What makes you think I believe any of this?
Like other posters...I am merely coping and posting...
Thanks for your post. It goes to prove you will believe any article about ZEV vehicles. Even the author isn't sure. "If true"
You guys have hitched your wagon to the wrong horse !
China is going ZEV: THE WORLD IS GOING ZEV...EVEN LONDON !

I would direct your attention to the updated "Clean Trucks Program" starting on page 32.
The updated plan is good news for CLNE/WPRT IMO

NEW ALL-TIME LOWS ????
I don't see anything that can stop this free fall...
Last week's PR did nothing...
And Diesel is avaialable almost everywhere !!!
Not so CNG, and even less so LNG.
This may explain the dramatic drop in the growth rate of NGV's, and in CNG sales.
It may also explain why some manufactureres have ditched their NGV programs.
Some headlines about the sales of class 8 vehicles. Keep in mind many of these trucks are last years model. good indication of an improving economy
U.S. retail sales of Class 8 trucks in September hit their highest level in 16 months, climbing over 17,000 units as a broad cross-section of buyers sought trucks, experts said.
Latest prices diesel / gas
The U.S. average retail price of diesel increased 1.1 cents to $2.787 a gallon as oil prices along with Middle East tensions rose as opposing forces in Iraq clashed over control of the city of Kirkuk and nearby oil fields.
Diesel now costs 30.6 cents more than it was a year ago, when the price was $2.481 a gallon, the Department of Energy said Oct. 16. Regional prices for trucking’s main fuel rose everywhere except in California, where they dropped 0.7 cent a gallon, and in New England, where they fell 0.4 cent.
The U.S. average price for regular gasoline fell 1.5 cents to $2.489 a gallon. It is 23.2 cents higher than it was a year ago, DOE’s Energy Information Administration said.
If Westport can resurrect itself then clean energy fuel Surely can. Our day is coming and it is soon my friend! More New Yorkers to buy liquefied Natural Gas within the coming year. Let's see what mr. littlefair has up his sleeve for the earnings run.
pOtato...and we are still under $2.50.!
Perhaps it is because of the weight...?
You are WRONG AGAIN.... I am short and certainly NOT complaining.
I love this stock...it is better than having a free ATM !
Patato Patato, Aunt, Ant. soon the Q-3 will come out and Clear up some of your complaints. Good Day...
Ndakota
THE TRUTH:
What I said: "CLNE's share price has little to do with the price of oil or the weight of EV's... "
What PACK said I said: "pps of Clean isn't at all effected by the price of oil / diesel."
And the correct term is "affected" not "effected"
Just protecting the truth and proper English.
That's not what I said..
Try quoting me correctly...
Keep giving us more of your opinions. Like the pps of Clean isn't at all effected by the price of oil / diesel. Shows those of us who know how far off the mark you really are. Thanks
I got lots more Pack.
Oil ain't goin nowhere unless there is a war...
And you may remember I said CLNE's share price has little to do with the price of oil or the weight of EV's... But you just keep focusing on THOSE IMPORTANT METRICS...and I will keep watching ROI's and ROCE's...
Hey Boys, Here's another nice article...
http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1113175_electric-cars-win-on-energy-efficiency-vs-hydrogen-gasoline-diesel-analysis
Is that all you got Jack!! LMAO. Glad you're reading my posts.
Good Day!!!
BTW Oil is over 51 a barrel
ARE WE UNDER $2.40...AGAIN ????
Why??? I thought that there is a backlog of trucks somewhere???
I guess that those are diesel trucks.
GOOD DAY !
Here's another nice article!!!
CUMMINS IS GOING ELECTRIC... Cummins doesn't care if one state has a problem with their grid... 49 other staes don't.
UH, OH...CUMMINS IS GOING ZEV !!!
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/cummins-cmi-power-gillig-apos-134401577.html
Nice find can you Imagine how many Blackouts California would have and no way to fuel those E/V. There is room for all the Cleaner vehicles Good Day..
Ndakota
Absolutely, the power grid is totally unable to handle even a mild increase in electric usage. California would not be the only area of the country that would be effected. Brown outs would happen all over the country.
I'm sure many of our pie in the sky politictions have a bs answer for that!!!
Here's an analysis that outlines the problem with going mainstream with electric vehicles.

Yes I did look at the requirements...
and here are the answers to your questions in BOLD:
YOU: Did you notice the requirements?
Must be able to carry 1500# and 155 cf of cargo space. The vehicle is rated for 1,600 pounds and 160 CF
Those are two very important features. I wonder what the cost is? $25-$35 K depending on features.
YOU: Did you also read they are evaluating alternative fuel vehicles? YES; EV's ; FCV's; H-2; NGV's and Hybrids. Hybrids are leading because of the lack of infrstructure for natural gas and Hydrogen re-fueling.
With NO major retailers rolling out natural gas or Hydrogen, there is insufficient re-fueling capacity in most postal territories.
Having multiple vehicles with differing fuels would greatly limit inter-changeability, so the test vehicles with the largest supporting infrastructure are gasoline and diesel hybrids.

The truck must be able to carry 1,500 pounds of mail and have at least 155 cubic feet of cargo space.
It is expected to have a vehicle architecture similar to the Workhorse W-15 electric pickup truck, sharing many components, Jeffrey Osborne, a Cowen & Co. automotive analyst, said in a recent report to investors.
The truck delivering mail in Virginia has an attention-grabbing profile that features a low-slung aerodynamic hood, oversized windows for increased visibility and an upright stance for the cargo box. Painted with the postal service eagle logo and red, white and blue livery, the right-hand drive truck was clearly an electric vehicle and made almost no noise as it drove through a Virginia neighborhood.
The USPS also is evaluating mail truck prototypes from AM General, Karsan, Mahindra and Oshkosh. All five entrants delivered their prototypes to the Postal Service last month. An award is expected in the first half of next year.
Here is another interesting article:
UH OH... Look at what the USPS is TESTING !

Gasoline hybrid
You have a way of finding some of the most interesting articles.
Holy NatGas Kray!!! HUGE!! This might effect WPRT more than CLNE. Any thoughts?
What are you talking about...?
Cliches... really?
PLUG is down below $2.50 for almost a year.
I have been able to cover my shorts under $2.40. And even some BELOW $2.20!
And there is no news or Catalyst to stop the free fall.
Don't count your chicken before they hatch. It's been the saying on this stock for a long time ( Egg before the Chicken) Good Day...
Ndakota
LOL.... UNDER $2.40 !!! LOL
LOL !!!
How many gallons does CLNE sell in China....???
Hysterical !!!
The ANSWER is NOT NGV's.
The new requirement is ZERO EMISSION VEHICLES (ZEV).
If I am a fleet manager in California, why would I buy an NGV, when I can buy a ZEV instead?
I may have to wait a year or two for some applications, but I am not interested in owning a BETAMAX in the meantime.
NOTE: Not all ZEV's use batteries, or Lithium...
WHO SELLS MORE TRUCKS? VOLVO OR GM ?
UH, OH !!!
https://www.trucks.com/2017/10/03/general-motors-hydrogen-fuel-cell-electric-truck/
NOPE !!! BUT BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY DOES.
BH has invested more than 10 timnes more $$$ into electric utilities than they have in the retail fuels business.
And when you look at the retail fuels business, Pilot/FJ sells 1,000 times more diesel than natural gas.
Flying J sells electric?
LOOKS LIKE WARREN IS RIGHT...AGAIN.
That's why he has invested more than 10 times more in electricity than he has in retail fuels.
Let me clarify a few mispercetions...
Not caring what anything weighs, means I don't care what a ZEV weighs either. If a ZEV investment is well run and makes me money I don't care if it weighs more than the moon. Weight is NOT one of my investment criteria. (GO BALLARD)
And here's a fun fact, being SHORT is making an investment in a company, so I have had a position in CLNE since the teens. Building a short position at these low levels is much more difficult, but that DEAD CAT BOUNCE to $3.00, last month really helped. Boy, did those gains last !!!
As for the internal combustion engine, I agree that it will be here for decades to come and it will still be using DIESEL FUEL !
Yes, ICE's will be using natural gas, too, but not nearly as many or as much as you think. Face it, this niche is already way below where you thought it would be when you invested... and back then the rate of growth was more than DOUBLE what it is today...and now we have ZEV competition.
Looks like Warren investing in dying industry with all those electric trucks coming... lol
https://www.google.com/amp/s/investorplace.com/2017/10/warren-buffett-pilot-flying-j-berkshire-hathaway-brk-a-brk-b/amp/
Kettleman
Just as you and I predicted months ago this new engine from CMI/Westport, ISX12N, is going to be a HUGE success.
Say what!! This is a direct quote from you "Let's focus on our investment"
You have made it very clear in past postings of a zero investment in CLNE. Can't have it both ways!!!
If you don't care about what a unit weighs then why push this false narrative on ZEV's? Don't blow off the many engineers and CTO's who are saying internal combustion engine ate going to be around for many years.
If clean's management is the worst you've ever seen, your words, then stick with that premise.
I don't care about truck drivers or Equifax. Let's focus on our investment which has nothing to do with truck drivers or the CEO of Equifax.
The fact that the Equifax CEO is rewarded for his incompetance too, does not justfy CLNE's lopsided insider compensation .
I also don't care how much anything weighs, I care about this company's financial performance.. which is among the WORST I have ever seen.
There is a reason why we have fallen from BILLIONS in market cap to where we are today... $2.50/share. And the reason is lousy management.
Drivers are in extremely high demand in case you didn't know.
What else is new about people in management. The guy at EQUIFAX is going to walk away with 90million. Look what he let happen on his watch.
I'll clue you in on these so called ZEV. They're about 40% heavier than a diesel / gas powered unit.
And just so you didn't know these units are being given to the carriers to test. Yes given to them. No trucker is going to pay double for a totally unproven unit.
Somebody cares... about the bottom line.
Obivously not the truck driver, until his company goes out of business and he is out of a job, because they are overpaying for their trucks.
But then, he can always go to work at CLNE, where the insiders get rich, and no one cares about the bottom line....
A Port Authority driver could care less about the cost. He only cares about the drivability of the truck.
What do you think a battery powered or fuel cell powered truck weighs or costs. Double that of a diesel powered one?
Now this is more than likely the TRUTH. Read between the lines
They get enough smell from the garbage they pickup, lol.
If you look back in my posts you will see that I said,.
"Fire DEMERS and the share price will double. ". "Hire someone with an IQ and the share price will double again."
It may not be all sales, but just more faith in management.
We were all convinced DEMERS would destroy the company.
The same goes for Littlefair.

Our Mission
Clean Energy is changing the way the world fuels its vehicles. Energy independence is an undisputed goal for our nation, and we at Clean Energy know just how realistic and attainable that goal is with natural gas fuel. Moving forward in our thinking as well as in our vehicles means a safer, healthier planet for all of us. This change is already happening. Natural gas is abundant and domestically available and is already used as a cleaner source of energy around the world. - See more at: https://www.cleanenergyfuels.com/about-us/#sthash.xIy4zrGL.dpuf
Clean Energy Fuels’ company growth over the decades has been marked with risk and reward, and always defined by passion. Entrepreneur and energy pioneer T. Boone Pickens and current Clean Energy President and CEO Andrew Littlefair had a vision they felt could change this country for the better.
The idea behind natural gas fuel is two-fold, and Americans hear a lot about both of its main benefits: a greener planet and energy independence. Like all paradigm-shifting ventures, Pickens’ company started relatively small and grew with consistency that proved he wasn’t just “onto something.” He was putting in motion a company that is instrumental in making the change that so many of us talk about.
