did you notice
FAS is still holding up by its 20 and 100 dma,
once they are broken, it will drop below 7 easily
Nice timeline. FAS seems to validate its bearish channel pretty well.

How the 19 Banks do after 2 days Stress Test Scorecard Released
Re: ERX
Agreed. I can imagine an exhaustion gap at the open tomorrow (i.e.: a last deep market inhalation before a renewed subaquatic decline), but I agree with you here as well: it is not likely to go pass the upper down-channel border ("... the top of solid red channel ...").
D.
dalcindo, ERX is getting close
to the top of solid red channel, and CC is showing neg. divergence so the chance to go down is getting higher,
thanks for the chart and TA analysis, have a nice Mother day
Re: ERX - Guarded
Hi, 3xBuBa!
I remain guarded on this one. ERX did skyrocketed lately (comparative insert below price chart), but signs of fatigue are showing:
1 - RSI congesting towards 70, but fails to reach > 70, so far;
2 - ERX and counter-trendlines form a convergence-high (convergence-high = bearish, just my empirical observation);
3 - Negative divergence formed in secondary indicators;
4 - DI(+) retracing, crossed < ADX
9-Mo., Daily Chart:

ERX showing strong uptrend momentum here

U.S. is a puppet of private bankers
Hi Buddy,
I need a good bet.
Thinking in FAZ, but when ? And at what price ?
This can go ballistic If they're forced to nationalized all banks.
Take care my friend.

The Ending Death Spiral For Financials
http://www.forbes.com/2009/03/26/geithner-bernanke-citigroup-personal-finance-financial-advisor-network-goldman-sachs.html?partner=yahootix
Toxic debts racked up by banks and insurers could spiral to $4 trillion, new forecasts from the International Monetary Fund are set to suggest, British daily The Times reported on its website without citing sources.
The IMF said in January that it expected the deterioration in U.S.-originated assets to reach $2.2 trillion by the end of next year.
But it is understood to be looking at raising that to $3.1 trillion in its next assessment of the global economy, due to be published on April 21, the newspaper reported.
In addition, it is likely to boost that total by $900 billion for toxic assets originated in Europe and Asia, the Times said.
Bank stocks came under pressure on Monday after Michael Mayo, a former Deutsche Bank analyst who now works for CLSA's Calyon Securities, highlighted the risks in the sector in a research note.
Mayo, who is widely respected for his timely calls in the sector, remains negative on the sector and is starting coverage at Calyon with "sell" or "underperform" ratings on 11 traditional U.S. bank stocks. His earnings forecasts for the sector also are below the average estimates of other Wall Street analysts.
"While certain mortgage problems are farther along, other areas are likely to accelerate, reflecting a rolling recession by asset class," Mayo says, in the research note.
"New government actions might not help as much as expected, especially given that loans have been marked down to only 98 cents on the dollar, on average," he added.
Mayo expects the recession to persist and to put further pressure on commercial real estate loans.

yea things are ok. I'll send you an email.
we can talk about some ideas
As it's been here with the 3X, just have to go by what the market is like on any given trading session, it's risky to hold them overnight. The financials are the ones to watch into these earnings all month starting.
After that I think financials will finally lose some of the spotlight..
Hi Ronnie, everything fine ?
I have new phone number, will be more than happy to talk with you again.
3X is a good bet, If we know how to handle it...
Not so easy...
Actually I'm 100% in gold coins but I may play some money in 3X ETF
Glad I found you, board marked...
I like TZA (small caps have no liquidity, no cash) to short these Goldman sachs crooks who own Wall street.

I plan to scoop up some
cheap FAS this afternoon
for M2M vote tomorrow
i would place stops around 21.95-21.97
it appears safe enough to watch and sell at market at the first sign of a drop.
Appears very tight stops on FAZ are in order...
I am long FAZ overnight, and the banks are going to open slightly down. Window Dressing is over and some funds will sell.
by noon i will be out of FAZ, however..
because they will rally the turds for M2M.
I will not touch FAZ until after bank earnings. Guys, the accountants are bought and paid for. With M2M loosening retro-active to the 1st Q, they can use "significant judgement" in determining their own values for these "assets". Artificially inflated earnings are possible. You do not want to be long FAZ tomorrow and for the next couple weeks if adjustments are made to M2M.
Now, if M2M changes fail, that's another story.
The FASB meeting starts tomorrow at 8am.
Hello RonnieD, I'm thinking the cheapness should be limited to the support trendline on the below 30-minute chart of FAZ.
Check out the up volume in the last half hour of trading today...
could be cheaper than 19.5 tomorrow
nobody knows with this and FAS.
can't always be a stickler for price.. 21 now
hmm
it ran away from me,
my order is @19.5
its a tough play with the FASB thing coming up.
i did add at 19.93
Mark-to-Market Lobby Buoys Bank Profits 20% as FASB May Say Yes

i just grabbed some FAZ. Looking for late session financial profit taking. Unsure if I will hold overnight.
FAS holding up @6.25 for the last two days

got some cheap BAC call

i sold my BAC puts about an hour ago, gave FAZ more chance, put a stop market at 32.50 support break - OUT.

FAZ Apr 2009 30.0000 call (FAYDF) @9.5 for 40% gain

I am banking on it, hope so. Planning on staying long financial puts and FAZ until later in the afternoon.
Profit taking and Quad Witching.
Inordinate number of calls at high strikes both equity and index will not be paid.
But I won't carry FAZ into Monday.

What's the trade?
Jon Najarian suggests a higher risk play – he suggests long the Financial Bull 3x ETF [FAS 2.64 -0.11 (-4%) ] which is triple long ahead of the mark-to-market hearing.
