Hyperion, the first Mexican digital agency that could go public

Just five years after its creation, Hyperion Digital is today one of the most robust agencies when it comes to moving from a member to join a staff that aims to close with nearly 100 workers this year and they hope to go public. in less than five years to become the first digital agency to do so.
"We seek to continue growing, doubling or tripling sales next year, we want and we are preparing ourselves so that in less than five years we can go public, we want to be the first digital agency to do so, they are very ambitious plans but with the growth of the market and With the talent we have, we can achieve it, "said Luis Nieto, founder and CEO of Hyperion.
In an interview for EconomíaHoy.mx Luis Nieto explained that Hyperion has four business models: digital marketing agency, content creation, digital strategy consulting and software factory. There are 4 companies in one, the challenge is how to create value in each of them under the same business model.
"Although we are a relatively new company we are already the oldest of the digital agencies, but clients are looking for people who know how to do things, who have proven success with very solid success stories and robust projects", stressed.
It is estimated that for this year, Mexico's investment in digital advertising will amount to $ 1.71 billion in Mexico and is the second country with the most investment in the sector, only after Argentina.
"We are in a huge growth bubble, so the industry becomes very fertile and any strategy can work if it is implemented correctly," he said.
At just 30 years old, Luis Nieto commented that despite the boom in the industry, it is necessary that those who bet on this business do so with the intention of adding seriously, he indicated that there are many agencies that only eat the budget of the clients and they also do not grow.
"We have a responsibility to create jobs, we need to be more responsible entrepreneurs and understand that we can do a lot of things today because it is a great time."
According to Greek mythology Hiperyon is the god who walks on high, this was Nieto's benchmark for building his company, which in no time has grown and managed to position itself as few in Mexico.
"I started giving consultancies and I realized that we were telling the clients what to do but the desired result was not reached because I did not implement it and the clients began to tell me, if you are so good, let's see you do it, and we started to implement what we said we should have done, "shared the young businessman.
Despite the fact that technological advances have fostered the growth of digital agencies, the added value of Hyperion is to lead and connect teams with different profiles so that they interact in the four lines of business and can generate value in projects that have never been carried out. Luis Nieto explained that strategies that now integrate software and data analysis have evolved and implemented, as well as techniques such as programmatic marketing to predict consumer behavior that continues to be marketing, only much more complex.
"One of my hobbies has always been technology, I started to realize that marketing and technology were coming together and I started to see that companies like Google, Oracle, Facebook, Adobe were putting out products that were focused on marketing and data analysis and I started to see that it was the best combination between marketing and software and understand how to integrate social campaigns, "he said.
During the five years that the company has run, they have attacked just over 100 clients and in 2017 alone carried out 280 projects
"Today we are not focusing on much more long-term projects, that is, fewer projects, larger ones and with slightly more select clients," he explained.
