Patience is the key here in this sector by end of year when all the laws and regulations are final that’s when we’ll see real money. Don’t get me wrong you can make money all the way but Big money by end of year beginning of next IMO GLTA

I love this in regards to dosing:
"They also cite research by Greenwich Biosciences that alleges that CBD is potentially toxic to the liver – a finding that has been disputed by the CED Foundation, who note that the mice in the study were given the human equivalent of 42,050 milligrams of CBD, which they called “an unreasonable amount.”
“In the days where many people are taking 10mg pills of CBD per day, the amounts of CBD that were force-fed to these animals in this study, if translated to humans, would be 4,305mg, 12,915mg, and 43,050mg over 10 days, or 17,220mg, 51,660mg, and 172,200mg in one-shot doses.),” the foundation wrote in a June 20 rebuttal to a Forbes article by Mike Adams. “For reference, these days, most dispensaries sell CBD in doses of 10mg, 20mg, up to 2-300mg.)”

Terrible law. The point of the law would be that it’s a drug first, which would make sense, but in this case it wasn’t. But there should be some pathways here soon if the fda don’t f it up.
btw I am long. Just explaining the Fed issue. Or trying to. I think it will resolve successfully for us.
Yes - illegally in the eyes of the Feds.
MJNA have been selling it legally since 2012 in certain states.
Yes, but it's been sold illegally - but without enforcement. So now the Feds are trying to create a legal and coherent framework.
I don’t really get the FDA approved drug blocking the ability to put it into the food supply considering CBD has been sold and used as a consumer good prior to that FDA approval.
Progress in Congress:
The FDA amendment, introduced by Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-CA), was approved as part of an en bloc voice vote combining other relatively noncontroversial measures and it did not receive debate on the floor. The measure aims to resolve a problem that the FDA has repeatedly raised since hemp and its derivatives were federally legalized under the 2018 Farm Bill.
Because CBD exists as an FDA-approved drug and has never been allowed in the food supply before, the agency’s former commissioner said Congress may have to pass separate legislation to provide for its lawful marketing.
The amendment’s description directs FDA to “undertake a process to make lawful a safe level for conventional foods and dietary supplements containing cannabidiol (CBD) so long as the products are compliant with all other FDA rules and regulations.”

I think, ironically, the FDA process will end up putting ELLXF in a good spot. They are almost acting as a moat to keep out some of the big player till there is clarity. During that time ELLXF gets to press it's first mover advantage. ELLXF looks like it should be safe from the FDA in terms of claims & production processes/quality. Plus we have no risk exposure with CBD and food. The pet market - I mean its cats and dogs - let's experiment on Fido! lol. Then it comes down to supplements vs drugs - and I think they will bifurcate the market here with GWPH type drugs on one path and ELLXF supplements on the other.

Can someone summarize what we're supposed to garner from the ask for a halt and the news? Big drop the past week here but business seems to be growing rapidly.
Thank you.
