if they were t0 be under anothers umbrella making lots of money,is that a possibility? im trying to connect dots...they have partners they are working with and have big contracts still...do you have an email for him? also too any idea when they expect to emerge from bk?
Afraid I have no idea at all, your have to try reaching out to Bob Graham. Last I saw they anticipated they would emerge from bk, but from what I can tell, no longer appear to be a public company, so I guess this is essentially just a 'zombie ticker' now.
DIP Financing as a Potential Solution
A company facing such financial woes is most likely already considering restructuring or even selling the business. Out-of-court workouts are another option and might succeed. However, sometimes a Chapter 11 filing can provide powerful options, including the ability to facilitate financing. If a company needs a loan but a potential lender isn’t willing to provide it or has a concern about a legal challenge, the Bankruptcy Code offers a way to assure a lender that the loan won’t be challenged. This would remain true even if the lender is an insider or potential purchaser.
according to the bk filings blackridge is a 'debtor in possession' defined as this: A debtor in possession (DIP) is a person or corporation that has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection but still holds property to which creditors have a legal claim under a lien or other security interest. Debtor in possession (DIP) is typically a transitional stage in which the debtor attempts to salvage value from assets after bankruptcy.

notice the last part where it says:transitional stage which attempts to salvage value from assets after bk....how exactly might it play out? wonder if commons will be saved ?? this is intresting
any idea when they might come out of bk?
I'm not really all that familiar with the company, I bought back during the IPO in 2017, and did some DD back then, but sold on the initial run from something like .60 to $6.00, if I remember correctly. I've loosely followed it since then, but not that closely.
From what I can tell, it looks like private company now. They filed Chapter 11, and did not liquidate. I'd assume they could be acquired by another, public company, and go essentially go public again as a subsidiary, assuming it was approved by the Bankruptcy Court.....but I'm not 100% sure.
Berkshire Hathaway is one example. But what if a company bought majority number of shares and moved it under a or shell that's clean? Do these guys have any partners they are working with on projects?parent company ...just to have ownership of the company ? Or put it under its umbrella?
Can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but I don't see why not.
is it possible for any public company to file bk...and come up private under a public company umbrella or something? if so...how might the possibilities work?
No clue, don't have enough experience with BK stocks to say. Apparently they will emerge from BK, and expect to recover, but it does not say what will happen to the shareholders.
You'll have to contact the company ask.

is there any hope for shareholders to receive anything for their shares after chapter 11c is settled???
Yeah, agreed, it's a shame. Way too much toxic convertible debt made the stock worthless, and while the company was losing money hand over fist, the company officers were all making nice fat salaries....that's not a great recipe for success.
how did a company with so much promise and so many patents and awards manage to f##k it up so badly????
This would be my second BK ticker, the other was years ago. Forgot I had it and just sat there. Yeah, you probably got lucky. Saw the increased vol as of late, now we know why!
It does not look like a liquidation at least though. Had a bid in yesterday @ .003 but pulled it right before a bunch of shares dropped, may have dodged a bullet there....not sure. I really don't know enough about BK, I only know the ones I have seen, have never turned out well for the common shareholders.
Yeah just saw it. Really thought they would survive.
Looks like they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Biometrics News: NEC Teams with Network Security Specialist
NEC Asia Pacific has teamed up with a US-based network security firm to help shore up the defenses of its smart city platform. The company has signed on as a reseller of BlackRidge’s cybersecurity solutions, with a focus on the latter’s TAC Identity Device.
TAC-ID is a two-port, in-line network device that is designed to authenticate network connections. Essentially, it acts as an interface between a given connected IoT device and a given network, concealing sensitive network data from connecting devices while allowing authenticated devices to access the network as normal.
That offers a compelling security solution for surveillance systems based on NEC’s NeoFace facial recognition system. In demoing their technologies at the GovWare 2019 conference in Singapore this week, NEC and BlackRidge are showcasing how the latter’s TAC-ID system can secure connections between IP video cameras and the NeoFace application, ensuring that malefactors can’t hack into the system through a vulnerable camera.
“BlackRidge Technology’s approach to ‘zero-trust’ through enforcement of identity across network boundaries is ideally suited for various Smart City applications, including the protection of critical infrastructure such as CCTV networks equipped with advanced video analytics,” explained NEC Asia Pacific VP Vivian Tay in a statement announcing the partnership.
For BlackRidge, meanwhile, the partnership demonstrates the company’s efforts toward “global market expansion and the move into a broader range of security applications including Smart Cities,” commented BlackRidge business development VP Rolf Lumpe.
GovWare 2019 kicked off today at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre and is slated to run until October 3rd, with NEC showcasing its BlackRidge integration from its booth on the show floor.

"BlackRidge Technology's approach to 'zero-trust' through enforcement of identity across network boundaries is ideally suited for various Smart City applications, including the protection of critical infrastructure such as CCTV networks equipped with advanced video analytics," said Vivian Tay, Senior Vice President, NEC Asia Pacific.
GovWare 2019, held together with Singapore International Cyber Week, brings together global thought leaders, policymakers and innovators to discuss key cybersecurity trends, challenges and solutions. During the show, BlackRidge and NEC will demonstrate how BlackRidge's TAC Identity Device ensures secure and trusted connections between IP video cameras and NEC's NeoFace facial recognition application.
On day two of GovWare, John Walsh, chief strategy and technology officer at BlackRidge, will present an overview of zero trust security in the Advanced Identity Management and the Zero Trust Environment in Perimeter Security and Access Management track. The session, "With Great Connectivity Comes Great Responsibility," will take place from 2:20-3:00 p.m. SST on October 2 in Auditorium, Hall 406, Level 4. Walsh will also speak on a panel at the CXO Plenary, an invitation-only event of up to 180 top C-suite decision makers from public and private sectors to exchange views on key strategic developments and trends in cybersecurity.

Ours was one of busiest booths in the IoT Pavilion, as people from a wide variety of industries — and from all over the world — stopped by to learn how to secure their IoT devices from being hacked, and how to enable the secure convergence of OT and IT needed to support their digital transformation initiatives, including factory automation critical infrastructure protection. We collected over 400 qualified leads and discussed at least 10 product trial opportunities. Some prospects even asked to purchase our new TAC-ID at the show.
The IoT security demonstrations were particularly well received, indicating that there is strong interest in using an identity-based approach to secure IoT devices on IT and/or OT networks.
