COWP is having major bounce could be on the way
Now .012 x .03 on 10K buy at .02 Cheapies under .02 gone now
It has one rental property left, but the issue is the pension liability. They have to transfer it to an insurance company(pay a premium to do so... of course). It won't be clean until both are satisfied. They are non reporting as well.
I just watch this(radar)...and look for a new filing if it should come. There are no assurances of such. The man is a legend:

ok so for a clean shell with 4.5M OS for COWP and 10M OS for COWPP I believe this is cheap if one can scrape some shares at .0104 etc - even .02 is cheap
You have L2 for COWP?
No...they have been liquidating their assets for quite some time. The liquidation preference is associated with the roughly 10 million preferreds. they have a liquidation pref of $10 per share......Delaware says that that means squat. That's all.
If the raider...Edelman...wants to do anything with the shell....the preferreds do not have to liquidate @ $10. Given that they were issued as dividends...Asher controls the preferreds as well...........he can do what ever he likes if so....

Well...apparently the liquidation preference "is" negotiable(extremely) in Delaware given recent developments over the past couple of years(especially this past summer):

"On July 18, 2012, Court of Chancery of Delaware’s Chancellor Strine excluded the application of a liquidation preference when determining the value of common equity in an appraisal action."

I know what you are thinking here. You just have to "hope" that the preferreds are "open for negotiation". I put in a bid a while ago and pulled it. Good luck.

have seen them do this several times now
with 4M OS and float closer to 2M this could move hard if anything developed

traditionally COWPP has had lower volume since it is preferred shares. insiders own mainly common shares. common get a preferred stock dividend historically. hence imo best to have common shares. preferred shares given preference if liquidation.
Which do you think is better COWPP or COWP? I got my eye on accumulating these over time. got just a starter of COWPP today. COWP did run for some reason pretty high last year, I presume it was just a IHUB run.
Curious action today. HILL at .015x.03 boxing. Gave me a partial fill for 9K at .02 cents. Would not fill me at .025 cents. Took a while to get a fill. HILL ran to .10 and left NITE at .05. NITE ran from .05 to .10 and then on up to .15 cents. NITE got on the bid at .02 before I got my partial fill from HILL while I sat and waited.

15. RELATED PARTY TRANSACTIONS
Interest Expense Related Party - At July 31, 2007, all of Canal's Long-Term Debt is held by the company's Chief Executive Officer and members of his family. These notes pay interest at a rate of 10% per annum and come due May 15, 2009. Canal has incurred interest expense on these notes of $202,000 and $203,000 and for the nine month periods ended July 31, 2007 and 2006, respectively. At various times during fiscal 2007 and 2006 certain holders of these notes have agreed to defer interest payments due them to help Canal with its cash flow. All deferred interest liability for fiscal 2006 plus accrued interest at a rate of 10% per annum, has been repaid as funds became available. As of July 31, 2007, the balance due under these notes was $2,687,000 all of which is classified as long-term debt related party.

Item 8.01 Other Events
On June 13, 2005, the Company sold approximately 25 acres of land located in
Sioux City, Iowa (formerly used by the Company for stockyard operations) for One
Million ($1,000,000) Dollars. This was a cash sale which generated operating
income of approximately Four Hundred Thousand ($400,000) Dollars and will be
included in the Company's third quarter operating results.

Curious. I disagree. Limited risk here IMO. Not near the risk a short position in GVRP would have. GVRP, and being SHORT, would be a very dangerous stock. COWPP is nothing but a dividend play IMO.
