They already announced what they would do with the cash in the PR about the sale. $1 billion to pay off debts, the majority of the rest of the money will be a for a share buyback program and maintaining the dividend above $2 a share. The next dividend will actually be set at $2.20 a share as per the PR. Bargain at these prices with the dividend. Now if you are looking for a quick flip, buy at these prices and cash out when it hits $52-53 again like it does every year. This is all IMO so do your own DD as well.

What will Darden do with all the cash from the sale of Red Lobster? Not willing to wait for all the cash, they are selling Senior Notes. This will either be big, or the Institutional Investor challenge to the Board (that was dropped) had substance. Buying a little more at these low prices and holding.
