imo i say right on with short term on alternative energies.
never know which way is which. 3 yrs in da flow and not much done.
i will make sure in ibox.
there are updates done but dunno if they are all valid.
re;
Took a recent profitable ride on PEIX.
This market is way to difficult not to take profits on runs for BIOF and PEIX. Obviously there could be some big short term gains to be had but I am chicken about this market.
BIOF should get about $15 million additional revenue from their new corn oil recovery manufacturing process. I have a pretty decent source in the industry that tells me that number is what the equipment will cost so after the first year it should be a very nice boost to income.
I also like PEIX because California is so tough on manadating emissions control and I am also interested in how successful their cellulose ethanol production might be.

IF that is the case, that's berry cool!
o.k., i wonder what price of moonshine cost in ky.?
o.k. on this, got stickied now...thanx read above gates owns part of peix?
booze cost more to run a car than reg. gasoline...in term of $ per gal. LOL!
almost as good as booze? lol...i updated ibox but maybe some are grey.
"Ethanol is made by fermenting and then distilling starch and sugar crops -- maize, sorghum, potatoes, wheat, sugar-cane, even cornstalks, fruit and vegetable waste."
I think a lot of S. American nations will use (some already used) Ethanol. due to there large maize and sugar-cane plantations...
great balls of fire...thanx.
ok, will keep my eyes open on it
i'd cover all cause i think 2012 is going be yr. that obama pushes hard to get programs adjusted.
OK, will do- just ethanol in general?
thank you lots, if get any news please share.
i updated ibox but dunno if all good.
is this one valid NP? EBOF

i will go below and see whatzzz there.
would like to help here my friend?
afxm said looks good.
Thank you but i will have to pass for now. :)
thank you, got time to assist here? could getzzz interesting in 2012.
Nothing specific, but i think with the holiday week, the market being down so much today it is no wonder things are down. iI think peix will go right back up to the 1.50 range with a nice green day.
hi glassy, any updates on ethanol stuff?
need to check on some greens. peix seems to be hot one recently.
charting these ethanol ones seem to be downtrend.
looks like obama greens still on go.

Ethanol
Ethanol is an alcohol-based alternative fuel produced by fermenting and distilling starch crops that have been converted into simple sugars. Feedstocks for this fuel include corn, barley, and wheat. Ethanol can also be produced from "cellulosic biomass" such as trees and grasses and is called bioethanol. Ethanol is most commonly used to increase octane and improve the emissions quality of gasoline
What is ethanol?
Ethanol is made by fermenting and then distilling starch and sugar crops -- maize, sorghum, potatoes, wheat, sugar-cane, even cornstalks, fruit and vegetable waste.
The benefits
Ethanol is a much cleaner fuel than petrol (gasoline):
It is a renewable fuel made from plants
It is not a fossil-fuel: manufacturing it and burning it does not increase the greenhouse effect
It provides high octane at low cost as an alternative to harmful fuel additives
Ethanol blends can be used in all petrol engines without modifications
Ethanol is biodegradable without harmful effects on the environment
It significantly reduces harmful exhaust emissions
Ethanol's high oxygen content reduces carbon monoxide levels more than any other oxygenate: by 25-30%, according to the US EPA
Ethanol blends dramatically reduce emissions of hydrocarbons, a major contributor to the depletion of the ozone layer
High-level ethanol blends reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 20%
Ethanol can reduce net carbon dioxide emissions by up to 100% on a full life-cycle basis
High-level ethanol blends can reduce emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) by 30% or more (VOCs are major sources of ground-level ozone formation)
As an octane enhancer, ethanol can cut emissions of cancer-causing benzene and butadiene by more than 50%
Sulphur dioxide and Particulate Matter (PM) emissions are significantly decreased with ethanol.
How does it work?
Ethanol is a very high octane fuel, replacing lead as an octane enhancer in gasoline.
Fuels that burn too quickly make the engine "knock". The higher the octane rating, the slower the fuel burns, and the less likely the engine will knock.
When ethanol is blended with gasoline, the octane rating of the petrol goes up by three full points, without using harmful additives.
Adding ethanol to gasoline "oxygenates" the fuel, adding oxygen to the fuel mixture so that it burns more completely and reduces polluting emissions such as carbon monoxide.
Ethanol and ETBE oxygenator, made from ethanol, are much safer than the toxic and polluting MTBE fossil-fuel-derived oxygenator used by oil companies.
Fact >
One acre of corn can pruduce enough ethanol to run a car for 72,000 miles on E-10 Unleaded.
