They just switched accountants, which companies occasionally do from time to time for various reasons (most frequently - the old accountant is not making them a priority client, the old accountant is not capable of handling the complexity introduced through company growth, or, on occasion, the old accountant does not have expertise or license in some new jurisdiction the company or a subsidiary is beginning to operate in.

To me, the most significant thing about this was that they actually filed the notice on Edgar, indicating that they still care about compliance with US market standards. This suggests they may yet try to find a new custodian for the ADRs.

On April 14, 2021, Marcum Bernstein Pinchuk LLP (“MBP”), was dismissed as ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd.’s (the “Company”) independent registered public accounting firm. Since the commencement of MBP’s engagement in July 2019 through April 14, 2021, there were no disagreements with MBP on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure, or auditing scope or procedures, which, if not resolved to MBP’s satisfaction would have caused MBP to make reference to the subject matter of the disagreement(s) in connection with its audit report. MBP has not issued any report on the consolidated financial statements of the Company for the 2020 fiscal year.

On April 14, 2021, the Company engaged Shanghai Perfect C.P.A Partnership to be the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm. The change of the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm was approved by the Company’s Audit Committee.

Great news, I have just received an update on the transfer of my shares to a certificate and "the Law firm who is working with the company to issue the share certificate advised that the certificate will be available around the end of April"
This company is not dead and maybe we will see a move in May

On E-trade, I also have a different number when I hover the cursor it states "sponsored ADS." All info, share total, gain/loss and value are all exactly the same as the last day of trading.

Yes - I have about 25K shares (actually, 25K ADRs, with each ADR representing 16 ordinary shares) at Schwab. They don't show up as CCIHY any more, instead they list under "symbol" 1498460 and show price and value both = 0. The position does carry my cost basis from CCIHY correctly.
