China is making sure its electric vehicle ambitions stay on track as it recovers from the devastating economic impacts of COVID-19.

In the last few weeks, NEV subsidies and tax break policies set to expire this year were extended by two years to 2022, while battery charging infrastructure got a 2.7B yuan injection.

That would reportedly allow for a ten-fold increase in scale versus last year, with production of new energy vehicles falling 60.2% Y/Y to 105K during Q1.

byddy with that investor pull out and major sell off makes me wonder about the mid term potential of elec veh, sales weren't what they thought. Oil's going to have to get way more costly for elec to compete.

yeah i agree but in places like China perhaps there is more appeal for such vehicles

they are burning thru resources there like crazy

at current pace they will have gone thru their domestic coal supply w in 30-40 yrs and they have a serious pollution problem also

so burning tons of oil is not in their best interest

I noticed this cuz of the drop. Not invested here. Not sold on elec vehicles yet. Maybe next decade. Eventually I think they will catch on but too much relatively cheap oil still. Are you still in BRZL?

i'm keeping an eye here to see if i can find a nice range to maybe not only grab a small position but also to play the swings

i love to find a co when it's down w huge upside and play the swings cause in general u won't get burned on the downside

did this w tech date (TECD) a company started down here by father and son couple of decades ago which now has a campus of buildings

ten mins from where i live

anyway i was playing the swings on it and it took off a few bucks and i made a nice little profit
