Actually, Luc has no superior claim to the CFZ but we let him do the banning crap because no one else wants to waste that much time. That thread's roots and core participants go back a long way. Several threads and years.

Yes, the CFZ does have its share of fights but they are more circumspect than the one you have going on with Jenna. Bob really didn't have to worry about it too much though, considering the volume of posts. If you pulled all the related threads together we are over 10% of SI volume. And if you added posts to other threads it would be even bigger.

In any event, your fight seems pretty futile because your positions are so intractable and not many read here so you ain't influencing public opinion.

I've never been as bearish as many on the thread - more in the middle, like MythMan - his trading range call was a good one. You may have noticed me defending Meehan - his calls were really good, too, but I was defending him before they panned out. I don't do charts - just look at long term macroeconomics for the market in general, and study company balance sheets and business news for companies in specific. The companies I am interested in aren't doing so hot, so I either have to wait or else find new companies to be interested in.

My job isn't conducive to trading, and I don't really have a talent for it anyway.

I've been spending my free time studying the Great Crash - have wanted to write a book about the Great Depression for several years now and decided to go for it. Working title, "Where Did The Money Go?"


According to William Gann, from the high in 1929 to the low in July, 1932, the value of all stocks traded on the NYSE went from over $90 billion to $12 to $15 billion - that's down about 85% - we haven't seen that. Individual stocks have done that but not the market as a whole. From Feb., 1933 to July, 1933, the NYSE went up over 100%. By December, 1935, the market was up over 300% from the 1932 lows.

So there is plenty of precedent for a very strong rally - and economics were far worse then. 25% unemployment in 1932-1933.

I am not bullish about the economy - more in "wait and see" mode.

Humble "observation," L/V, the whole "thing" strikes me as supremely silly -- on ALL sides, and has for months -- which, I hope, is the point of my two posts on the subject.

First off, paid trading sites rub me the wrong way; second, if one is a Grew, then one should just stick to grewing in their own back yard, period; and third, the armies of pro/con pebbles yapping all over the place about it all are, well, boring.

And while we're on the subject of silly and boring (or should I say clownish, given the local), one more "thing" that fits into that department, in my humble opinion -- HuBob slamming for having come here. Been watching the dood in action since he got here and, well, as I've said elsewhere, he's doing a heck of a job of turning a tanker on a dime, if you know what I mean.

I have seen your posts..very unimpressive. We post once or twice a month and not 25 times a day. The rest of the day WE TRADE and make money. Once in a while I'll post. Of course I don't get into the posting jargon you do, I don't have the time. I know you all love to get everyone confrontational because that is how you get your kicks. For me, its just a temporary aside, it was just too good to resist. The fact that you even answered a post not intended for you is too revealing. This is not the way I want to pass my time. Coming to a thread and posting nonsense and running to complain is not the conduct of a mature mind.

Grow up, this market has spewn many failures. If you are one of them, just try harder maybe you will do better next time. Try to learn that if you have a service that will attract and hold subscribers, a service that has results and has wonderful satisfaction and customer re-sign rate then it will run without constant pushing and pumping and beating of chests all over the place. Also it would help if you spent some time to research stocks a bit and are prepared to put in all the work it takes to be successful. But I guess its easier this way.
