I'm not surprised that Ekso device got this clearance while others have not.
I'd point to the fact that EksoNR senses and responds hundreds of times per second. This, combined with Ekso's integration of Functional Electronic Stimulation (FES) speak volumes to me. I think their work in these areas shows the way they approach the problem. I think they are deeply concerned with the nerve signaling and being able to work in similar frequency regimes.
If you recognize this as value through the understanding the biomechanics, I think you'll see Ekso's value. Their stock has a major discrepancy (even still I'd contend) between value and price. This price is not the fault of the company, but the lack of investors who can't possibly recognize or understand why the value exists.
Now we have bump from FDA clearance, but what is really going behind the FDA rationale and why Ekso has the better products is really the more important picture to me.
Even so, if your truly LONG - you may still well come out ahead in the future.
If this is a rocket launch, I'd say these are just the ignition sparks.
Netflix's Space Force episode 5 has the crux of the episode featured around picking the right exoskeleton. Pretty cool.

P.S. A recent Voices From DARPA epidosde was about vagus nerve signaling via stimulation and how this might be able to treat diabetes, ptsd, rls, irritable bowel - and is already approved for depression and epilepsy. I don't mean to get off topic, just to say that our understanding in nerve signaling in relation to medicine (as Ekso is involved in) is moving very rapidly and could be an entirely new paradigm being ushered in. I don't see other exoskeleton companies as being as far ahead as Ekso in this regard.
Yes, this has been a satisfying run.....
Made some coin yesterday now bought more staying long. EKSO prices is nothing compared to what they will be.
Nice follow through today, so far, after yesterday's huge pop!
Let me know when this garbage stock hits $78 so I can break even.
420 does short f-- hem this can go to 60 someday its helping people be better are good tec ps stock go way up to pay back investors when they hit home runs and i think the ball is over the fence
I'm guessing tomorrow will be even bigger. I think that I've noticed that big news takes a couple days to fully penetrate for this microcap.
Lord knows what a Mad Money appearance would do for our stock (god help Jim Cramer fans)

Up over 40% afterhours, I won't need that one for now but i'll stick it in my pocket for later =)
Just wait till the news starts to spread
If it was a means to an end, I don't blame them so much longer term.
In this case, I don't see another option of how they would have even survived as a company to last long enough to get to this point.
Or at least I'll give them the benefit of the doubt just as long as good news keeps coming. Today's a good start.

Nope...not short, nor a Bull. Just sad situation for retail just 5 months ago.(I'm sure you remember) I always thought there was a lot of potential, but when the Company washes out retail via RS & Dilution only to run it up later on to reward their Institional investors when they see fit is really sad.
Let me guess, you are short currently? That's a lot of trolling and not a whole lot of facts/rationale
LOL..Only took a nose dive SP and RS before rewarding their Tutes months later according to their plan. Short the shot out of this SOON!

$EKSO insane move on FDA approval news https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ekso-bionics-receives-fda-clearance-123010624.html
Indeed a game changer! This should get more eyes on the company. I don't get how 45m can trade with what 4.5 float. It was not so much fun yesterday when the market makers went through all my bids yesterday except 1 at $3.02 felt like I was on and island but I gave him back those shares at $6.50 today.
MONUMENTAL NEWS!!!! I believe FDA approval for such a broad category will make network healthcare deals much more feasible.
The show Space Force acknowledges picking the right exoskeleton is key.
Functional Electronic Stimulation is a total game changer.
Vagus nerve stimulation is approved for epilepsy and depression right now, but the folks at DARPA suggest that it might be possible for it to treat a wide variety of disorders including: PTSD, Irritable Bowel, and Restless Leg Syndrome, and even Diabetes. The brain controls a ton of functions with electronic stimulation and medicine has been slow to tap into this resource in general. Ekso's FES is a bit different, but the point that it's a quickly progressing technology and that nerve stim does way more than almost everyone thought previously.
Last time there was monumental news, my recollection is that it took a little while to get media attention and actually the following day was even bigger - just because so few people caught on the first day comparatively.

FDA approval on this model should have them leading the way in this space. This is big, this stock is going work out very well over the next 3-6 months, can you wait.
They were brain damaged to even get involved with the Chinese in the first place. Anyone with two firing neurons could tell which way the winds were blowing at that point.
I've been watching closely still and I have to say- I couldn't be more excited to see what do Ekso does next.
The latest direct offering seems to have come a bit earlier than I was expecting and it seems likely to me this relates to alternate plans regarding the CFIUS decision.
I think there's a decent chance EksoUE can develop into an at-home product MUCH faster than an ambulatory exoskeleton feasibly can. The shift to UE makes me rethink the broader concepts too.
I'm starting to put together a theoretical case in my mind for why it might be that upper body exoskeleton function is largely more important (in terms of order of importance in a combat situation) than lower body function for soldiers.
It seems to me people's shoulders largely point their guns (the same line of sight reasons your eyes are near the top of your body) and their legs are only secondary to getting their shoulders in the right place at the right time.
I sort of imagine what was found in the last batch of exoskeleton testing is that you can reduce metabolic activities for movement and that's fine and dandy, but the second the operator goes into a combat environment and is doing a lot of upper body repositioning - perhaps the lower body stuff can't handle it with out more coordinated upper body robotic functionalization.
More broadly, it's possible even lower body rehabilitation will be shown to be more effective while simultaneously having upper extremity rehabilitation. I think gaits are really the whole body, not just the legs.
Going into UE for rehab seems it would be a good way for some insights that translate into their work making defense industry UE parts. A win-win.

You certainly hit the nail on the head... I guess it was to be expected, but dilution is never pleasant. I hope this offering brought aboard some worthwhile institutions and that this fund raise covers whatever cost might be associated with untangling the Chinese JV and keeps them afloat for quite awhile. The feds need to have a good reason for the CFIUS decision and that reason better include a DOD contract!
There you go...I had a feeling also. I would have liked to get shares in the PP to receive those warrants. But it is what it is, should give them enough run way for awhile.
What a nice feeling to no longer ponder whether I should buy more to decrease my average price per share... Now, pretty please, stay above $5.00 and let heavyweight institutional buyers take heed and come aboard!
Porsche, the way I see it is the price action in the recent past had a lot to do with the ability by nefarious actors (shorts sellers and their ilk) to manipulate Ekso’s stock price because it’s a “penny” stock. Please let this stock soon rise above $5 and let’s get the institutions aboard. A rise to $5 would only require a market cap of around $29,200,000. Come on, that should be easily attainable. One good quarter where we close the sales lost due to Covid and we’re back in the game at a much higher price. Add in any meaningful government contract and we become the second American company to head into orbit this year. I know I sound optimistic, but I am. As for today, a close above $4 would be a pleasantry.
Eksobeans: you made my day, that took courage. I take that for granite it was very easy for me. After 40 years in the mkt it seen the movie, and this is the 1st in 40 that I printed the 52 week low (so far) on one of my investments. We would say only God gets the top and bottom print and I'm not worthy. We still have some head winds...this management team appears solid, it was the previous management that lasted only a short time that deserved that criticisms. Good luck
I do love the news. Don’t know the source, but sure do like the message. I decided to go all in after the split and, thus far, I’m glad that I did. This is a solid company with excellent products for today and the future. The blow we took from the CIFIUS determination to not allow the joint venture may be a blessing in disguise. In my most rosy daydream the government came down so hard because they want to use Ekso’s technology on their military exoskeleton application. A man can dream...
Best Healthcare Robotics award for 2020 Medtech...gotta love it. This might be a couple day catalyst for upward move.
You could be right, but I hope they wrap it with a new JV and they should have enough cash for at least 3 more quarters. The next Q should show how much they have adapted to the current situation with the zooms and cloud service mgt., CRM's etc... the way she's trading something is percolating. Most technicians are looking for $5.50-70 if by lucky chance she gets through that number, I doubt it with the lack of good news.
They are great when it comes to PR’ing bad news. Next one will be an offering.
Please view RWLK news, another example of EKSO bad PR. This news is for all exoskeletons. This is along time coming, and really big.
Would love to see that today. Usually up the am down into the close. Can't get excited until a close above $4.25 with some volume. She is trading much better I must say.
Now, if we could just hold those gains and continue to move upward.
Best to all,
WW
To all the Longs if any left, it looks like the Mr. Market has thrown everything it can...R/S, lose of JV, COVID Qtr. with more coming. I submit this is one of the most hated stocks under $5.00. This stock has crushed people with even some calling the selling as harvesting. This stock has crushed even the shorts from time to time. What I would like to express to what few longs that are left. This company is going to make it and the stock is telling you that. Mr. Market would gladly take her to a $1 and we would be going through the same RWLK dance. This mgt. has adapted... the PP loan was smart no rush to raise funds. Now do you think with the press the CFIUS decision got could just maybe someone in this great country or my choice Mexico rang EKSO up to try to fill that hole. Good traders are scarce, so I'm following myself.
If going to sell to our military they cannot be made in china. Even if VA buys them for rehabilitation as well.
I'm not all that surprising, I believe they saw the military/Aerospace applications and said no way can't transfer this technology reverse-engineering is too easy. This should pretty much piss off many shareholders off, it will be interesting at what price the buyers come in. The company can do a work around, making the press is good thing shows CFIUS flexing its muscle in a short time they'll be others.
We're in the Wall Street Journal at least:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-panel-orders-breakup-of-california-exoskeleton-firms-venture-with-chinese-investors-11590019513
Halted JV "should not have a material impact on our operations during the remainder of 2020.”
So there's that.
Perhaps Ekso's role with the DoD is not finished.
Maybe it's also a blessing in disguise to get out before China tensions heat up any further.
Profit margins have been on a nice path upwards regardless.
I'm not sure how I feel, but might view this as a buying opportunity depending what price does short term

Yeah, lateral growth is important from the business end of things too.
I would also imagine that Ekso having more rehabilitation product offerings in general will have a positive effect for healthcare network deals; lowering costs through volume. Network provider deals appear to be a critical focus from management right now, so I'm happy to see this video showcasing the product.
There's also the perspective of how EksoUE will be affected by insurance policies looking further forward. Unpowered exoskeleton rehabilitation coverage may well be easier/simpler/cheaper for insurance providers to afford, at least compared to gait therapy devices. On the other hand, EksoNR has a lot of clinical data to go on....As a third option, there's also a possibility of exoskeleton rehabilitation getting covered more broadly down the middle too.
EksoUE seems to me like it has a much more clear entrance path to the home market compared point compared to battery powered gait therapy robotics (that would have the potential to leave someone stranded without power). It's almost sort of absurd to me, thinking back, that other companies tried to make gait therapy an at-home product so early on. I think they sort of got over-excited and Ekso's slow and steady pace going from inpatient to at-home will prove to be the winning strategy.

Who knows?!
The idea of having passive shoulder and elbow gravity compensating aids is not a new one. Having it be a mobile vest for adults is new. We have seen half a dozen of these for kids in the past.
It is hard to say if the EksoUE will be a success or even, what would we define success to look like for a product like that. For example, it may not sell many units but introduce Ekso Bionics' other products to more people, would that be a success?
My personal opinion is that there aren't enough new people being introduced to exoskeletons who then want to come back to learn more on the subject, and I think the EksoUE might get more people interested.
Bobby is this as bad ass as it looks, John Hopkins adds a bit of creditability, at least R & D is still on the job.
