Looking at both the 1 month and 3 month charts, one would think it is long overdue for a flip in the opposite direction. But these things are difficult to predict and time properly. The Markets overall do not indicate any pending reversal anytime soon.
The problem I have seen is the speed of any Market reaction is usally so severe, that timing these 3X ETF's is really tough to do. If you get caught on the wrong side, without a stop loss in place it can become very painful.
Good Luck...
Still watching this. So far in upper 7's.
A nice opportunity developing for a quick technical reversal or short term 'trade flip' (& not necessarily a full trend reversal in the RSX, but a short term trade possible developing)
I agree, oils gonna kill their market.
Got some RUSS at 12.84 to supplement my oil short. Equities high on central bank bs. Good entry point here IMO.
I am watching for an opening here as well. In my opinion it needs to stay above $13.07. That is the recent low...established on 6/8/16. If it can stay above that, it might rebound and present an opportunity.
But next week is critical for all Markets, which will impact the performance of many ETF's, including this one. If the post Brexit rally continues, then this will fall further.
The upcoming week will be a very interesting to say the least!!,...with a very important Job's Report on Friday.
Good Luck!
Quiet board of late but opening my eyes here and watching
Out of this today since 15.70 on a protective trailing-stop-loss (from 14.76).
Same with GASX, but lost some on GASX while made a gain here on RUSS.
I'll look to re-enter later on them.
Due to be great reversal candidates eventually but for now they appear to be forming one more leg downard.
Right on. RUSS under 14.80 approx for starter position looks reasonable to me.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=122022568
I've already started a position into GASX, similarly affected by crude oil & energy as RUSS.
I also like BZQ prospects.
Going into season of 'sell in May' with Oil likely topping out in mid-40's approx along with an overbought stock market on a hot stretch since February, it would seem accumulating positions in GASX, RUSS, BZQ are great speculative ideas, especially since they short such risky market areas in addition to their Oil exposures.
Now this RUSS is starting to get interestingly cheap again.
Been waiting for a while for this potential developing opportunity.
(along with GASX, BZQ, DWTI)
I'm still holding those that I bought earlier. 21$ ish....
It isn't like UWTI where you have huge decay. It'll be back up. Oil will be back down, US$ back up and Rouble back to 70.
But $16 is indeed quite interesting for a quick 25%...
OK, I f-ed up that call again but now this has got to be good to buy. JMO though.
RUSS becoming nicely oversold.
Really looking tempting here.
But weary of the Crude Oil API data report out today along with EIA tomorrow (Wednesday April 13), so being cautious a bit yet.
Also similarly watching GASX & BZQ as market funds affected by energy.
GASX hitting at & below my 15 area I've been waiting for as possible.

Hope someone picked up some of this. It could be cheap. Ive got a small glob but Im down a little at this price.
Honestly i don't think the FED will increase rate this year at all. The risk of deflation is a lot bigger then inflation, also everybody in the world want to have a weaker dollar (except japan). A weaker dollar will mean growth in South America (Brasil etc), Russia (as inflation will drop and oil price will raise). So nobody wants a stronger dollar, even europe doesn't want it.
What are you saying? USD has already dropped a whopping several percent and the Fed announced there will still be TWO rate hikes in 2016, i.e., over the remaining 8 months of this year.
This one will keep on dropping till oil is close to $60. I don't see any reason why oil will drop again. Bank of Russia left interest rate unchanged, so it will support the rouble, and with no intrested rates on the card for the FED, the dollar should start crashing lower.
Yes, I agree. Big short squeeze in commodities looks to be over. Fundamentals still look bad for oil prices. Strong dollar will still pressure emerging markets IMO. Seems almost like someone trying to push people out of this trade.
Very tempting here. Gonna watch for awhile longer though. Oil could go to $36-38 if this bs rally continues through next week.
I got some today, not quite at lows, but close. It's been a great insurance or hedge bet if one is long equities, notice this topped out on 8/24 and 1/20 when spy bottomed out. So hard to tell where things go from here, with US equities anyhow, but think the ruble and russia have 1 place to go from here unless huge oil/nat gas recovery, which I don't see happening. Options prices seem expensive, so just got shares this time, so won't lose on decay if oil and RUSS hang out here for a bit.
Anyone else buying? I picked up some shares today
Ah, there it is. Thank You.
http://english.alarabiya.net/en/business/banking-and-finance/2016/02/26/Washington-advises-US-banks-to-avoid-Russian-bonds.html
Russians had to increase bond rates to find buyers, affecting Rubble.
Not complaining!
Happy trades!
It works inversely with the RSX. Lately that has been all about oil and the ruble against the dollar.
Except for today. Oil up but RSX down, haven't figured out why yet. Might be the currency.
I'm eyeballing this again. Might be worth picking up a few hundred shares.
My take is that this fund has nothing to do with Russia and will go up or down with DJIA. If Russia sanctions are lifted don't you think that will drive oil down big time?
I'm in RUSL, the bullish side. Up nicelly today so far. Just wondering why, Ruble still 78ish, Brent mid 32$....
Any explanation?
BTW, i wouldn't buy RUSS now. Sanctions against Russia about to be lifted by US and by France....
Happy trades!
Yup. Still watching this. And it is still a dog. Didn't have any when it took off around the first the year so now I picked up a few shares yesterday only to watch it fall sharply. I'll probably sell to cut losses and then watch it skyrocket North.
Hello hello hello. Is there anybody out there? Just nod if you can here me. Is there anyone home?
Breaking resistance pre market. Could see a nice run here if oil continues its free fall.
This seems to get played like a stock. MMs run it down to pick up stops when it looks good for a run up.
Played this twice this year with a 7% stop. Got kicked out both times. Then it ran higher. Any suggestions?

Up nearly $5 so far. Doubt it gets to $45. To sell or not to sell.... tonight's inventories will be decisive for cl_f.....
oil prices breaking down
this is pullibg Russian stocks down like RSX...the oil chart looks awful and nay move back into $30 on WTI...that could push RUSS back above $45 near term
AHA! I had the signal right I just got the timing wrong. I'm going to hold for awhile.
OK, I pulled the trigger. Price may go down a little today and/or tomorrow but I think we'll be happy here by Friday.
Haven't picked mine up yet. I took the $28 premarket price swing as a kind of batshit signal that MMs would swing the price down to just under $29 after 10:00 CDT. I calculate anything under $30 is a steal. JMO
Did same at 29.25....
Got back in last time it went to $35 then got out at $42. I think I'll keep my eye on this if it goes down to $35 again.
You know what? I surprised myself buying back in here twice. It's a pretty decent hedge against oil downsides. 37$ - 38$ is paydirt these days. Stoploss at 36$.
Finally got rid of this DOG and was able to make a decent profit. Took a hell of a long time, though.... oouuuffffff. Buyer beware here!
