Really tough market because of the geo political problems in Egypt. Yet we are still up waiting on approval. The last 10 minutes today will be interesting.

nice to see that DEPO is up now, but I wouldn't go singing praise and being giddy until the "fat lady stop singing". Thats me anyway. To each is own. I rather wait till its all over before start jumping for joy. Call me pessimistic, but thats how I do it. Things can take a turn for the worse, and then my joy would be short-lived. However, I would really like to see us get approved and get a pop. I'm long Feb $7.50 calls that I bought for $1.05, so I would be very happy if I can come out of this even. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Because of ABT's unexpected move, the always-difficult decision for shareholders—to sell on the news or hold long term—just got much more challenging.

I think it comes down to the old "trader vs. investor" discussion: I admit that I'm merely a lowly trader and assuming approval will take what I can immediately after.

I agree. But I will add that because of the situation you mention, this can be a much steadier rise in pps as things get lined up. Making the overall trader's profitability of DEPO greater for the next couple of months. Only upon approval.

I agree with the salient point: the crucial importance to sales & marketing of a major partner and the uncertainty/overhang regarding that because of ABT's move.

Mediation, possible arbitration, possible litigation will all take time. IMHO this has taken the huge, capital "P" out of any potential Pop, but that still leaves a nice Op!

First of all who said I'm holding? I am but I didn't say I was.

Secondly, not everything is about what happens with the fda this week. An approval, would move the pps up, I just don't see a big ($1.5 or more)move. I think there will be more upward movement when the abbott situation gets straightened out. No matter which way it goes, with or without abbott, many do not like uncertainty and that's what we have right now.

So to answer your question in a straight forward manner, as of right now I'm holding for fda and abbott situations to work out.

All I know is that tomorrow shapes up to be an interesting day for DEPO.

Will there be a bear raid? Small number of shorts so maybe not.

Will there be a runup during the day? Maybe.

Will DEPO get FDA approval? Very likely and this will cause price to pop even with the uncertainty concerning Abbott.

I do believe that they straighten everything out with Abbott soon after approval and this will lead to another pop in share price.

I don't think there will be a big jump upon approval. Most believe that it is as close to a sure thing as it gets with the fda. That brings up 2 things.

1. There is no sure thing with the fda, it is a government agency occupied by people whose main concern is always cya.

2. If most think it will be approved then approval is mostly baked into the price already.

I may be wrong, but I'm not always.

No. Sorry to say. I own this and right now, I'm very sorry that I'd tie my funds in this "dead money". Shorts are killing us everyday. There is no end in sight from this constant bleeding. One day up a few pennies, then the next day gives it all back. This is the trend of AVNR since a few years now.

They will not halt it "on the come".

Once they hear from the FDA (whenever that may be) they almost certainly would halt for approval news, but on a CR might just let it slide till the market is closed, or even the weekend.

Never mind the last three days....that pps decreased from Oct 2010 until final approval. That just confirms to trust what you own. CLDA sold off for 3 months on a consistent down trend. But those who had confidence and discipline are much richer!!

I do think depo will churn around the $6 range until approval date.

Just look at a chart of CLDA, they had a Friday FDA release. Looks at the three days prior to the release, wonder if DEPO will follow?
