UWBK or not, I look forward to meeting you. For not having met in person, you read me like a book. I suppose my writing skills effectively and accurately relate my struggles to other posters such as yourself. That, in itself, is a miracle.

EC, just too emotionally attached. You have to remember that I'm a technical thinker and put a lot of energy/time into UWB and the board. No big deal, but I have too many good things going on with my family to be jolted by, as you say, a pinkie-bankrupt-gamble.

Edit: (trying to save a post) I'm much more intense than my writing would suggest. I've had to work on that over the years. I find that writing serves a purpose and is the perfect medium for a type-A personality. You should hear me talk about American politics and social agendas... whew!

EC, I'm hoping the same for you as well. I have some personal plans that have nothing to do with cheap women, expensive airplanes or vehicles, luxury homes, etc. That's not who I am or desire to be... ever.

As for riding free shares, it was difficult to achieve with that one, but I was able to get my cost basis (investment) out and I have been adding since mid-December. So, I'm certainly not riding free anymore, but over 1/2 of my position is on the house, so to speak.

Looking forward to Vegas. I'm thinking we'll probably be able to schedule something as soon as late March and as late as July. Here's to hoping that justice is served in a timely manner.

I like bottom trading with certain technicals. But as of late my discipline has been shitty, and when I should have left a loser, I hung in waaaayy too long. If I did what I said I would do, I would be very fine.

I truly hope you make an incredible amount on UWBKQ, and it changes your and your families life for the better.

Yesterday- I was referring to our little EOD wager.

EC, I'm really not concerned at all. .26 is the lowest entry (dc_350) and then your .30- Heck, if I have to, I'll buy the winner's ticket myself. I'll gamble that folks will contribute once we win and start enjoying some time in Vegas together. Right now, we have 26 entrants- A round trip ticket price of $1000 is only $40 apiece.

If you can convince a good amount of others on the board to ammend the rules, I'm down with that. Besides, you are the reason I'm there in the first place.

Let me amend my answer cheeps. I think United will win "something"...but it may not be near enough to right the wrong...and to me that's as good as a loss.

I would be interested in a lawyers opinion to know if United does win big if that opens flood gates for other banks who suffered the same (or even worse) handling by regulators?? Would they have recourse because of the United case? Is that in the back of the Judges mind as she considers a ruling?? Should it be?

The Gov't has done a masterful job of demonizing Wall St the past 4 years and especially banks! Could that subconsciously influence her decision in some way? I think it could. If you ask 1,000 Americans if a bank should win a case like this 999 will say 'Oh hell no'! I don't think Judges are immune from public sentiment no matter how impartial they're supposed to be.

It's politically correct on Main St to think Wall St banks are evil to their core and however Uncle Sam can put the screws to them is more than justified.

I don't agree with that but I'm afraid that's the culture we live in 2012.

I want United to win. I don't own shares so its not for monetary gain that I feel that way. I want right and wrong restored in our country. period. The question is is the Judge of the same opinion and does she have the guts to do it?

ditto wingman. Consider your hand shook bud. I've been doin good. I finally did 86 the THMR preferred's...I was tired of looking at it cheeps and moved on. I'm done with it completely and threw the rear view mirror out the window.

Since then I've done real well on STBP. I was in at .03... when it hit .17 sold... and am back in now at .11. I lucked out and hit on some good timing for a change.
