is good for short term quick in and out,
based on daily and weekly charts, there is a high probability for a market correction after a good run for the last two months

Clearly, TZA has been doing some serious climbing recently. Combined with $SPX's $SML chart (which I posted earlier today), there is definitely a sense that Small Caps are getting ready to roll down.

However, technically, I am always looking for the false signals in any break-out pattern. And, sure enough, I have found a few technical events (bearish channel validation, Moving Average resistance, concerted indicators signaling overbought conditions) that may speak against a true break-out, at least so far.

Following is the technical annotation I provided within the chart:

25 MAR 2010 - TECH-NOTE: Watch for dominant DTC and reproducible patterns of "fake rallies", that just further validated that bearish channel. Breakout should occur once upper border of that channel has been violated, IMHO.

More specifically, consider:
1 - "Pre-Decline Pattern" formation
2 - 233-EMA remains "true" historical moving resistance still

Doug wish I did know a good land agent for oil gas. I use to bid on federal and State Wy. BLM back in 60's and 70's. Did get a few Shell just reworked a well we have int.in in Converse CO WY.

What states are you looking for or doesn't it matter. I can check
some old sources if I can locate them

Will spend part of day renegotiating a US Cellular lease, They came at us just before our tripto AZ. Want to reduce the rent but also want 1strightof refusal and a lockedin option to expand the site. The renet is not that much and we get to crop around the tower, its just the idea of them wanting to much. I am thinking I'll tell themtomove it.The land IMO has a higher and better use as a commercial site. Now adjoins city sewer and H20 on 4 lane hyway.

Well I have had the best minds in country work with me during my yuoth as I fell into the role of a major futures trader i CHOSE focusing on chart formations was my preferences so I see it 50-51 as first of three gaps. Breakaway then measuring then blow off. Granted I was a hi octane futures trader but still the same ideas work here. A PRIORIS YIELD ERHE WILL GAP .75 RUN TO .985 RECOIL A BIT THEN GAP THE BUCK. Finally topping 1.20 area before a maelstrom of selling kicks her back to min 1.00. K sera sera.

Now after I matured I ended up on Wall Street and was Custodian of many EFTS and Direxion EFTs incl so they caught my eye so use them to play broad mkt. They been fine real good liquidity.

Doug if it is a Run away break it does not have to fill, the only gap which doesn't fill. Run aways requires real news,that is what is needed. If not we fill the .50

Thanks Doug the reason I use the Rydex shorts is the 403B my wife has. Then I just did the same with IRA's and Roths. Probably should do the etf's in those so as not to have the day lag in and out

Truth of it is I think I see a downward wedge(bullish pattern of consolidation) in erhe that can be smashed to upside and ought be. And the resulting move can be expected to threaten .90. I honestly think erhe may break the buck and that alone will add .25 as she does a blow off top THEN SELL ALL YOU GOT at 1.25 cause it must retest the breakout.

I read it a bona fide bull right now but have a dose of scepticism. I mean its certainly due a major run so I'd like to believe. But .60 needs to hold. This coming week is going to be revealing cause support and resistence line converge and a confession can be expected in terms of price. I want the bull to win.

The best ever short when you are ready is TZA now that one has been driven below .20 RSI way over sold. Its essentially shorting the Russell 2000, wheras BGZ is a S&P 500 short.

Doug yes BGU is a blow off top and may have one more on Monday. The Plung Protection Team has run tthe market up almost every Monday for several months. So I expect a run Monday After this a day or 2 and we head all markets down to DOW 8800-9200 area

As for ERHE I have long suspected Mark as a member of a group who are trading. IMO this time it may have just been at the time some actual news is to come as was reported awhile back by JDZ that it would be.

Vol dried up and he made the post so next day small 1/2 cent gap which appears to be arun away gap as it cameof "news" If news is not valid then it is a break away gap and will fill. IMO if no real news by Wed we fall tofill the gap. Then wait for news as to lease of 2 new EEZ parcels to who? mean while rumors and pops and drops until the then actual news does arrive.. JMO How do you read it?

I am selling BGU manana since I have so much gain in it I dont care where but I have it offered at 57.10 right now assuming real mania continues. You want to own BGZ and TZA very soon. They are shorts on steroids. We will see what FTSE is early tommy and decide strategy

Conversely I NOT sell erhe here at all she has much more upside since overbought removed. Capice? Erhe still can be expected to gap up sometime next few weeks. Unless she fills that gap at .50-.51 then I am a ragdoll for years and will call this a Nigerian scam and a notable pump and dump by a volunteer need I say more

I'm in some AMZN PUTS right for a few days. It was so hard to hold the line this morning as the market was going up. Everything I see on the charts shows that the market want to go down more yet we see headfakes to the upside like this morning.


I feel it was AAPL alone holding up this deck of cards. I won't be surprised to see the DOW go all the way down to 9300. This should spell good news for those 3X bears. LOL

Hi, 3x!

Looking at the overall chart, I would have expected yet another bounce off of the MACD's trendline. HOWEVER, the one discreet event that contradicts all other patterns is the fact the on last occasion when MACD tested its support, the histogram declined towards the zero-line - as compared to the prior event where it would rally upwards.

Additionally, looking at the standard indicators:
- Both RSI and MACD remains in a protracted negative divergence with SPX;
- Last RSI rally failed the critical 70-level, indicative of market internal weakening in SPX;
- FAZ posted a double dip, adding credence to above expectation of likely market reversal to the down side.

Finally, the expansion/contraction patterns posted on 12 JAN 2010 seem to continue to develop as expected, with recent MAX Expansion on that day heralding a likely market decline ahead. I think that we are there, IMHO:
