once they get the Q its game time and the buyers start to come back in.
ENERQ is a buy, these shares are good I just bought on Friday and looking to sell in the next couple of weeks. Always do your own DD.
As of today ENERQ is a buy
STRONG BUY FOR Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. (ENERQ)
In Chapter 11 Cases procedures, the Debtor (Energy Conversion Devices, Inc) have 14 days max to submit to court all assets and debts defined statements, that should be done tomorrow I guess.
Filing date: Feb 14th, 2012
+14 days is Feb 28th, 2012
Tomorrow is Feb 27th, 21012
That will push the stock price up.
Timing day by day what happened with Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. historical prices, and what’s going to happen next week.
Jan 10th, 2012 ENER was trading between $0.30 and $0.33 for average of 500 thousand shares daily.
Then because of easily manipulating price due to small shares in open market, few thousand dollars where very enough to raise price to over a dollar, knowing that in a month company will file chapter11 and that price will drop.
Between Jan 17th, 2012 and Feb 13th, 2012 ENER was being shorted at a price ranging between $1.00 and $1.46 buy some people familiar with what’s going to happen the next day, even the volume was higher on Feb, 9th, 10th and 13th 2012
On Feb 14th, 2012 company files for chapter 11, then price booooom goes down, and all covers at that day with an average of $1.00 profit. (And Keep cash in hand for the following plan) 40 million shares traded that day.
Between Feb 13th and Feb 17th, 2012 the stock was like a dead cat, I personally was able to manipulate it up and down by throwing then buying 100.000 shares to raise the number of shares I bought on Feb 14th, 2012
Then on Feb 15th, 2012 a Press Release and Letter from Nasdaq that stock will be delisted on Feb 24th, 2012 the company shows no interest in listing the stock in other markets.
What going to happen next week Between Feb 21st and Feb 24th, 2012?
That cash in hand after the short covering of Feb 14th will serve to BUYBACK shares of ENER at a lower price as its trading now, so next week ENER WILL HAVE HUGE TRADING VOLUME A BUY BACK BEFORE THE DELISTING.
THEN CHAPTER 11 WILL BRING AT LEAST $2.00/SHARE AFTER SELLING THE BUSINESS.
BEST STRATEGY NOW: DON’T SELL YOUR SHARES AND HOLD FOR THE CHAPTER 11 SELLS OF BUSINESS, THE COMPANY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS 50 YEARS AND YOUR SHARES ARE WORTH MORE THAN THE MARKET PRICE.

glad i read that smoke - i was going to buy this
i'm trying to adjust my eyes because SURELY we are not up 12%.. I need new contacts
oh for sure.. I just got in a little prematurely.. ENER would need an act of god for our shares to actually be worth anything haha
I like this one for a rebound, but I intend to just trade it.
well we're up 5% on the day of delisting.. so all the doomsdayers can finally shut up!
It does seem like a shot in the dark at this point. Thats why i took a small position. However I think it is a buy and hold for at least a week with a stop loss at .10 to be safe imo.
I've been holding for about a week, but possibly adding more at this level, not sure if I want to commit more or just exit all together
did u get new shares? or did u wait till they got the Q?
Kinda quiet on this board. You would think there would be more action here. This is a bounce play for sure
Been watching this for a week now. Look how many mm's left the L2 today since the Q got slapped on. WoW!
Can't folks read? Da company has already said the common's will be canceled, and they put that out up front.
Company filed for bankruptcy but is a one of a kind company for the products they sell. This is a complete lotto. If they receive proper financing from chapter 11 then there will be a monstrous increase in share price(Possibly another ATR*). On the other hand if the company fails and becomes subject to chapter 7 then that is the death sentence and shareholders lose everything. Good luck to all here. Still looks like a great bounce play.
It will just change symbols with the Q somewhere... and institutions and such should have already sold...
Darnit and that close was looking to be so much better then dumpola again!
Will it be halted tomorrow or will we open enerq?
Probably, looks like that was their only choice, BK being so close to delisting!!!!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
It will run big on da Q
I will be out for the rest of the day... but damn!! look at that chart!! I think.. I think we might have hit a bottom, knock on wood. LETS SEE .17!
Well tomorrow it starts trading in the Q, but that might not affect the pps at all. Just keep you eyes on it and see how it trades before close. GL
I hope the run is not over yet. It might be soon because of people afraid to hold through the delisting tommorow.
So, is this stock for sure going to go on OTC from next week? Maybe I am just too new, but I wasn't sure how the 'if some money maker decides to list it on OTC' part works.
Any response would be much appreciated folks!
ENER up up an away...
This will fly out of the gate today
It did, I agree, but I couldn't take it anymore, especially since I-hub put me in the penhouse for the 3 most important days, while shorters just manipulated the stock. I've been watching ENER very closely the last 3-4 days, and it has done the exact same thing everyday. Today was no different, right towards the end of the day, the price runs up a bit and they drop it in the morning, its a double lock, if you buy in the morning you will be down all day, if you buy before close you will be down when the stock opens. The only way to traded it was when it hit the dip around lunch time and to sell before the close. If you hold the stock you get screwed no matter what. Protraders will walk it down, don't know how far down, but it seems there will be more selling taking place tomorrow before it gets delisted. Big money is controling the stock price, no way to win IMO.
once you've given up all hope (and after you decide to sell) is when we will run 500%. lol. that's just the rule! end of day today seemed optimistic

First Solar, the largest producer of solar panels through June 2010, is the biggest advocate of using Cadmium Telluride.
So far Cadmium telluride is the first and only thin film photovoltaic technology to surpass crystalline silicon PV in price per watt of peak power, but this price advantage seems to be eroding as price of raw silicon has decreased and Chinese manufacturers increase their production of multi-crystalline panels.
There are some concerns about the future of Camium Telluride based panels, specifically the very limited availability of Telluride and increased concern in Europe about long-term toxic affects of Cadmium.
To learn more about the history, manufacturing and the advantages and disadvantages of using solar panels made with Cadmium Telluride, click here.

The Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy said it conducted an appraisal of recent tests on CdTE PV modules by independent scientific institutions.
According to the analyses, it was found that if disposed of "in an improper and unprofessional way", the modules pose a threat to the environment. "The only way to rule out the risks associated with the use of cadmium in PV," explained the institute, "is to refrain from using cadmium in the first place. This requires non-toxic substitutes to be readily available, which they are (e.g. silicon-based PV)."
It went on to say that cadmium should not spread in green solar technologies, but needs to be disposed of safely. It added: "We believe similar problems may exist with lead in the silicon based modules mentioned above, although manufacturers of those modules have expressed their desire to comply with RoHS legislation should this be directed."
The scientists backing the institute include:
• Prof. Joao Pedro Alpuim, University of Minho, Portugal
• Dr. Stephan Bannas, Theodor Wessels Prize Laureate, Germany
• Dr. Daniel Dahm, Federation of German Scientists, German Association of the Club of Rome
• Dr. Antonin Fejfar, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Czech Republic
• Prof. Takashi Fuyuki, Nara Institute of Sciences, Japan
• Prof. George E. Georghiou, University of Cyprus, Cyprus
• Prof. Martin Green, University of New South Wales, Australia
• Yutaka Hayashi, National Institute of AIST, Japan
• Prof. Ferdinand Hucho, Free University of Berlin, Germany
• Prof. Tadashi Saitoh, Tokyo Agricultural & Technical University, Japan
• Prof. Ruud Schropp, University of Utrecht, Netherlands
• Dr. Markus Schubert, University of Stuttgart, Germany
• Prof. Jürgen H. Werner, University of Stuttgart, Germany
For its part, First Solar confesses to have in 2009 given out between €100,000 and €150,000 for lobbying purposes. According to reports, the PV company is also being represented by the law firm Kuhbier and is supported by the controversial PR agency Burson-Marsteller.

"Many analysts have predicted an increase in demand for tellurium, a key ingredient in First Solar's panels, and one of the rarest substances on Earth. If tellurium demand rises (and the potential of ENER's phase-change memory product, which contains tellurium, will be a factor), First Solar's costs will go through the roof and Uni-Solar will become one of the leading thin-film producers.
